What a hot mess in Edmonton. I don't see them winning a game all season.

KB is a breath of fresh air among that group. I believe Garrett is still doing games maybe not in the Vancouver market, but Bieksa would be a great replacement as Shorty's colour guy.

Our section enjoys themselves every game. There are some real hard core fans where I sit. It's a riot sitting two rows up from the Lions sideline, watching Sean Whyte practice his field goal technique during play. The guy is money from 45 yards out. I have to wonder is Betts going to be around once the football world gets a look at his pass rush. Two Canadian D-ends in Menard and Betts, what a coup by the Lions to have them both. Plus a linebacker from UBC Hladick playing lights out.

I get game control vibes from all the CFL officiating crews. The season opener at BC Place was like a flag fest, and almost completely destroyed the atmosphere in the building. Penalties or not, an official could call holding on every down if they looked hard enough. Like NHL games, at the end of the game, penalties are usually evened up. Right or wrong, some of them are head scratchers.

Get out to the game this afternoon, roof open, let's make some noise!

I thought Poolman was better than Bear, and by a long ways. If only he could stay healthy.

The second line should be Pearson/Miller/Hoglander and the third line Beau/Blueger/Boeser. As the season goes on I see Podz moving up either through injuries, or to shake things up. Garland/Beau/Boeser could be moved as well, either two of them or at least one. We have to get a look at someone like Karlsson, Klimovich, Raty, and maybe Phil Di gets a look.

As of this moment our D is much better than the TML's, so is our goaltending.

All those stats, and they still haven't gotten out of the first round. They're a terribly built team.

The Canuck D is better than that mess. The Canuck goaltending is better than that mess. Quality, I'll call you on that one.

I'd say this kid is ready to go! He's damn quick, and a strong stride.
