  1. I think if he's on waivers, you gotta at least give him a chance right?
  2. Yea, I remember those years. Those players were also a big part of the 2011 team that made a run to the Cup, and almost won. Have we had that many prospects being developed outside of that time?
  3. was going to write this. the NHL is a sink or swim league. putting a young prospect into the NHL is asking them to swim, but most likely will sink. They need time to develop, gain confidence in their game, that inevitably transfer to the NHL. This takes times. Something for whatever reason the Canucks have never in their existence never seem to do well of.
  4. So Boeser will most likely be making a lot less than his current contract. But his skating isn't great, and his shot now is even worse. Why would another team want to acquire him? We're definitely selling low on Brock, like, really low. Return probably isn't going to be good for the Canucks.
  5. First of all, no to Tatar. Nemec I hear isn't quite as good as Jiricek, and that 2023 1st would be late, probably in the 20's. Jersey if they acquire Quinn would be in the playoffs for sure and probably making deep runs. Don't think management is that stupid to trade Quinn unless it's a massive overpayment by NJ, which they won't do.
  6. they've also got a lot of anchor contracts on the team too. if those players start to decline, it's going to be hard to move them.
  7. I think we're going to get the 2023 pick, cause I think the Islanders are going to make a strong push with Bo. They're all in, man. I'd rather have the 2024 first unprotected pick, cause there's a decent chance that the Islanders could fall apart with so many of their players in their 30's. Could Bo be entering a rebuild with the Islanders?
  8. Yeah. It tells you that attitude is everything isn't it? Can have all the tools and talent in the world, but if you ain't going to put in the hard work and have a good attitude, all for nothing.
  9. What's worse is that he's a dick so young. I mean, Jake's only 26. Should be entering the prime of his career, and it's very possible that his career after this incident could be over before he's even 30 years old.
  10. I think the top four are probably set.
  11. With some of the other Eastern teams? Probably not. Would this be the first time Jersey's in the postseason with the current group of players? They might need a few years of making the postseason, and pushing before there's breakthrough. Tampa Bay and Boston, and like you've said, Carolina, still very good teams and will be tough to beat in the postseason, especially Tampa Bay with all of their championship pedigree and experience.
  12. Islanders definitely a better team today. Bo's already winning more with the Islanders this week than the Canucks. He's 2-0 with New York. Winning more and making 68M in the bank. No wonder he's smiling. He has everything now.
  13. We'll never understand their lives, I get that. But neither do they understand, or perhaps have forgotten what it's like to be "normal". 7.5M compared to 8.5M. I guess to them it's a big difference. But when you're making 68M as a whole, I mean, c'mon... I just want to have enough to make sure my family is alive and well at the end of each day. I'll never understand 68M.
  14. Well, he got his 1st as an Islander tonight I think, and his 32nd goal of the season. I think he hits 40 goals this season. Unreal.
  15. Well, this really depends on Jersey's rise. If they're contenders, then those 4 1sts aren't going to be worth much are they?
  16. Petey ain't going anywhere. I like Hughes. He's awesome. It would have to be an overpayment from Jersey for the Canucks to part with Quinn.
  17. Larkin may not want to go, it's the same thing as Bo who said he thought he'd be a Canuck for life. You know what changes that? MONEY. Larkin's going to go wherever and whichever team and NHL organization is willing to give him what he wants. This has nothing to do with loyalty to a state.
