  1. After July 1st ( bonus is paid) To Anaheim: Tyler Myers, 2024 4th (New Jersey) To Vancouver: 2024 2nd (Boston) Anaheim has only 2 defensemen signed for next season, in the midst of a rebuild, with plenty of cap space. The best available UFA RHD under 30 are Dumba, Severson, and Stetcher. They get Myers for $1M for a year, we clear $6M in cap space, and recoup a 2nd for next draft. To Nashville: Brock Boeser ($1.5M retained) To Vancouver: Colton Sissons, Nashville is rebuilding, low scoring, with plenty of cap space, and short on top 6 wingers. They get a younger player that helps address their scoring. We get a 3C locked up for 3 more years under $3M. 6’1, 200 lbs, 29 year old right shot C from North Van, 52.7% face offs. As a vet, Sissons can take matchup duties until Raty or Aman are ready. We also save ~$2.5M cap space. What do you think?
  2. How do you figure we can reach 14th-16th? I can’t see us doing better than 10th.
  3. In another thread someone clarified you can still make trades, but any player acquired after the deadline can’t play in the playoffs
  4. Allvin said he wants our identity to be a fast team, especially getting the puck from D to our forwards. Got me wondering if they’ll consider multiple puck movers vs balanced pairings. For example, play Hughes with Hronek and Rathbone with Malinski (if we sign him). Maybe we go with 4 PMD and 2 more classic shutdown D. Could be a cool differentiator, always having an offensively gifted D on the ice.
  5. Agree with you about Rathbone. Time to use him or lose him.
  6. I’ll say 19 pts. (9 - 8 - 1) finish with 78 pts
  7. We have 59 pts, and 18 games left. Here’s the schedule. How many points do we take?
  8. Barzals injured, and another Center I believe. He’s helping them get into the playoffs, and simultaneously making the 1st we traded for Hronek a higher pick. win/win really
  9. Not sure if it’s a huge thing, but it’s how we got Tanev, and Stetcher
  10. The 3% difference in lottery odds isn’t worth the fuss. We’re nearly guaranteed a lottery pick (top 11), and apparently are working hard on signing college FA’s in the weeks ahead. Also have Hronek’s debut to look forward to. good night CDC!
