  1. Yeah, exactly. But what is the reason for his change of game? How did Bo go from driving the net, and being a player that plays in the tough areas, to being a player that plays on the perimeter and not doing the things that was a staple of his game? Is that on Green or another reason(s)?
  2. and this is really strange, because they used to play together with Miller, aka Lotto Line. How is it that their chemistry has now just suddenly fallen off the cliff?
  3. I think Green's wrecked him. Doesn't seem like Bo's game to be a perimeter player.
  4. I'm glad it ain't my money then. that's a lot of money for a $&!# product.
  5. Yeah. Didn’t Benning want Cody Glass? Look at how that would’ve turned out…. Another &^@#ing bust. 22 points in his NHL career, while Petey’s got what? 163? Would’ve been another Jim Benning special.
  6. Why isn’t Aquilini talking to Jim about changes that need to happen, unless he’s talking about the GM change.
  7. Yeah. Sigh. I mean, EP40 SHOULD be the #1 centre. A RHD has eluded this franchise forever…I don’t think we’ve ever had one. Like EVER.
  8. Guess that’s what this 2022 draft is for. Another top C. Maybe we can acquire another 1st for I dunno, say Miller? Could possibly get a top RHD, and a top C from one draft.
  9. I mean, we don’t normally get these kinds of shots from past players and Aquilini has been the owner for a while now. I’m curious as to what the meeting could be about. What topic could Aquilini want to talk about with Pettersson and whoever the other player is, that the GM or the coach couldn’t? And why isn’t the coach or GM present with him? Makes it look even more suspicious….
  10. Who’s the other guy sitting across from Petey?
  11. Maybe. But Benning has said before that he's not very patient. He doesn't like to wait. Is that a good trait and quality for a GM?
  12. Dahlen's a good player. For whatever reason, he didn't work out here in Van. Maybe it has to do with maturity issues, Benning and his staff's mismanagement of Dahlèn at the time, miscommunication (this seems to be the staple of the Benning management era, it seems...), different expectation between player and management (again, miscommunication), etc. I'm glad he's doing well as a Shark. But man, you'd have to think that both Boeser and Petey will start outperforming Dahlèn eventually, right. Right??
  13. Speaking of Motte. What's he going to cost moving forward. Isn't he a UFA this coming Summer?
  14. Well. I have more time for Bailey than Virtanen, because Jake was drafted 6th OA. Bailey was drafted in the second round 52 OA. He's a good depth piece, a call up from time to time. But let's not expect him to be anything more than depth player that can contribute every now and again here and there. He's not a staple on the team, nor should he be. If he is, we're in deeper doo doo than we realize.
  15. How do we know if the Canucks made a claim on him?
  16. Would be curious to see if Petey plays better on the wing rather than as a centreman. Unless his FO's improve by drastic measures, I'm not sure he can be counted on in the middle. Miller's capable of playing C, but probably is better suited on the wing. Maybe Petey is the same where he performs better on the wing, and not have as much pressure on the dot? Because he's been miserable there this year so far, and I don't really see it improving by a lot as this season progresses. We don't really have anyone working with our players on that.
  17. and that high pick being the 2022 1st? Because that'll be what it takes, and maybe more.
  18. I hope he doesn't trade any 1sts in next year's draft. That's supposed to be a deep draft. We could get some amazing prospects. How many draft picks do we have for next year in 2022 anyways? Does anyone know?
  19. I agree with you that the first move is to probably change the coach before trading anyone on the roster. I've liked Green in the past, I've defended him, but I don't know how I can continue to do that right now. Last night's win feels like more like an anomaly than it does a new pattern and rhythm that's about to emerge. Is it just me?
  20. This bothers me. Because it reeks of unpreparedness and no back up plan. And that seems to be the MO of Benning and his team. No planning. If Sutter was out, how come they didn't think they would need a right handed centreman?? Did they honestly think having all of their centres left handed was a good idea? How would Benning explain this? And then what was the back up plan if Motte wasn't ready to start the season? Was there one? If Dickinson's FO percentage was so bad in Dallas, why did they think that would change when he comes to Van? Like these are questions that obviously we don't have answers to, but I think the media has a responsbility to be asking these questions to Benning. Get him to answer the hard questions, like the really hard ones.
  21. Boys were in some ways lucky tonight considering they didn’t go to the penalty box at all? I’m not sure if not getting a penalty during the entire game is sustainable. Hawks are playing well. We’ll see, but I’m not super confident that if they had to kill a Blackhawks power play, that they would be able to do it. Even Hansen criticized the team’s performance on special teams (PK).
