  1. Isn’t Guerin a first time GM too? Just like Benning. Except one was patient enough to build properly, and the other, well, we all know that story.
  2. I think he’s going to be traded this off-season. I would not the least bit surprised if he doesn’t come back. The team’s just going to have a new point producer next season. But I don’t think it’ll be Miller. My gut keeps telling me that he ain’t going to take a discount to play on this team in Canada, when he can be paid quite handsomely back in the States and be back ‘home’.
  3. Petey is going to overtake Miller in terms of offensive prowess eventually, I think. He’s already lights years ahead offensively at the same age, aren’t they? Miller hasn’t really come to his own until maybe this year? What kind of player is Petey going to be at the same age?
  4. The Wild are a brutally physical and fast team. They’ve built a good team. Guerin’s done a good job there.
  5. Oh boy. Another blow to our playoff hopes. Personally, don’t think it’s going to happen for us this season…
  6. Yeah, that could be broken. Wouldn’t be surprised if Halak’s done for the season. Man, down the stretch, winning 6 games in a row - lose so many bodies. Of course this happens to us. Of course. Goddamn hockey gods
  7. I didn’t get to see the game tonight. I figured what happened to Halak wasn’t called as penalty right?
  8. Should know by now that the worse case scenario seems to always happen to our cursed franchise and beloved team.
  9. It’s looking more and more unlikely. I mean, if L.A. runs the table on their schedule, I don’t think we get in. And it’s possible that they could do that as well.
  10. I mean, at least we’re not mathematically eliminated right? LOL
  11. so what are the team's chances from tonight's performance? Calgary also lost too. L.A. won tonight.
  12. sometimes the team just plays at the level of their opponents, in which case it's the Sens. so it's bad hockey.
  13. Kings and Ducks are tied 1-1 Flames and Predators - Calgary lost to Nashville 3-2 in OT.
  14. So what do we need to happen tonight in the out of town scoreboard for the Canucks to make up ground?
  15. The only time they're building momentum at the right time, and they won't make it in. LOL
  16. It’s true that some fans will be happy and some will be upset no matter Allvin does. No win situation. He just has to do what he thinks and feels is the right thing to do for the franchise moving forward. Players are always short-sighted. They don’t care about the future, they care about now. Management’s job is to secure the future while remaining competitive now. There’s tension always between management and their players because their goals aren’t always aligned. I can see why management would want to resign Miller - they also want to win, and they know that their current group of players also want to win.
  17. Byram scares me because of his concussion issues.
  18. Any sources on Maurice liking Vancouver before taking the job with the Jets? I see. Well, COVID and the bubble year took a toll on everyone. But then again, he did have to live in Winnipeg…Soooooo
  19. Yeah. Benning’s pro evaluation was/is terrible. Gave Brock too much. Not sure what his rationale was behind Boeser’s last contract that would set him up for a QO of 7.5M for his upcoming deal. Made little sense. Anyways, Benning’s gone. Thank God. Maybe Brock’s time is coming to an end as well in green and blue threads. Oh well. Better to get something in return for him before losing him for nothing.
  20. Was it even clear why Maurice stepped down as head coach of the Jets?
  21. Not sure why Lambert would go from assistant coach in the NHL to head coach in Abby. Seems like a demotion to me. No way he does that.
