If Benning didn't isolate himself from the rest of his staff/team and think he could just call all the shots, as well as fire Green when he needed to and bring in an experienced coach, then he would still be here. But the fact of the matter is that he did both of these things, so it was time to bring in a collaborative executive/management team and experienced coaching staff. He built a great team from scratch, though, and for that I give him huge kudos and will still consider him one of our best GMs in franchise history.

[Rumour] Coyotes gauging market on Jakob Chychrun

He'd be stuck behind Hughes and OEL. We need a top 4 RHD, not $20 million on the left side. -
{Discussion} Is anyone else sick of Thomas Drance?
Jester13 replied to WEVEGOTMOTTE's topic in General Hockey Discussion
I wouldn't use the word 'tired', as it implies that I used to like him at one point. I think I'd go with 'done', as it implies I've never been able to stand him, and now I'm just DOOOOONE with him. -

I think he said: "Whatever your last coach would tell you to do to start the 2nd period, do the opposite. "- 910 replies

I have no doubt that Garland is a gamer. He gets into the dirty areas, even against the biggest opponents. He is the epitome of what we want in a playoff performer. Quinn and Petey are also small, but they've shown they can light it up as well. I do question Brock's skating this year after his latest injury to start the season. He looks like the slowest person out there. It's hard to say this, as I don't want him gone and don't think his teammates would be happy either to see him leave, but I feel he's the most likely one to get traded, if anyone does. With Myers, OEL, Schenn, Poolman, and Hamonic with size on the back end, I don't think it's an issue. What I'd really like to see is a healthy blue line and another Motte-type player to replace Chiasson. Let the rest of the season play out and reasses.

It seems to me like the shots under Green were more out of desperation to get a shot counted or to get a whistle for a faceoff in their zone whereas BB... never mind, you basically just said this, that it seems like the shots now are when our players are in position to shoot, thus resulting in more actual opportunities. Edit: I'm getting posters mixed up. See AJs comment haha

But it's not low risk, that's the point. Bringing in Kane the person into our dressing room is a huge risk for the culture and momentum of the team. You'd have to trade someone like Pearson for him, so now picture getting rid of a teammate that everyone loves for Kane and his trunk load of baggage. This team is finally coming together. It's not worth the risk.
