I may be wrong, but I think @Apricot is actually a lady. I seem to recall a conversation on a game day thread where she revealed this and a few people were aghast. -

Good luck burying him in Utica...might have to check if New Jersey are OK with that. -
[Report] Jim Benning to return for next season

Im no expert but the way i see things the team is on a build up. Guys in the system like Mac, Highmore, Motte, Lind, Lockwood and Gadjovich will be introduced to the line up over the next two seasons to replace Beagle ($3M) Roussel ($3M), Virtanen ($2.55M), Sutter ($4.375). The past history of paying overs for the bottom six is being addressed, its not an instant fix but the process in well underway. i am not suggesting the players i mentioned above are directly replacing the veterans but they will be working towards that goal, allowing for more dollars available to be spent on the top 6 or defence. I personally am ok with this and am willing to see perseverance by management. I think there is a lot to look forward to, I just dont think I can get onboard with any more contracts for overpaid bottom six players, I feel the team in general is past that stage. We have enough young talent that have taken control and are ready to lead the team to success, Horvat, Pettersson, Boeser , Hughes and Demko are leaders and excel at what they do. Surrounded by other vets which we already have. I feel positive in what Jim is doing and excited about next year -
Why are you SHOUTING at me?

Looks like Miller is all aboard team tank with the slashing penalties and Demko is saying "not on my watch!" -
We use nicknames all the time between my friends/team mates down here in Australia. There has been some very creative stuff which makes us all laugh a lot, it can be as simple as what you wear to your first training session with the new team, ( we had a Austria guy play on our soccer team, he wore a shirt with the word Osmosis across the front so he instantly became "Aussie" he loved it) One friends last name is Ball, so he got balled "Bags" his older brother was "big bags" and his sister was "No Bags". My brother resembles Meatloaf in appearance so he is know as "The Loaf"

He took some time to develop a lot of people were calling it a bad pick, but sometimes defenders take time to become great players. He does most things very well and is a pain in the backside to play against. The Canucks need more of that! Thats why I think OJ just needs more time, I feel we will have a good one in him, just more time required for him to develop ( totally different player compared to Nurse)
