I see your a Hodgson fanboy eh? His agent tweeted "We did ask for more ice time" and also tweeted " Cody had different goals then the team" WTF is that supposed to mean? A rookie asks for more ice time when hes playing in front of Kesler and Sedin who also started as third liners. The what different goals did cody have then the team, More money and ice time i suppose. This was a great trade i don't care if he was the next coming of Gretzky if he didn't have the same goal as everyone in that locker room. Theres no point of having those selfish people on the team, it would ruin the room and im glad hes gone. Look at Schnieder he payed his dues in junior and had a chance to screw over the canucks twice by going to UFA and also RFA. He played 3 years in the minors and now his second season in the NHl as a backup and now is trying to help them win the cup. He played great and stuck with Canucks for the better of his development and now will likely be more ready to be a starter. Hodgson should of taken advice from Cory and learn that patience will make you better

Some of you guys gotta stop riding the dicks of Grabner, Hodgson, Shirokov like they were the next greats and saying that they were never got a fair chance from AV. Take off you Homer glasses and think if they guys really deserved the time. Hodgson- People saying AV never gave him a fair chance need to take off their Cody fanboy glasses. As a rookie he got 12 mins and 2 unit PP time and was producing but was never going to get past Hank and Kes and plus he wanted out. So i wouldn't want a kid who doesn't have the goal of winning a stanley cup and would rather have icetime good thing hes gone! Grabner- He had 2 preseasons to prove he deserved to be on the team he didn't show up in those games and then got a a callup tp play on the second line and had a hattrick in one game and not much more offense. In the offseason we had a chance to get a defender and you have to give to get and he didn't belong on our team in a 3rd line role. Shirokov- Do i need to explain? He played great in the preseason got his chance, didn't do anything in his three games and was sent down and got a callup the next year scored a goal but not anything more. So before people say we need a coaching change think about this we have a great coach who has led the team to 5 division titles and a presidents trophy and game 7 of the cup finals. If AV was ever fired we would get hired the next day thats how good of a coach he is.

The kid has the skills to be a #1 with his blazing speed, quick accurate wrister, and Insane vision(much like cody) but his size might limit what he would be able to do. If he was 6 feet, no question he would have been a top 5 pick in the 2009 draft, maybe even top 3 over Duchane.

Love his skill and speed reminds me of Loui Ericksson(spelling?) but i believe he will be a great 2nd line winger with ability to move up in the line up
