  1. For a 37 year old defenseman? You’re kidding right? PASS.
  2. He’s worth keeping. Management will do whatever it takes to keep him in New York.
  3. I wonder instead of offer sheeting Hague, if a deal can’t be done with Vegas to help them clear cap.
  4. I really can’t see Dobson going anywhere. He’s so young, he’s RHD, and he’s big. Those kinds of defenseman aren’t found often. I think the Islanders would rather lose a good forward, than lose Dobson.
  5. Fingers crossed that Kuzmenko is wearing Canuck colors in a few weeks time.
  6. Yeah, those were some really stupid moves by management. Like dumb dumb moves.
  7. There could be a very real possibility that neither is moved this summer. But I’m with you, if there was one player that could be moved, or who I prefer moved, it would be Miller. Yes, he’s our best player, but he’s also our biggest trade chip.
  8. Yeah. I think it’s also a bad idea to sell low on Brock. I get the sense that he’ll bounce back in a huge way next season.
  9. I wouldn't. Not this draft. If it was the 2023 draft? Then yeah, I would do that.
  10. I sure hope they can. We desperately need help. I was really disheartened when we lost so many NCAA free agents to other teams.
  11. You’d have to think that Höglander gets pushed down to the third line. Load up the top line. Petey, Miller, Kuzmenko. Second line of Bo, Brock, Podkolzin. There’s your top six already.
  12. 1. I don’t think Horvat would complain playing the role of 3C, if it helps the team win. I think for him, he’s at the point of his career that all he wants to do is win. Get to the playoffs consistently, advance, and win that damn Cup for this city. He’s said as much. The guy is a career Canuck. He sees himself as such. I think he’ll get paid quite well, 6M for a guy who can score clutch goals, is a FO beast, can score goals - I’d take that for 6M. It’s a contract he’s earned. And if anyone would take a hometown discount, it’s him. 2. I personally don’t see Dickinson back. He’s been so bad this year, I’m not sure there’s justification and rationalization to bring him back to the roster. The only reason for why he would be back is because there are no takers for his services. 3. Chiasson will be back for cheap. If not for cheap, then he’ll be somewhere else or out of the league. 4. I think Lockwood actually makes the roster next year. In his limited time, he showed well.
  13. It would be a huge win, after striking out on some other collegiate free agents who rejected the Canucks to go elsewhere. It would finally be a relief that management gets a win here. And Kuzmenko sounds like he could produce at the NHL. Is that true that Allvin has scouted Kuzmenko for 9 years??
  14. I can’t see them trading Jack, no way. He’s legit player on his way up. This year was his breakout year, and he’s what? 20?? Kid’s going to be very good player in the league if he’s already producing 56 points at 20 years old. I’m not convinced Luke Hughes is an untouchable. Every player has a price, and for the right price, Jersey will move him. Is that price Miller? Who knows.
  15. Okay. So we’ve got a chance. I wouldn’t be surprised if Kuzmenko landed in Edmonton because of McDavid and Drai. &^@#. I’d hate to play them, because they’d just have gotten better. We need Kuzmenko more than Edmonton does.
  16. haven't heard too much on Kuzmenko and where he might land. Canucks' chances good with the guy?
  17. Yeah, but things aren’t tensed anymore here in Van for him, right? I’m assuming it’s better here in Vancouver for him, right? But if he’s comfortable here, then I guess you can’t move him.
  18. Okay. So if Fiala who produced 85 points can demand those pieces from NJ coming back, what would Miller get in return?
  19. Oh, no way. Not for Quinn. I think other teams in the league could probably have OEL for a decent return, especially if the Canucks retained some salary for OEL. I wouldn’t want to move Hughes. He’s easily this franchise’s best defenseman, no doubt about that.
  20. Yeah. I think that’s why management, in my opinion, is going to try to sign Miller to 5 years. If they can’t, then he’s probably in another jersey come October next season. Miller had a breakout year, a career year. I am not convinced that he replicates this season next season, let alone the seasons after that. If anything, I can see him already declining and producing 60-70 points. I mean, that’s nothing to sneeze at, but it’s a far cry from the 99 he’s produced this season.
  21. Hedman won it before Makar was in the league, no? Not sure about Adam Fox.
