  1. I have watched a few of those '94 playoff highlites over the years. Other than Bure, the game was sure slow, compared to '11. Bure, though was as quick and fast as any skater currently playing in the NHL. I agree, that 2011 team, when healthy was the best, top to bottom. Injuries and questionable league rulings played a huge part in the Bruin series. Kesler was done in the San Jose series because of his hip injury during the Nashville series. A healthy Kesler would have been the difference, even though, 3 of the Canuck dmen were injured, or suspended.
  2. I think I heard no fewer than 5 times in last nights game, that Toffoli's game was starting to come around. That contract is going to be pretty stinky by the time it expires.
  3. So by saying this, every player that shoots the puck in the NHL is going to score a goal? This statement makes me think you've never played a game of hockey in your life.
  4. The big thing I've noticed about EP's game this season, is that he's mostly thinking d first. How many games have you all seen where he's filling in for a defenseman, or the high man in the ozone. Is this the system, or is he or are they trying to get his complete game rounded out? So far, I've liked his linemates, VP, and Dowling have played well, but, one guy that I thought would make this team better is Dickinson, and so far, I haven't seen anything that resembles the Dallas Dickinson.
  5. So many of people that live in these Countries do not trust anyone, especially someone trying to poke them with a needle.
  6. What kind of people do this to fellow human beings? Glad you got this out there, rant on!
  7. You're still an embarrassment. BYE! But, I'm sure you're tough as nails. lol!
  8. I remember this board years ago when McTavish was hinted as a Canuck replacement coach. Then Dallas Eakin was a hot commodity a year or so later. Well both of them crashed and burned with the Coilers, and all of their high draft picks. So, let's be careful what we wish for. I still believe that Green is a good coach, but when I see mostly veterans on the team making mental errors it makes me wonder if something else is going on? Long hauler issues are what I've suspected since the season began. I don't believe Sutter is the only one suffering.
  9. The town has military helping with the sandbagging, and repairing the dyke along the Tulameen, but will it be enough? If they're getting as much rain as us, big problems. A friend of mine had their house flooded and the front yard had about 5 feet of water on it. Told they had 5 minutes to get out last week. I, at one time lived in the house next door. and many houses along that area are badly damaged. The worst part is so many of these people are doing the restoration on their own, without proper PPE. Most of those homes were built in the late 30's and 40's and I'm sure all the drywall has asbestos, unless they have been remodeled recently (1990) or later.
  10. What's with all you folks going on about the fighting leaders? You do realize the game has changed, no?
  11. Why embarrass yourself? You have to be able to play hockey before you had this chance. I doubt you can even skate?
  12. Steady rain since 7am, heavy at times, and it doesn't seem to want to let up.
  13. Like we need another thread for this...
  14. Has it ever occurred to any of you, that more than a few of these kids are long haulers. It might be that Sutter isn't the only one.
  15. 6 goalposts in the last game against the goalie with the third most career wins in the NHL. Two blowouts in the early season, but mostly one goal losses. They're in every game, but, lets fire the GM, coach and trade all of our top young players. Right? Miller to me should be the guy looking in the mirror, he's become the turnover king this season. The rest, Boeser, EP, QH, and Horvat should be here for the long run.
  16. That, is the problem. The canyon traffic from the Caribou would have to get into Merritt through Cache Creek and then out through Princeton, which would produce an absolute gong show.
  17. I actually believe the Hope/Princeton is the fastest way into the LM from the Okanagan and Kamloops. The bottleneck is Princeton, where the 5A, meets Hwy 3 (Crowsnest). It means putting in temporary traffic lights, or heaven forbid, a bit of road construction to fix the problem.
  18. That rail line through the canyon should be revamped through another route. The canyon is one of the most challenging routes in the Country. How about through the Princeton area over the top through Merritt and on to Kamloops. The Old KVR track beds are still there. Highway 1 is an absolute parking lot at the best of times. The Liberals wanted the Olympic traffic to get access to the downtown core, but what did they do? 200st and 176st and 152st all end up parking on the Port Mann bridge through to the Cassiar tunnel. Not well thought out at all.
  19. ...or for the future. But, hindsight is 20/20. Hwy 1 to Hope is a prime example. The first effort was outdated before it was built, and they haven't caught up to it yet, 60 years later.
