  1. I've been quite impressed with Highmore's game, good speed, and tenacious. Much more ready than the German kid.
  2. I just realized I meant to say NOT to go to. I will never support any of these so-called business owners.
  3. Yes, on this part for sure, I guess the last flight got in this morning from India. People in the YVR lineup were saying all the right things, about isolating etc., will they do it? As a few have mentioned in other posts, the numbers of Alberta, Washington State???? and others from out of Province, in the Okanagan, I wonder if we'll ever get out of this. Then you have the restaurant on the West Side holding a rally. One of the protesters/anti masker was telling the Global reporter to tell the real story?!? My wife and I haven't gone to dine at any restaurants at all during this pandemic, when it ends, Corduroy restaurant will be one we chose to go to. I doubt they'll be in business anyway, so I won't lose any sleep over them closing. Restaurants have been one of the highest contributors of the viral spread, any wonder why?
  4. I'll never have to buy a cell phone, by the time I get my second Pfizer shot.
  5. Almost, means almost! Yes there were a few that did take Christmas vacations to those places mentioned. I believe in BC, a couple of Civic politicians did just that. Alberta, a few cabinet ministers left their Province, and I'm sure there were others across Canada. Everyone praised Trump for cutting flights from China etc., but somehow they found a route through Britain or the EU to get to America. Brazil as well. I agree, closing flights in hindsight should have happened, but this is the deck we've been dealt. But, hells bells if they don't allow us to head off to the Interior or the Island for a getaway. I don't think Government or Health Officials should have to hold peoples hands if they aren't going to listen anyway. Which seems to be the issue with people.
  6. No it never is. I need to go on a roadtrip because I'm bored. Effin idiots. Every health official, almost every politician in BC and Canada, have been saying this since late February 2020. I'm sure you've seen the campers, RV's, and SUV's loaded to the hilt every weekend in the Okanagan?
  7. An ICU nurse told my wife and I to stay home, we'll shop for you! It's getting scarier in the ICU wards. Many are 20-35 years old.
  8. I didn't get the $190 either, but I did get a months free insurance, so I'll take it gladly.
  9. Just a reminder or a bit of advise from an old guy. Call or drop into your pharmacy, if you ask, you'll probably get the vaccination (AZ). My boys are both over 40, and got their first shot Monday night, and yesterday, respectively. No appointments were needed with either. If they have them, they will administer the shots.
  10. To paraphrase Pearson, "he's the real deal". So much for running into a wall, re: playing more games than he would in the SHL.
  11. David Amber and his Covid "break" comment was very odd, I was like WHAT!
  12. Juolevi did not look out of place at all, neither did Chatfield. Ollie is steady, and I like how confident Chatfield is in his game.
  13. Imagine the Leafs losing to a team like that! That team is not built for the playoffs, at all.
  14. As it's probably been said a million times, those coaching changes in Calgary and Montreal have done wonders..right? Take note all you Green dumpers.
  15. Hrudey and his ìf Holtby gives up four goals will be a good sign......
  16. I watched in horror at a cop in Missisagua posing with protesters at a meat head gym, protesting their rights to remain open. The night before a martial arts club in Kelowna doing the same by refusing to comply. The Kelowna club doesn't even have a business license, go figure. My take, the next rollout should be the 20-49 year age group. They want to run wild and free, and by listening to the comments from those two businesses above, its a hoax anyway.
  17. Exactly! Only because they had to, they've got maybe a two or three day practice/training camp. I look forward to those 4 games in 5 night debacles. I'll take "whining" Miller anyday, anytime.
  18. So now you're saying, they're going to sit any of Miller, Bo, Boeser, EP, Motte, Sutter, Edler Hughes, Schmitt (when ready) Myers, Pearson? None of those guys would volunteer to come out of the roster and you know it. This is why 19 games in 29 days is absolutely absurd.
  19. They do, but, if the lungs, or mind ain't cooperating, this isn't happening. Whining? I've seen you say. This, my friend is real, and how this virus affects people differently, is going to come to the true test, when this team is finished their two day training camp.
  20. This game could be like the first game of a beer league for the Canucks. The Coilers are playing in mid-season form, and have arguably two of the best players in the World coming at them. Ugly, might be a good way to describe this debacle. Top it off, they get a back to back.
