  1. Down two, and to be able to win in Portland, the Caps are showing signs of something special.
  2. Wow, and these so-called Canuck fans chide Benning for retaining OEL and his contract.
  3. I just spoke to my cousin who lives in Red Deer Alta., a cancer survivor, and double vaccinated. She spent 16 days in hospital, not intubated though, however, medical staff asked her what her wishes were in case. An entire surgical ward in the Red Deer hospital was being used for Covid patients. GET VACCINATED!
  4. Pro athletes, politicians, in this day and age they're all targets. But, a GM's son is a whole lot of crazy.
  5. When the ref's arm went up, I said Zadina ran into Garlands back. I hope they (the ref's) don't put a target on Garland for the rest of the year. The guy is a ball of energy. OEL an CG have brought new life and passion to this team. The Canucks completely dominated the Wings in the third, but a hot goaltender can do that for his team, like Demko did in the bubble playoffs. OEL was lucky he didn't get a spearing penalty as well.
  6. For the most part, the Canucks are getting out of their own zone much easier this season. Fewer fire drills in their own end, by far. One thing I've noticed, and it's only parts of two games, OEL and Garland, are playing with some passion this season. The look on OEL's face when VP scored his first career goal was priceless. Plus, as a team over thirty shots on goal per game is a good thing, right?
  7. They were in the middle of the pack until Capt Kurt went down for the season.
  8. You, @Boudrias, @Alflives, and I are not quite Joes age and experience. Shaky Walton was as well, when he was on this board. Must be a few more.
  9. ...and my coach. He was a helluva WHL player for the Canucks. So many of those guys had a cup of coffee in the 6 team NHL, so many of them were truly good enough to play in the NHL, a numbers game back then.
  10. Go for it! Like everything else you've posted, I call bs.
  11. drummer4now, I'm beginning to wonder if you are in fact vaccinated. You've been on this board yakking the same nonsense over and over again, and all the while going through everything from rights, to losing jobs, to science, to religion, I don't get it, or you. Quit ^*$&ing trolling, and go get vaccinated so we all can get on with our lives. 20 and 30 year old people are now dying from this virus, but not according to you, it was like the flu.
  12. I'd rather see Dowling on the fourth line instead of Highmore. The coaching staff must see enough in him, to have him on the second unit pp. Plus, he takes faceoffs.
  13. Tippet is gone then right? McJesus, LD, and Barrie all missed in the NHL talent show.
  14. With OEL, JR, and QH hopefully these three can get them through the first wall, that part of the Canuck pp has been lacking since CE and the younger AE were able to do that. I believe the Canucks outshot the Coilers last night too, for the first time in many games, and putting pucks on net is a good thing.
  15. What was going on with all the scrums after the game ended? Was it from the throw in near the end of the game? It seemed the Canadian team was more than *&**ed at a Panamanian player.
  16. I can't read lips but I think Pearson was saying something like, "it was your own *&cking guy". Another case of Mike Smith looking like he got shot in the crease.
  17. That folks was a good, clean body check.
  18. Now I see why JB has wanted OEL in a Canuck uni. They just have to stay out of the box until Motte and hopefully Sutter get back. Garland, Dickinson, Juho, and Pearson all played well. But, the best forward on the team last night was Hoglander, by far. If there is one thing I'd like to see in OT, would be a taste of NH, on the ice in OT. We might be seeing "bubble" Demko too, he had no chance on both Coiler goals. The forward depth on this years team shows why they've exposed MacEwan, and Gads, they weren't good enough to play this type of game. The Canuck top nine is certainly as good or better as any top nine in the league. Burroughs looks like a good, reliable dman, and screw Sportsnet and their praise for how great a game Duncan Keith plays at 38 years old. The Coilers d is terrible, and Smith was terrible on QH's tying goal. What was he thinking?
