  1. Think you’re confusing Jewish and Swedish there, my friend
  2. Yeah, that article definitely paints him more as an offensive D
  3. A top 10 All-Star C, 100+ pts, who hasn’t hit his ceiling yet A play-driving, power forward, consistent PPG 2C An elite, 40+ goal-scoring winger A top 5, PPG defensemen, entering his prime A top 5 goaltender, who can steal games decent core.
  4. Love how they celebrate each other. RT has them playing for each other
  5. Demmer is allowed to have an off night. The team responded well, Not seeing what you’re seeing with Hronek. He’s been solid if not spectacular.
  6. Boeser padded his stats Petey keeps his streak going big leadership game for Quinn character team comeback back to 8OA great result

  8. Exactly. Some posters are too attached to Bo being a ‘heart and soul’ Captain to accept valid criticism. Even Bo said later that he regretted not doing anything to stick up for Garland. So I guess Bo lives in a fantasy world where teammates stick up for each other?
  9. This recent article by Faber isn’t as positive - questioning his defensive abilities. https://canucksarmy.com/news/inside-filip-johanssons-promising-shl-season-canucks-ca-prospect-rankings-8
  10. That would work as a cost effective option with depth for injuries. I’m intrigued by VGK prospect Kaedan Korczak as a potential partner for Hughes. Seems like he’s ready for the NHL, but buried behind their depth. Would love to acquire him for a winger, and have Schenn/Foote mentor him.
  11. Yep, could come down to promising NHL ice time, which wouldn’t be fair for the ABBY players who have shown so well
  12. Sounds like Swedish Tanev…does everything well, skates, passes, decent point shot Filip Johansson (Defenceman) Team: Frolunda HC (SHL – Sweden) Drafted 24th overall in 2018 (by Minnesota) 6-foot-1 / 176 lbs / Shoots: R The Canucks did well by signing Johansson, a former first-round pick, this past summer as a free agent. I have always appreciated this player. He moves very well and can transport the puck on his own or outlet and join as an extra layer. His offensive production is on the rise this season. He has registered three goals and 10 assists through the first 23 games. What I’m really excited about is the amount of ice time he is being trusted with in the SHL. Johansson is skating over 20:00 per night and being deployed in all situations. Overall, he’s tracking very positively. I envision Johansson pushing for a job on the Canucks roster in 2023-24. https://www.sportsnet.ca/nhl/article/scouts-analysis-progress-report-on-jets-and-canucks-prospects-in-ncaa-and-europe/# SCOUTING REPORT Defends his position very well, both because of an active stick and a fairly projectable frame. Owns a hard shot from the point. Can log big minutes along the blueline, including important ice time in all game situations. Will need to add more bulk and strength in order to maximize his shutdown ability at the highest level. While he is mobile and polished, he is not an elite offensive rearguard (and must play within his own limitations). Long Range Potential:Quality, reliable and all-round defenseman with good upside. https://sportsforecaster.com/nhl/p/27098/Filip_Johansson
  13. Thanks. It’s great to break the story early and all, but it’s been over a day and still nothing. Would love to hear PA chat about their approach to these FA’s, and share why we reversed course on Malinski.
  14. He was scouted this year as a middle pair NHL D in an article by Bukala. Not sure what weight that should carry, but it sounds promising
