  1. My point is they get to pick their leaders rather than the party picking the leaders or at least that's how it's designed. Also that person stays in until voted out, the party doesn't have a leadership review and replace the leader with no say of the people. That's the only point I'm making. Also none of it matters because as I said it's how it's designed but not how it's practiced as they use money more than anyone else which usually decides the fate of the candidates.
  2. I don't care it's not right. Politicians can cut their pay and give to these people or they can get that $2000 bucks or go hold a waffle breakfast to earn money.
  3. It's not better, but the way it was set up is a better idea. It's designed more for the people rather than parties picking leaders.
  4. Yes they have pretty much the same issues. My point was the system is set up that the people pick the candidates not the party. Haha I never heard this.
  5. I think this is complete BS just like the federal parties doing it. I thought it was funny u actually said that haha.
  6. It's an interesting discussion tbh. I get it we don't vote for a PM but honestly most Canadians believe they're voting for a PM/premier not an mp/mla. Yet the party can remove the leader if they want to. Look at the Ralph situation in Alberta, the party got worse after throwing him under the bus. Chretien and Martin animosity. The US system is set up better actually as it's supposed to be average American picks the candidates and Presidents/governors/Senators.
  7. Bingo. I call them the new liberals or new left. At one time the liberal party of Canada was somewhat decent but now they're just corrupt social justice warriors.
  8. Well this is beyond pathetic! All four Canadian political parties have applied for the federal wage subsidy implemented by the Trudeau government to cover 75 percent of wages during the coronavirus pandemic. https://thepostmillennial.com/all-four-canadian-political-parties-have-applied-for-the-trudeau-governments-wage-subsidy
  9. I certainly won't be taking any coronavirus vaccine.
  10. Alberta Premier Kenney says he will not make coronavirus vaccine mandatory Alberta Premier Jason Kenney has said that he would not make a coronavirus vaccine mandatory. Speaking on a Facebook livestream on Wednesday night, Kenney said that "There’s been some misinformation that the government recently adopted a law requiring mandatory vaccinations. That is completely untrue." https://thepostmillennial.com/alberta-premier-kenney-says-he-will-not-make-coronavirus-vaccine-mandatory
  11. I'm not sure there was a good choice but I do think the border should have been closed earlier. Let's be honest it was about appeasing the Americans, so essentially keeping a good relationship was more important than Canadians lives. Imo given their numbers the border will need to remain closed for some time yet.
  12. So I see Canada's top doctor finally admitted that the government waited too long to close the border.
  13. @Jimmy McGill I can't remember the exact numbers but I think it's closer to a bill and a half. Edit-my bad it's 1.1 billion.
  14. It wasn't the best move but money was running out. They needed to keep jobs and the price of oil up. Imo they gambled on two things, Trump will win or Joe won't reverse it. If Joe wins and cancels it then I'm 100% convinced the wildrose independence party will win in 23 or the vote will be split and Notley will be premier again.
  15. Jim taxpayers are on the hook for that project to the United States.
  16. Except a bankruptcy probably happens and Alberta is out over a billion dollars. TRUMP 2020 MAKE ALBERTA GREAT AGAIN!!
