  1. Hopefully that's resolved soon. But Hamonic playing in Abby to get up to game speed, and just needing games to play in will be good. Does anyone know if he's gotten his vaccinations already?
  2. I hope Kadri doesn't do something stupid tonight and injures one of our players.
  3. Right on! Let's get a huge W tonight! If we could gain a point that'd great, but if we can win outright in regulation, even better! Trying to stay positive with the team...
  4. I don't think the Canucks care. If you can help, give them a call
  5. Yeah. I don't know if I'd want him on my team. But he's a winner. A rat he is, but he's a Stanley Cup Champion Rat.
  6. I'm expecting Podz to have more than the 13 min of ice time he received against Anaheim on Tuesday. The guy is getting there.
  7. Marchand is just brutal. But when he plays for team Canada, everyone will love him. LOL. The nature of sports. Hate the most annoying player, but once he's on our team, he's our annoying little rat. With that being said, I still don't like the guy as a player. He's playing his role (whatever it is) to a tee, though.
  8. we could've still sucked to have drafted EP40 and QH.
  9. Indeed. Thank you to all the men and women who give their lives to protect our beautiful and amazing country for all Canadians.
  10. Petey has now 9 points (3G, 6A) in 13 games. He's slowly catching fire. Let's hope that the boys show up for tonight's game against the Avs. They do have Makar back in the line up tonight.
  11. Then it's the term, for 4 years it was too long. 3M for 2 years? I would've done that in a heart beat. But you're not getting the player for 2 years in UFA. He would've helped with the PK. That's the one part of this team's game right now that's killing us. We could have had a few more wins right now if not for the PK being what it is.
  12. Not every player is built the same way. I agree that he could probably put on a few more pounds.
  13. I'm saying that Beagle with a lower salary would have been an excellent bottom six player who kills penalties, since you know, we don't really have anyone who can do that on the team right now. So yes, considering how pathetic our PK has been, he would have been an awesome addition with that alone (but not at what Benning paid for).
  14. HockeyDB says he's 176 lbs. What was he when he first started? 165? He has put on weight. I think he could probably get to 180-182 lbs, but any heavier and it could affect his game.
  15. Not in the case of Beagle. Benning overpaid for him, even if he was a UFA. That's kind of how it works with Free Agency right? Which is why it's never recommended to try to build a team that way. Too much money tied up in players where their services are "demanded" by other teams. You gotta outbid other teams in the league for said services of a player in this case Beagle. He would have been awesome if his cap and salary was like 2-3M tops. But we would never have gotten him if that was the case (maybe that would've been a good thing). Same thing with Ericksson. Benning bit the bullet with that one because of what Loui was able to produce in Boston and Dallas. But once he got here, he fell of a frickin' cliff and produced near to nothing in his time in blue and green. The Canucks paid 6M for Loui, but never got what the organization paid for. In some ways, similar for Beagle too.
  16. It's probably the two areas that we're in need of strengthening and replenishing in terms of prospects and pipeline. Especially defensive prospects. We need a good draft year in 2022.
  17. My understanding was that he had an opportunity to advance his career. No organization should stand in the way of personnel wanting to do that. It's like if Weisbrod had an opportunity to be GM (God no) - The Canucks as an organization wouldn't stand in the way of allowing him to pursue that opportunity to do that. Plus, we didn't want to let go of King and Baumgartner over Malhotra. How stupid does that look now.
  18. I love Beagle, but not for what he was paid. If it was a little less, then I'd be okay with it. But for 4M, it's a bit too rich for a guy who's on the fourth line and PK's.
  19. they're probably going to be waived again eventually.
  20. Rangers are playing well. They have a great young goalie as well. Shesterkin's really good. Love Demmer though. Gallant's a seasoned NHL coach. He's been coaching a while too, and has probably been an assistant coach in the league as well. Can't say the same for Green. Green's never been an assistant coach. He's gone from AHL head coach to NHL head coach.
  21. hard teams for sure. But Vegas has had an "ok" start to their season. Sometimes the top tier teams also lower their games when they play lesser teams (that's us!). I think it'd be funny as hell if they came back from this mini road trip 2-1 Then our record would be 7-7-2 possibly depending if we can win/lose those games in regulation or OT.
  22. I also think Green has more talen to work with, but it feels like he's done less. Desjardins had a more veteran team with the Sedins, but they were declining at that stage of their careers...
