  1. I'm certainly not. Love to see Chaisson on the 4th line and Podz promoted. I'd rather like to see Hogs with Petey and Miller, but I'm still happy to see what I see.
  2. He definitely makes the third line better, but I feel like he'd create even more chances in the top 6 and also have more help to capitalize on those chances.
  3. Hoglander should be in the top 6. He's so good at coming out of corners and off the board with the puck. Slide Chaisson down. That is all. Oh, and tonight was not Miller Time. K, now that is all.
  4. Hogs looks amazing and is on the 3rd line. Chaisson on the top line and top pp. Garland is our newest scoring weapon, but see comment above about Chaisson. Miller looks like he can't take or give a pass tonight. Pp is stale. But other than that the team looks good tonight!
  5. Honestly, I think it's still too early to tell. Let's circle back after this year, which is our first "win now" year in Benning’s tenure.
  6. Shows how much we're missing Brock, Motte, Hamonic, and Sutter, eh. Imagine... Miller-Pettersson-Brock Pearson-Horvat-Garland Motte-Dickinson-Höglander Podkolzin-Sutter-MacEwen Hughes-Hamonic OEL-Myers Hunt-Poolman Rathbone-Schenn Demko Halak
  7. I remember when I got reemed out a few years ago from some CDC'ers for expressing my concern with OJ's lackadaisical approach to the game, and how I thought he needed to play with a sense if urgency, like Tanev, and show he deserves a spot on the team. Too bad, because I had high hopes for him, and there's nothing worse than seeing such good talent have such poor drive.
  8. Positive can be a good attribute, but you need mean determination to win a cup, and I don't see that in him. He's a little too much of a jokester to be a winner, similar to Nate Schmidt.
  9. Good effort against their full lineup. I like seeing loads of shots. OK, that reads like something else. You know what I mean.
  10. I mean, we have the potential to ice all of our healthy guys tonight and the last game, no?
  11. Yeah, I'd like to see a full lineup with the last three games to go so that the team can gel and be ready out of the game, considering how important a good start is to opening the season.
  12. It seems to me like Francis chose cap space over asset management. It also seems to me like this is likely an ownership decision, in which case, if true, is a bad sign for Seattle fans. I hope I'm wrong and it's a Francis move and he's going to try and go big next year in FA, because I'd rather Seattle be competitive than struggling to survive as a new franchise.
  13. OEL's intensity is what's missing in OJ's game. +1 for that 4th line. Also, seems like Green isn't terribly pleased with Pods so far. He could hit the AHL to start the season, which wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. I feel like he needs to release his true game out on the ice. Hed way too timid so far. Maybe he's still scared to make a mistake and get benched for full periods Iike in the K. Hopefully he just needs to get his legs going.
  14. It took the Sedins how long to be that good? Petey is a Calder winner and almost a ppg player in the regular and post seasons. Plus, inflation.
  15. He should be paired with whomever the coaches think he should play with. Myers eats a lot of minutes and plays a hard and heavy game for us. He's mean and can clear the crease. He can also play in any role we throw at him. And, lastly, he was on pace for 30+ points last year.
  16. Myers is not a bottom pairing defenceman, and he's worth every penny of his $6M per year. Give your head a shake, man.
  17. Exactly this. And our guys were visibly tired. They started really well but tapered off quickly. It happens. A little rest will do them good.
