I don't post too much but I do get my daily CDC fix. It's the place I go to, to get my questions answered, or to get an unbiased understanding of some weird trade. The knowledge floating around in here is awesome. I really don't want to have to deal with HF Boards ( way to much like the wild west in there for me). It's a little more difficult to keep up to date with whats happening in the NHL from Australia but this forum does that completely for me. It would be heartbreaking to not have YOUR collective knowledge at my fingertips. Long live CDC

Hi all, I am currently sunning myself on An Bang beach in Vietnam. Caught a few small waves this morning which was a bonus, the whole time i was out there all i could think about was the line from "Apocalypse Now", "Charlie don't surf" I will do a thorough check on the leader board when I have a few moments and let everyone know where we stand. 4 seems to be the outright leader. I amateur boxed 30 years ago. Im 5'11 but fought at light weight 63kg. Took some effort to cut weight but I did this to get a massive reach advantage. I forsake a bit of power but i figured if I could jab and move id keep a huge gap between me and them throwing a knock out punch. It worked. Height and reach is a huge advantage. My regular weight is a comfortable 74kg. I would argue weight is a dynamic factor in any sport. Bigger taller players are just harder to move. Soccer, football, hockey etc Once the weight is planted it takes more effort to move it.

Getting creative...dropping to 15 and picking up (one of ) 46/47 from Nashville and then dropping to 19 and picking up ( one of ) 44/51/55 from Chicago, that would really be a home run!

Thats like getting a Porsche and a VW mixed up, same manufacturer....totally different performance

RIP Tina Turner. What a fantastic show woman. Absolute superstar who dominated the 80's. She was a very prominent figure in Australia during the 80's as she was the "face of rugby league". Tina was huge in advertising one of our national football codes using the song "Simply the Best". This along with staring alongside Mel Gibson in Mad Max 3 Beyond Thunderdome meant she was everywhere during this time. So pumped to see NHL hockey down here...but really disappointed it isnt the Canucks. We heard news the game was going to happen and I had high hopes our team was going to be playing, alas not to be. I'll just be that random guy wearing a Canucks jersey in the crowd

20 rolls of the dice to get 1st overall. One particular roll saw St Louis move up 10 to 1st AND Ottawa move up 10 to get 2nd in the same draft. Truely a nightmare.

Very embarrassing 4 minutes. Was enjoying the 1st period. Now Im just yelling at the TV screen. Its not fun anymore. Its shades of the first third of the season!!!
