  1. I’m just curious. But what is this kid supposed to be projected to be in the NHL? Top six forward? Middle six or bottom six forward?
  2. Assuming that Tanev and Edler can fetch first round picks. I think Edler can. Tanev I’m not sure. Lots of talk around the league seems to be that he can fetch a low first or a high second. But not a mid first round pick.
  3. Encouraging to hear. Thanks!
  4. Depending on where we select. It would be hard to pass on some of the elite forwards in the top three. If we fall out of the top three. I can see Benning and co selecting Byram.
  5. What’s his ceiling you think? Third line centre with offense? He inevitably takes Sutter’s place doesn’t he?
  6. I honestly think that Tryamkin would thrive under Green’s coaching. He would excel.
  7. Would be even better if we can actually land an NBA franchise. This city is an NBA city. We deserve another shot to prove that we can successfully support a team here. This fan can dream. The more sporting entertainment in the city the better. I’m still hopeful that one day we will get a team. NBA needs to be here.
  8. None of those guys are a loss if we lose them in my opinion. Out of the four listed, I can see someone possibly taking a chance on either Gagner, or Granlund. Archibald and Schaller will both clear, I think.
  9. Two years until he maybe comes back? Feels like a long time. and in two years, a lot can change with the defensive corps
  10. Best Player Available regardless of position. Then when we have too much in one position, we deal from a position of strength.
  11. Jake has a lot to prove still.
  12. if he's sent down, he's as good as gone. if he continues to play like he did last night, I think he makes the team.

    Ben Hutton | #27 | D

May be his last season with the Canucks if he doesn’t get it together this season.
  14. They’re basically Canadians now. LOL
  15. I am in some ways preparing myself to be disappointed that JH won't be coming to Vancouver. We will draft top ten again. But we won't get Hughes. We won't be bad enough in the standings and we've never won the lottery under the current system or even under the old draft system we still couldn't get first overall. So I'm not expecting for us to draft him. I wouldn't mind being wrong of course. But a part of it is maybe accepting the fact that it's Canucks curse.
  16. We'll soon see whether he can or not. But as of today. He doesn't really have anyone pushing him hard for the number one spot. It's basically just given to him. Hoping that Demko has someone pushing him so that's there competition and drive to be better every day.
  17. Is this seriously a question and debate? Dahlin without question is the better dman. I love Quinn, and I love the Canucks. But let's be real here. There's a reason why Dahlin is the #1 overall pick in a deep draft. Quinn will be very good, but Dahlin is borderline if not there already, elite. He is phenomenal. And he's going to win Rookie Of The Year. Buffalo's going to be a very good team because they've finally got a number one dman in their system. Comparing the two is ridiculous, cause, well, imo, there's no question who's the better player. Dahlin has a much better shot, stickhandles like there's no tomorrow, and his skating isn't bad at all. Hughes may have the slight edge, but what's that saying? They're both very good skaters. Dahlin at the end of the day, every single damn day.
  18. Yeah. That's not only stupid, but insensitive as well. Can't believe the newsperson asked such a question
  19. Pratt isn't really a sports guy. He's more of an entertainment kind of guy. But yeah, I don't listen to him at all. Our city deserves better radio personality hosts.
  20. I wish we had better....honestly. Botch, I've just stopped reading his stuff. Patterson, I don't necessarily dislike him, but I can understand why fans would. Kuzma, well, I was neutral on him, until his recent question to Hughes about his flu coming out of both ends. Who actually asks questions like that? It's very odd. VERY ODD.
  21. Can't help but think that Ryan Johnson handles himself so well, and has such a mind for the game. I think it's inevitable that he eventually becomes the GM of the Canucks. And he's learning from a great draft mentor in Benning.
  22. That really is a stupid question. what does that have to do with hockey? Is it going to write that Quinn's flu is coming both out of his ass and his mouth? LMAO.
  23. Different preferences to style of play. Old school, big nasty hockey? You've just described the Boston Bruins or the Flyers.
