[Request] The Mental Health Piece from Tyler Motte
canuckpuckluck1 replied to Drive-By Body Pierce's topic in Canucks Talk
I am involved in a number of organisations that focus on mental health. As a person who has been clinically diagnosed as suffering from depression it is most important for me to help others and myself combat this disease. I originally used medication but have found I can now function without medication. I use my organisations as mechanisms to manage my condition and help others to do the same. I work with https://walkntalkforlife.com.au/ and am the co ordinator for the group in my local area. We are a local community group who gathers once a month to walk in our local area and listen to our fellow walkers and allow them the opportunity to talk about anything they feel they need to speak about. There is no judgement and we dont try to fix problems, just offer support. I also work for https://whitejacketeffect.com.au/ who are an organisation aimed to assist performance enhancement in the hospitality industry. The hospitality industry is full of individuals who are exposed to very difficult conditions ( long hours, low wages, drug and alcohol abuse and high stress situations) we are working to build better platforms for these people to function and thrive. Lastly I have my website This Life List which I created on the back of an emotional breakdown. You can read about the story https://thislifelist.com/the-story/ this is my main focus to keep myself looking forward and not allowing myself to dwell in my own thoughts. It works well for me. Not everyone is the same and what works for me may not work for others. Anyways thats a little about my story. -

Well if you didnt already love him for the way he plays the game this just lets you understand what an awesome human being he is! -
The OP's moment is my number one greatest Canucks moment, but this was a beauty of a game. Such an emotional night!

Only one or two injuries away from being a basket case of a team yet again!!! -
I have my own webpage dedicated to my Bucket List adventures http://thislifelist.com/ The pandemic has put a dent in my pursuits as of late, but im looking forward to 2021 being more accessible to check off more adventures.

Maybe its just me and I cant let it go, but the league penalising the Canucks for the Luongo contract ( which was legal at the time! ) because its not good for the league but Toronto and now Tampa buying 'dead men" contracts like Gaboriks is ok???? I think it stinks! It just doesnt sit well with me.

New rule for all Canucks fans...no one can leave until the Canucks lift the cup!!!! -
I read the article and in this passage Green is talking about Nate Schmidt "We've seen firsthand (in the Pacific Division) the type of player he is," Green said. "He has a lot of qualities. He can play in all situations. He brings a lot of energy to the group, which I like. When you get into scenarios when the season is hard and can seem long, you need guys with an engine that runs hot. There shouldn't be a bad day in the NHL. We don't want a team with energy-suckers in our group." All I could picture was Now that really is an energy sucker! A bad day you say Travis...how about 4 years worth???

CDC Celebrity Dead Pool 2020 (win prizes)

I have won this the last two years running and im currently on 6. Which I thought would be a winning score but that doesnt even get me on the podium. I suspect there is some seriously underhanded things going on. @Elias Pettersson and @smithers joe Ive just called the FBI, so expect a knock on your door shortly...they have few questions for you both By the way, in 2018 and 2019 editions 6 would have been enough to win. -
[Report] Martin Hanzal announces retirement

I came on to this thread hoping to see some collective disdain for this POS. Thank you for not letting me down. -
If I am taking any contracts from Vegas( Schmidt or Martinez ) they need to attach, Hague and a 1st. The Knights have no leverage. If im taking Fleury you can add Krebs to Hague and the 1st. As a side note There is no way I would be taking William Karlsson and that contract. Edited: Well I got that wrong!!!

Can you imagine how bad it will be if Shea Webber decides to retire early.... Nashville could really paying in the vicinity of 10M in dead cap. Now that would be ugly -
Two excellent players and I feel Quinn was not robbed, either was a worthy winner. What has me stumped is voting. 2020 Calder Trophy voting (1st-2nd-3rd-4th-5th) 1. Cale Makar, COL 1,538 (116-54-0-0-0) 2. Quinn Hughes, VAN 1,337 (53-111-6-0-0) 3. Dominik Kubalik, CHI 554 (0-2-75-48-21) 4. Adam Fox, NYR 430 (1-1-45-52-32) 5. Elvis Merzlikins, CBJ 215 (0-1-17-32-27) 6. Mackenzie Blackwood, NJD 164 (0-1-16-15-32) 7. Victor Olofsson, BUF 96 (0-0-5-14-29) 8. John Marino, PIT 53 (0-0-4-5-18) 9. Nick Suzuki, MTL 17 (0-0-1-2-6) 10. Ethan Bear, EDM 9 (0-0-1-1-1) 11. Denis Gurianov, DAL 4 (0-0-0-1-1) 12. Ilya Samsonov, WSH 2 (0-0-0-0-2) 13. Matt Roy, LAK 1 (0-0-0-0-1) The four votes I have highlighted in red....the people who made those votes should NEVER be allowed to vote again, obviously have no idea about the game. Adam Fox better than both Hughes and Makar ( what were they drunk for the last nine months???) Merzlikins and Blackwood better than either Makar or Hughes???? wow these people are out to lunch. I can understand the votes for Kubalik but the other three just make me wonder whats going on!!!!
