  1. Get the sense that’s probably where he ends up. This current management striking out at all the free agents and college free agents. Maybe JR doesn’t have as much clout as originally thought…
  2. Turcotte looks like he might be a bust. I’d be interested in Grans more than Faber. Could you imagine if we could get both Grans and Faber??
  3. He’s definitely worth a shot. Free asset that costs just money? Yes please. If he doesn’t work out, cut bait.
  4. Yeah. A top five pick would be nice. But it would definitely cause the team to step back. Who’s going to fill Bo’s shoes in the top six if he’s traded for a player who probably
  5. I mean, at the very least, JR likes Bo, and he sees him being a part of the team moving forward. Does moving forward mean long term? I can’t see Horvat taking a short term deal for his next contract, and if he’s got a lot of “good hockey left in him” why would management not sign him to a long term deal?
  6. I don’t think Kuzmenko is going to sign with us, given how well Edmonton has been playing. I can easily see him going to the Oilers now…
  7. Yeah. I guess. I’d like to see what LA would be asking for Clarke, if not Miller. I find it hard to believe that a 99 point player, who is just 30, couldn’t get a deal done. Clarke’s also an unproven prospect, while Miller is proven in the league. If we had to add, how much more would we have to add?
  8. Of course Clarke would be preferred. But if LA won’t give him up, Faber and/or Grans isn’t a bad consolation prize. Though, any team trading for Miller should know that they’re getting a 99 point player who is making 5.25M. Is a grade A prospect as part of a package worth that?
  9. I’d be happy with either Grans or Faber. Would be over the moon if we could land Clarke.
  10. Marino for starters, but I’m sure we could probably get a better deal than that.
  11. Yeah. I’m with you. Pass. I’ll take Bo. He’s not perfect either, but I’d rather have him the the kind of player that you just described. Yea, there will be questions about how we’re going to replace his 99 points. I guess it’ll have to come by committee. There are tweets by reporters suggesting and hinting that Miller probably is going to get traded. Friedman of all people. Take that for what it’s worth.
  12. We probably need to get some sort of defensive grade A prospect in return for one of those players. Miller would be our best to bring a young RHD into our organization, that would be a massive win. If we trade Miller, and then sign Forsberg, I consider that a win for the off-season.
  13. I think we need to get more quality prospects too. In the past, Abby/Utica has rebuild Markström’s game, developed Demko essentially. We’ve had more promise when the farm team was in Manitoba.
  14. Let’s hope so. Someone out of all the prospects defensively we have, needs to make the roster even if it’s a bottom pairing role.
  15. That’s true. There’s a couple of alternatives, it just won’t necessarily be an immediate help to the Canucks per se. There’s probably going to be some waiting for the team in terms of the players they acquire.
  16. I mean they could change their mind if their ousted in the playoffs. Just because the Rangers said no the first time, doesn’t mean they couldn’t or wouldn’t revisit. Something needs to change if they’re not winning in the postseason. Miller helps them more than he hurts them.
  17. I say no. That’s a terrible trade for us. We’re trading away a franchise goalie AND our best point producing player for Marner? No thanks. Can’t win if you can’t keep the puck out of the net. Without Demko, we’re much worse than we were this season. And we were bad this season.
  18. Why don’t you think we couldn’t get a RHD for Miller?
  19. I would do that deal one for one as well. Lafreniere for Miller. With that being said, do we really want to trade our most prized player in a long time for another forward when we need help defensively?
  20. Ah. Viktor Persson. Boy that guy’s been literally under the radar. Haven’t heard anything about him from Kamloops…
  21. It’ll be interesting which teams call the Canucks on Miller. I could see Boston. Miller fits their pattern and style, and his temper suits them as well. I still think the Rangers have the best to offer the Canucks, but they may not want to part with some of the players Canuck management is interested in.
  22. Off-season can’t come soon enough. Playoffs still in order. Soon after that’s done, it’ll be the draft. We should know what’s going on with Miller and Boeser really soon. Front on the Brock situation is really silent. Is that good news or bad?
  23. Maybe that changes with Bedard when he’s available to come home. Was any of those players you mentioned Canuck fans growing up? I know they’re from BC, but just because they were from here doesn’t mean they were cheering for the Canucks.
