  1. That's good perspective, thanks Alf. I guess Chris Tanev is the the best case scenario?
  2. Malinski / Andreev sweepstakes will have to wait til Saturday…
  3. https://canucksarmy.com/news/ncaa-european-free-agents-update-names-hearing-connected-canucks thanks to @SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME For posting this in the Livingstone thread. A couple interesting Swedish defensemen in this list: Fillip Berglund A big and strong two-way defenseman with good hockey sense and passing ability. Valuable on the man advantage with a strong release and good puck control. Not a speedster and should use his large frame to his advantage. (EP 2016) Hardy Häman-Aktell
  4. Looks like some pressure from Denver with 6 unanswered shots, but times running out
  5. @SID.IS.SID.ME.IS.ME welcome any updates on the Cornell game
  6. He meets the requirement for games missed and everything?
  7. Would love to see us land somewhere like: Hughes - Korczak Gavrikov - Hronek Bahl - Livingstone/Malinski That’s a good mix of size and mobility
  8. Tocchet’s comments on LVK defence indicate we’ll be targeting size on the backend “I didn't like our first (period) at all,” Tocchet said. “It's a good test for our team because Vegas, they're one of my favorite teams with their defence. That's where we strive to (be): a big defence that moves the puck.
  9. After the Hronek trade, PA talked about speed being part of our team identity, and especially the defence transitioning the puck to our forwards. He also alluded to Hronek playing with Quinn. This left me wondering if they are really trying to balance the D pairs with shut down partners, or if they’re considering loading up with ‘modern NHL defenders.’ I’d love to have a dedicated shutdown pair with size, but am also intrigued with the idea of a highly skilled D core, that keeps the puck in the offensive zone.
  10. Pretty sure we’re in on both, but there are up to 32 teams interested
  11. Yeah, I think it was @VancouverHabitant who made the point that the media really tried to vilify Miller every chance they could.
  12. There were quite a few posters who advocated for him consistently. @grandmaster, @-DLC-, @Elias Pettersson, @Alflives , @SilentSam come to mind..
