[Rumour] Three Leafs on the block
johngould21 replied to Provost's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Didn't he just get put on LTIR by the Hawks. The same day they shut Seabrook down for the year. -
Exactly, even though the Canucks got a shorty, when most of your offensive players aren't on the ice for extended parts of the game, the other guys are bound to get momentum.

[PGT] Buffalo Sabres at Vancouver Canucks | Dec. 07, 2019

Hmmmm, well I put it in the same category as the hits on Sven and Stecher in the past. Montour "realized" what he did! The fact that Toronto saw the need to pull Horvat from the game, in the final two minutes of a close game, after no call was made on the play, makes it even more suspicious. -

Bo wasn't anywhere near the boards, if that's who you are calling out? -

Anyone who says I was whining about the officiating can *iss off. That protocol call on Bo, should have been at least an elbow call. Two minutes left in the game he gets pulled by Toronto from the game and allows Buffalo to tie the game. This crap has been going on far too long in the NHL. I'm sure the Canucks aren't the only team this happens to, but, it's pretty hard to say it doesn't. John and John were going on about the calls all afternoon. -

Four officials don't call Bo for protocol, the league does. We lose Bo for the remainder of the game, (in hindsight probably the right call) but..how do four officials miss that head shot? -

3-3 tie, Canadian market team playing on a Saturday afternoon. Sportsnet shows hilites from Friday night, and of course a feature on the TML's.....Meanwhile it's almost 5pm EST. Is it any wonder why we on this coast feel a bias to the East? -

For sure, and the amount of people that eat processed food and soda is off the charts. Putting soft drink machines in the high schools? What could go wrong with that? -

I only saw one scrap Curt might have lost. Chris Nilan of the Habs, was one tough sob. They continued their scrap under the seats at the old PC, epic. -

My wife does as well, well under control, good for you. I saw something a while back about how there were very, very few cases of type 2 diabetes, back in the early 80's, so maybe it was something that wasn't on the radar. I doubt Curt had type 1, that usually begins from birth, if I'm not mistaken. -

I do remember Tiger Williams well after saying how poorly he thought the Canucks handled Curt. Something along the lines of a simple blood test could have solved everything. Curt was wondering why he felt so sluggish prior to the diagnosis, this after being traded. He said that he never suspected that he had diabetes, and then again why would he? A pro athlete, in prime condition! -

What is the situation with the Canucks and their relationship with Fraser? Rota came in a trade with the Hawks, well into the unveiling of these jerseys. It's like he's never been a part of the team since they messed up with his diabetes issues. Anyone? -

He made that impact on his team mates, and opponents. Curt Fraser did as well with his toughness, Gradin, with his finesse. On top of all that, they put up the points too. -

Smyl, cemented his rafter spot, when he nailed Snepts in his first training camp. Jim Robson used to do a training camp report for the Canucks. I vividly remember him announcing an all rookie line of Smyl, Gradin and Fraser. They played as a line from the get go! I went to the PC, and bought season tickets when that group came on board. -

VC, I'm sure you remember how much the rest of the NHL ridiculed those uni's back in the day. I sure do! Remember the uproar, when they commissioned a marketing firm to study what colours sport teams should wear, and this is what they came up with. Ironic, they still wear the blue that they considered passive. My son has one with a Gradin autograph on the back. I think it's his favourite jersey of all. -
