  1. Should be a good goal, he didn't kick or glove it..
  2. They called the dive, I'll be damned.
  3. Oh man, I'd love to snag O'Relly. With the cap going up and Booth likely being bought out his cap hit would be a wash anyway. Having four legitimate top six guys would do a lot for this team.
  4. Because fans being upset with their team due to poor performance equates to being a bandwagoner. Noted.
  5. I'm not expecting miracles, but it could do a lot for our offence. We've got a number of second/third line tweeners, but only one true second liner in Kesler. Burrows has benefited from playing with the twins. Kassian has been improving and pitching in more often, but I wouldn't call him a top six guy just yet. Balancing the scoring could be huge for us. I agree with you on the deadline bit though. If the right deal for a top six guy can't be found I'd sit and wait til free agency. With the cap going up and a likely David Booth buyout we'll have some cap space to play with. We'd have to overpay, but it's an option. I'm loathe to part with our prospects. But I'd part with our first and prospects not named Gaunce, Horvat, or Shinkaruk for a young top six guy.
  6. If we had some legitimate secondary scoring there wouldn't be as much pressure on the twins. The scoring would be spread around and the other teams would have to focus on more than one line. Kesler's great, but having four legitimate top six guys could do a lot for this team.
  7. This is why you don't trade for a rental.. you trade for a top six guy with term.
  8. Powerplay is brutul. Edit: Looks like I spoke too soon! Kass!
  9. Can we at least busy the shutout? Bust the scoring slump?
  10. God damn it. Gillis you've gotta do something. We need a legitimate top six guy.
  11. Come on boys, break the scoring slump.
  12. Looks like he's split the twins up. Hopefully it sparks the team.
  13. Booth's looked pretty good so far, hopefully he can keep it going. We need goals, hopefully we can bury a few in the second. Gotta start capitalizing or we'll never pass LA in the divisional standings.
  14. As interesting as O'Reilly is I'd rather keep Edler. At worst he's a #2 guy imo, and he's got a great contract in comparison to what D seem to be getting now.The fact he's having an off year doesn't all of a sudden make him not worth keeping.
  15. A vote eh? Let's see if we can bump him up some more.
  16. I'd love to snag Dubinsky, but that really depends on what Columbus decides they wanna do this season. They aren't too far out a wild card spot. I've seen people mention that he's got nasty history with Torts though. Think he'd put it aside? O'Reilly would be intriguing, we could really use another top six guy. I'd package Tanev in an offer for either.
  17. I like your analysis, and I agree that whatever intimidation factor LA had is likely gone. If the games between us get nasty down the road I think it'll likely be nasty on both ends as opposed to LA bullying us like they have in the past. Losing out on the two points sucks, and the reffing was bogus, but there's still a lot the guys can take from the game. They showed a lot of moxy out there against a team that's supposed to be pretty tough, they just weren't able to capitalize on their chances. The Chicago rivalry has died down a bit, we don't see Boston much, and the Alberta rivalries aren't what they were due to both teams blowing chunks. If there wasn't a pretty intense rivalry between us and the Kings before there certainly is now.
