  1. Does anyone know of a website that follows NCAA hockey players as well as pro hockey players?

sbncollegehockey.com usually has good game reports, prospect info and various other write-ups. They've been a bit quiet this summer but usually have good info before the draft

Any pain during the procedure, or after? I'm trying to decide between Lasik and PRK.

  3. Remembering that I wanted Severson instead of the abysmal Mallet, placing my draft choices for the Canucks this year to see how I do:

5- Cody Glass- Fast, High IQ center who gives it his all on both ends. Biased but he would be a fantastic compliment to Bo down the middle.

33- Grant Mismash- Fantastic shot, another high IQ forward. Shattuck-NTDP-North Dakota is an amazing pedigree, shows the ability and coaching he has received to get the most out of his game.

55- Max Gildon. Was a phenom as a youth player in Dallas, he isn't as dominant as Werenski and Hanifin were at the NTDP but he has potential to be a very good defender. Solid all around, and shows potential to grow, just needs a patient NHL team.

64- Jonas Rondbjerg. High work ethic, energy Danish winger. Sound familiar? Upside might not be top 6, but speed and two way ability should make him an NHLer.

95- Rickard Hugg. Swedish center who's already had a taste of the SHL after excelling in the J20 league and internationally as the captain of the Swedish U18 team. Two way ability and versatility to play wing.

112-Scott Walford. Local kid, solid two way guy. At this point its anyone's guess where the draft goes but you can never have too many defenders.

188-Sebastian Aho. Swedish defenseman that has been terrific over there but no NHL team wants to touch him. Last year of eligibility.

For American prospects the SB nation college hockey blog is fantastic, and starts reporting around the WHL draft age so you can kinda see who goes up or down. Rondbjerg was on the Danish WJC team at 16 so he got on my radar there. International tournaments are where I notice foreign players. Aside from that, 'The Hockey Writers' and 'Last Word on Hockey Prospects' give good reports and go beyond the top guys to give ideas for later picks.

Yeah I checked and outside of North America the limit is 21 before they become an undrafted UFA, which Aho is. No NHL team has used a pick on him, or had him at a prospect camp, despite his terrific play.

  6. Is Gaudette a good enough C prospect that we bypass Glass for Makar?

      canucklax

Happy to share. I know there is probably some hometown bias in wanting him, but anyone watching him play can tell he's a step above the competition. I have no doubt he'll wear a letter in the NHL also.

@S'all Good Man I live in Portland, have seen Glass many times over his career here. He has continued to get better in every area of his game, and is the undisputed cornerstone of the team. Not only does the offense run through him because his vision and passing, but he is used on the PK because of his sound positioning, but moreso great hustle on the back check and smart at clogging passing lanes. He would form an incredible 1-2 punch down the middle with Bo.

  8. Is Gaudette a good enough C prospect that we bypass Glass for Makar?

    1. canucklax

      canucklax

Absolutely not. Gaudette may become a useful player, but Glass has great top 6 upside, to go along with a solid defensive game and unquestioned work ethic and hustle. He's absolutely the type of guy you win with.

  9. Prediction: Against all odds, Canucks will win the 2017 NHL Draft Lottery and pick 1st Overall in this year's draft. Call me crazy.

    1. canucklax

      canucklax

It's not against "all odds" every lottery team has a chance of winning 1st overall. As it stands Canucks have 8.5% chance. Won't call you crazy, just questionable at math

  10. Anyone remember that Rodrigo Abols kid during prospect games where he was lighting it up with us? Is it possible to sign him? Or is he part of the 2016 draft?

    1. canucklax

      canucklax

He's still eligible for the draft, was ranked by CSS I believe. He's been a great addition here in Portland

  11. How long is the drive from Abby to Moda Center in Portland, taking into account traffic? Heading down next Saturday, would love some feedback

    1. canucklax

      canucklax

I've done Portland to Van in 6 hours, about 7 if you stop in Seattle for lunch and gas. If you leave in the morning you should be able to catch the express lanes going south from Everett to Seattle to cut some time and stay out of traffic.

"Nature's Miracle" is a cleaner I've used to get actual cat piss out of stuff, I'd give that a try.

Wow they f*cking shredded. Glad they started with the stuff from the new album to get it out of the way so the rest could be the classics. Pretty much hit every song you could hope for within the time constraints of a concert. 3rd time seeing them and by far the best.

The website of the company was designed by an animal so stupid, the only possible way it could survive is under intense supervision from something with more than 2 brain cells. Every page is a repeat of the same info they've had the past 2 years of school.
