  1. It seems colder outside, but, its raining currently in Burnaby.
  2. As well, Dr Henry said they are still in talks with Health officials in Quebec, Ontario, Manitoba, and Alberta as well. So, does this mean that none of the Provinces have given the NHL the green light? I just got on board with this conversation, so if this has been clarified before, sorry!
  3. Mine Hill going towards Princeton??
  4. I've been hearing this as well from many people. As well on facebook, friends asking for someone to drop off a package, or pick up something from another town. What part of essential travel do people not get?
  5. I hadn’t heard that part of your post. I’m sure most folks will prefer the money, over a cut in the PST.
  6. Like I said you have until June, yes staggering the process might have been better. Shows you I guess that everyone hates Socialism, until they need help from Government.
  7. How else would you do this? You have until June 2021 to apply if that floats your boat!
  8. I tried just after the site opened. It had already crashed. I then tried a half hour ago, and got through. Be patient, the site will reload a few times as well. Have all your info handy or memorized, good luck!
  9. Is Ashton Sauntner in the organization still? I really liked his game, but he seems to be an afterthought. I have no trouble with those three cutting their teeth, but not all at once.
  10. We aren't self isolating, but are going back to stage one. No visitors inside, careful shopping (masks etc.). However, a neighbour and I did daily walks in the neighbourhood up to two hours per day, during March to early June. It was our only saving grace. Yes, I don't see a "normal" life for at least two years. Travel, forget it. I won't journey into the Interior at all. My sister came down a few weeks back, and her attitude was one of, there aren't any cases in our town so why should I wear a mask? With that attitude how do we ever rid BC of this virus?
  11. My story. My wife has pre existing conditions. My wife and I self isolated for 13 weeks, family and friends grocery shopped for us, and the little bit of driving we did was to her brother in laws for an outside visit on the patio. In fact my battery died in my car from under use. We are now going to back off from helping with our son and his family when they get out of school in the afternoon. The reason, my wife had a phone conference with her endocryologist, and he said avoid the grandkids for two months. Or, until this all shakes out. Meanwhile, these asshats in Kelowna are having anti mask rallies, the sky is falling rallies, and its a government led conspiracy to shut down the economy. Call me pis*** and very disappointed.
  12. No sanitation charge where I go for a haircut, shop around!
  13. I would like to agree with you, but. How many press conferences have Dix/Henry had in the past 5 months? How many times have all of us been told to social distance, wear masks, and respect one another? I'm 72 years old, and my wife is diabetic, my son has medical issues. We also self isolated for over 3 months, no shopping, barely seeing our grandkids, friends, and whatever else we would have normally done. When I see these entitled brats hanging around Granville Street, gathering in Sturgis Dakota, gathering at tRump rallies, shopping in Costco etc., it makes my blood boil. It's not just the 20-40 age group, its all ages. The time has come for all of us to quit relying on Government to tell us what to do. I believe they've tried as much as they could possibly can, without holding peoples hands. I don't think that should be up to Government anymore.
  14. As should the leader of the free world. His charges should include genocide.
  15. I just got back from Costco Brighton. Would you like a mask? It's not mandatory, but would you like one? I have one in my purse, 50 feet inside the building she's still walking around without a mask. $&!# like this pisses me off, and I'm surprised retailers aren't more demanding of their customers. All the staff is wearing a mask, washing and sanitizing carts, belts, and just about everything else they can do. Entitled and ignorant. I was also at a Royal Bank on Saturday, one of the tellers was on a rant about wearing a mask, she says they fog up my glasses. Meanwhile all her clients were wearing masks. I don't get it!
  16. That alone is mind boggling. Listen to Pence stutter through questions, is there any wonder..
  17. But, you’re going to listen to Trump tell his inner circle to leave a cruise ship at sea, so as not to increase their numbers.
  18. All those "free tests" if in fact they are testing in the US is free healthcare, so there's that. Oh, and how about bailing out the low income working class? What's another 8 Trillion to the US of A's debt?
  19. That's the problem, there isn't ONE Canadian politician or party that has the balls to do this. Trudeau won't, Harper wouldn't have, to name two.
  20. We've canceled our annual Hawaiian vacation, it's not worth the risk. We go "out" only if necessary. I will probably get flamed, BUT, I think Canada should shut the border along the 49th, immediately. In BC alone how many Americans are going to flock to the ski hills, (Whistler/Blackcomb) over spring break? Our Canadian Dollar is barely worth 70 cents, so all the more reason to do so. Screw everything, the horses have left the barn.
  21. He didn't get a full game without suffering concussion like symptoms. Not going to happen unfortunately, I think he's on the last of his hockey playing days.
  22. The applause for Kesler kept building with each step he took towards his chair on the ice. I thought in order of applause it was in this order, Linden, Naslund, Kesler, and a tie between Burrows and Luongo. Other than the twins of course. If anything, I think it was a humbling experience for him, and of course the fans in the City. The twins invited him, so there's that. Kesler had their respect as a player more than anything else.
  23. We have some family members heading to London on Saturday, to explore the City. Hopefully the weather has settled down a bit from what it was earlier this week. Glad you've adopted the Canucks as YOUR hockey team, the playoffs would be an awesome experience for you folks. This City is hungry for a Championship, but, I think we're a year or two from challenging for that.
