Yeah, that's a tough road trip. Could come back after that 5-9-2. That's a much tougher place than where we stand tonight.... -

Hell no. Have you been living under a rock? I want that man as far away from the team I cheer for. -
[Report] Vitali Kravtsov requests trade

Yeah, NY's not going to do that. They'll hold onto the guy until they get what they want. -
[proposal] Pettersson for PLD / Boeser+ for Laine
N4ZZY replied to Patel Bure's topic in Proposals and Armchair GM'ing
I love Petey too much to trade him. So no. Wouldn't do that deal. I also think Petey's the better player. -

I wonder about that relationship with Trymakin as well. Assuming he even wants to come back here. But if he does, would he want to play a bottom pairing role with the team? Maybe he wants a top four role on the backend? Wasn't that the reason he left in the first place? That he wasn't given more minutes when he thinks he should have had them? -
Laine? The guy is so lazy defensively. He'd be buried under Green's system, would be in his doghouse pretty quick. I prefer Boeser over Laine, simply because Brock is a more complete and more well-rounded player than Laine is. Petey for Dubois is an interesting offer. I still prefer Pettersson, and think he's probably got the higher ceiling. Petey performed in the playoffs (bubble) so well. I don't recall Dubois having that great of a postseason, though I don't follow the Jets very much so I could be wrong in that. Giving up another 1st by Benning would have him roasted to death here.

I think we're in greater need of a blue chip RHD. Because as of today, we do not have anyone in our system. The closest player to that is Woo, and I don't consider him a top pairing defenseman in the NHL. Sorry. He'd be a good top four guy if he pans out. Perfect third pairing guy if things go well for him developmental wise.

I think Geunther (sp?) was probably the best player available at 9.

There have been times I've called some of our players and their play dogsh$t, though. I think people/fans are a lot more "cold" when it comes to these boards. It's more unfiltered. Especially on these online forums and boards where people can say anything they want without having to face the players they're directing their criticism to. I think that's partly why even the media when they ask their questions, they're trying to ask the tough questions in a respectable manner. Some media members don't do this, but I think most do. If many of us were given face time with the actual players in person, I think it's definitely a lot toned down with regards to our unhappiness and venom. ^ That's us on these boards

definitely no cross ice passes. I wonder why players think they could get away with this and why this is a good idea? Those passes are usually picked off and the other team has a quick counter attack.
-
I'm expecting Petey and the top six to have solid games tonight. Petey with 2 points tonight. 1 goal and 1 assist.
-
No doubt. He's been playing well. I think he's on the cusp of breaking through with a big game like you've said. Let's hope it's against Gibson and the Ducks tonight. Gonna be tough to get two points tonight. Gibson's been playing out of his mind.

This could be a turning point in the season for us. If we lose all of those games, we'd be in deep doo doo

I think we still have a pretty young-ish team. I think sometimes fans (myself included) sometimes think you just gotta NHL21 it. Put together a core group of talented players, and they'll get wins. But the thing is, even these extremely talented players need good coaching and systems to thrive. Players don't get to success on their own, nobody does. Everyone needs everyone else to do their jobs and roles extremely well. If not, it just won't work. Bo's 26 years old already. How can that be? It's been that long? Wow! But this team needs to start learning how to win. They're young-ish, but they're not THAT young. Bo - 26 Miller - 28 Garland - 25 Demko - 25 Pettersson - 22 Hughes - 22 Podkolzin - 20 Höglander - 20 Dickinson - 26 Boeser - 24 Those are the players I consider as core and supporting cast. Everyone else is like role players that are easily replaceable. A dime a dozen kind of players. Those guys median age is 23.8. Okay. still on the younger side, which is why I think this is the time they need to start transitioning to learning how to win. By the time that median age rises to 25/26 years old, they should be contending.
-
Yeah. Not everyone will like the coach whoever that'll be. Even if we hired another coach, there will be a portion of the fan base that will hate that hire. Comes with the territory.
-
Right. That's why I think and hope that the boys come out strong for the guy.
-
Hopefully another 3 tonight. He would have had four had Brock not missed that empty net goal
-
They'll be playing hard to get Halak his first win of the season. The guy has been playing hard, but hasn't been able to get a win. Hope tonight's the first of many to come.

Man that one timer on Sunday against Dallas was wicked. It was hard and so fast. I had to see it a couple of times over and over again.
-
You're right. No team is perfect. But championship teams come close to perfection as there is. This version of the Canucks are better, but they still have some holes they need to fill. Like a quality RHD. A third line centreman who can win an actual face off. Maybe one more top six player to improve the quality of the depth of the team.
-
surprised by this because there's always that one team that goes off the board almost every draft.
-
So it wasn't Green's choice. Get the feeling that it's Benning's way of keeping Green in line.
