[Signing] Flames sign Brad Richardson

I'm guessing the parking fees $$$$ far outweigh the value of the car. -
[Discussion] Any More signings You Would Like?
canuckpuckluck1 replied to Provost's topic in Canucks Talk
I might be very optimistic but I think the Canucks do very short term deals for Hughes and Petterson somewhere around $12.5M combined, and then just sift through waivers and search for a prospect or two that needs to go down (someone LIKE Lind, not necessarily him but someone that has potential but needs more time). I think the Canucks will be able to get all our waiver eligible players down and if there is any we don't, that really shouldn't be a blow to the team dynamics (at least from what I look at on Capfriendly). -
[Signing] Canucks re-sign Jason Dickinson

I can see Cowtown, the Soilers and the Kraken getting "shafted" by that line!!! -
Having looked at Capfriendly Arizona has 12 UFAs finishing at the end of this season. How many can they flip for a draft pick? Watch LE catch fire and they flip him for a 4th or 5th, They have Kessel who can surely get a 2nd or 3rd. Beagle, Dzingel who should get some sort of picks. On defence Stralman and Lybushkin and then Hutton maybe a late pick. In saying that can you field an AHL line up to end the season? Could be some sort of draft for Arizona ( I hope its a good year for prospects!)

[Signing] Kraken re-sign Vince Dunn

Pause for dramatic effect...... -
I probably don't know the full story but from my point of view I dislike what Eichel is doing, he signed a contract for a sh!t tonne of money 3 years ago and now the team is performing poorly he wants out. It just doesn't sit well with me. After suffering through 5 years of Erriksson mailing it in and collecting the cash im a bit bitter about the way some players want these outrageous paydays but when things don't go their way they want to find a way out. If he didnt take such a huge payday then his contract would be more palatable to other GM's ( same thing happened with LE and Luongo)

Are Buffalo and Arizona even going to try this year? Or is it just straight up tanking for 1st overall from the get go? -
Elias Pettersson | Quinn Hughes - Contract Discussion Thread

So it is only the first year they were given the number 3 pick? My mistake I thought it was for the first 2 years -
Elias Pettersson | Quinn Hughes - Contract Discussion Thread
canuckpuckluck1 replied to Bertuzzipunch's topic in Canucks Talk
Doesn't Seattle get you a guaranteed top 3 pick next year? Could you imagine an offer sheet of $10M for both Hughes and Pettersen? Would you consider 4 firsts from 2 different teams, especially those teams, potential to draft Wright, Bedard and Michkov ( one can only dream of the potential returns for 4 years, although massive losses in Pettersen and Hughes). Not sure I would like to be in the position to make the decisions to match or walk away. -
I can, straight up tell you, if it was my daughter that this imbecile ( Mailloux) had done this to, there is no way Montreal would have drafted him. You don't draft a prospect with two broken legs and busted hands!!!!

I just had a look at the list, there are some intriguing names for sure. Loui Eriksson will be available , might be able to get him at good value for the "little things"

[Report] Jalen Chatfield to hit free agency
canuckpuckluck1 replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I am not disrespecting Chatfield or diminishing his achievements as any games in the NHL is pretty special, but the Canucks really need to focus on difference makers. If a player is not a difference maker on the ice then its time to move on. They cannot throw contracts to place holders anymore, the core is constructed and now its time for difference makers and unfortunately Chatfield is not one of those. Rathbone on the other hand has this up coming season to see if he is a difference maker ( he looked good in the small sample size last year) In saying that, its time to move on from Chatfield -
Would Benning swoop in and take him back?
-
With Lind being a RFA does he qualify to be waived to go down to the minors or is he free to move up and down?

[GDT] 2021 NHL Expansion Draft
canuckpuckluck1 replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in General Hockey Discussion
If it was me I would just do a little slip announcing the Oilers pick and say Connor Mc David -
Maybe there needs to be some sort of rule that a players needs to have played 30 games of the season or 10 of the last 30 games of a season to be eligible for the playoffs. Something like this would have prevented Tampa Bay from making the whole thing a farce. They would have had to address the salary cap implications and might have had to move contracts to comply. The fact that Kucherov was injured the whole season but made a miraculous recovery for the start of the playoffs just doesnt sit well. I wonder if there will be some sort of future penalty recapture forced on TB? And before anyone jumps on me about it being legal....so was the Luongo contract at the time!!!! Am I a little bit salty!!! Hell YES I am.

Would anyone trade the Canucks 9th for Wilds 22nd and 26th? Possible selections, Morrow, Stankhoven, Helenius, Svechkov, Toumaala, Raty,
