  1. At that point I'd rather just keep Markstrom. If it comes down to it I'd rather just see what we have in Juolevi and our other Utica guys. With Brodie out I don't imagine Calgary's looking to move a D anyway. Not interested in Puljiujarvi, if we're looking to bolster our top six with a prospect I'd rather take a hard look at what we've got in Hoglander next training camp. Hell, I'd sooner convert Gaudette exclusively to wing and give him the rest of the season to show his stuff in an offensive role. Sooner or later we've got to see what we've got in these guys, I'd rather take that route before trading assets to fill holes. The guys we've got could very well be the pieces that could fill those holes.
  2. If Leipsic continues to play like that he'll keep his NHL job. Fringe guys gotta put in work to stay and he's doing that.
  3. If Washington can finish off Anaheim and LA can get past Arizona it'd be a great night for the Canucks
  4. Washington looks to be doing us a solid Wouldn't be surprised if they came out of the east again and won it all
  5. It's a shame, he's a helluva guy. Very easy to like. Wish he'd won a cup with us. Don't imagine the Devils will save much with him in the minors, maybe he'll be back. Maybe they'll buy him out at the end of the season.
  6. BLACK BLACK BLACK BLACK NO 1

  7. Why would we take on Toronto's rental mess for players under contract even if Toronto had the cap space to make this work? They're in cap hell. This team doesn't need Barrie, it needs to get healthy.
  8. That's a fair point. And yeah, he's a bit unpredictable in regards to what he'll do but maybe with continued growth he could learn to utilize that? Knowing who you are as a player in both positive and negative level is huge. Slowly but surely, he's only 23 and should continue to improve. I'm not privy to what goes on during their practices or what they have him focusing on but one would hope they're trying to work on ways for him to better utilize that speed of his. I thought that first group was what we'd get last night in OT, one paper it's got a great balance of speed and skill so I def agree. Those second and third groups look good too, though ideally the second and third units would be juggled a bit more evenly imo. Bo's certainly the better faceoff guy right now and possession is huge. I'm not pushing for Jake to be one of our go to guys, but for him to not be utilized at all seems like a waste considering his speed and gradual improvement on both ends of the ice.
  9. He's getting better, I personally think he's capable of it. His speed can get him out of trouble. 3v3 overtime is a calculated gamble at best anyway given all the space. And if the coaching staff doesn't think he's capable of it they should have him practicing it if they aren't already, speed is one of the biggest assets one can possess 3v3. Defense can be taught.
  10. Which is why so many of us are confused that he rarely, if ever, sees the ice during overtime..
  11. The ocean? Really? I know BC can be mild in comparison to the rest of Canada but it's still November!
  12. We got a point, that's huge. Ugly game though. Our game from October to November still looks like..
  13. Feel bad for scoring there, but good on the guys for staying focused
  14. I hope those who've been pointing fingers at Bo take a hard look at his faceoff numbers and ice time tonight Yes, he's struggled, but he's being expected to be our defensive anchor and produce at the same time while our center depth is gutted
  15. Ducks, Kings and Coyotes got points tonight Sharks currently leading
