  1. I would love to myself but my wife says exactly what you just said. Basically she says you are trapped. Personally I would love to be trapped in paradise. Not sure what I would do for work. Open up some off shore drilling out west??
  2. The Island is beautiful no question about that. I love BC but Imo if you screw over educators and healthcare personnel you are setting yourself up for failure.
  3. I don't. But I do agree, ALL parties screw over teachers and the education system. Alberta used it's oil revenues to compensate these people very well and all I hear now is Alberta should have saved money and Alberta wasted all it's money. That resource belongs to the people of Alberta I'm fine with governments investing it back into the province. Healthcare is night and day between Alberta and BC and when you adequately compensate teachers, doctors and nurses they want to help.
  4. @luckylager I should point out I do support a very decent pay for people in healthcare and education. It's not just a ndp idea though we had conservatives for over 40 years and have the highest paid doctors, nurses and teachers.
  5. Certainly I agree with vampires but not the others.
  6. Like I have said before the options in B.C are a complete disaster. Now that the pipeline is figured out B.C may as well give Weaver and the Greens a chance, they can't be any worse than the ndp and BC Liberals.
  7. Unions and government funded jobs, big shocker.
  8. I guess you won't be making that donation to the U.S company funding the opposition to the pipeline. I mean why bother the guy you voted for bought the pipeline for you.
  9. Well I do agree Canadian politics is dirty and I would add corrupt as well.
  10. I guess if it makes you feel better believing this.
  11. Considering huge money is coming from the US to oppose this pipeline it might be time you support Canadian industry and Canadian workers.
  12. Or it might just be accurate and hard for a lefty to see. Can't imagine why liberals are losing all over the globe.
  13. The government is planning to sell it once it is operational and generating revenue.
  14. You can't really make that comment with any accuracy. One has been leader one hasn't.
  15. I do as well. I remember in BCs 2013?? Election there was talk about building the worlds most environmentally friendly refinery.
  16. Canada needs to be selling refined oil but nobody wants refineries built.
  17. Canada needs to immediately slow down our sales of raw resources. Our governments have always gone after a quick buck. I would like to see so much more processed in Canada.
  18. Absolutely we should develop more things here and sell them around the world. Canada atm is upgrading New Zealand navy ships that is the first time Canada has done this for another country in a long time. Canada is a very high tech advanced country we should make money off our intellectual qualities. Another example would be the chinook helicopters we bought off Boeing. We upgraded those to an advanced level now we get royalties off all those variants sold world wide. Our lavs built in Canada and thousands sold around the world.
  19. This interesting considering our economy was at its best when Canada was building all it's own military equipment.
  20. You know what gets me is governments in this country will go into defecit over ridiculous spending and cut our military to balance the budget but would anyone actually be mad if our government ran a few defecits to strengthen our military?
  21. Absolutely agree and delaying everything has resulted in us buying from other countries while we are perfectly capable of building these things at home and supporting Canadian jobs and the Canadian economy.
