  1. Devils sign 20 year old forward prospect Ty Voit! The New Jersey Devils have agreed to term with up and coming forward prospect Ty Voit. The young forward who plays either wing has steadily seen his production climb while in the OHL. The 20 year old was second in the OHL in scoring in the 22/23 season amassing 105 points and leading the league in assists with 81. The native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania is slated to join the Atlantic city Devils this upcoming season and start on his development path at the professional level. New Jersey is thrilled to welcome Ty Voit to the organization!
  2. WAIVERS: The Devils have placed forward Jaydon Dureau on Waivers, he will remain in Atlantic city should he not be claimed.
  3. ASSIGNED: The Devils have assigned forward David Krejci to Atlantic city for the remainder of the offseason, as the veteran is leaning towards retirement or playing in Europe the Devils will now be pursuing a replacement at the forward position.
  4. Yeah barely making an extremely deep lineup on the Stanley Cup winner means he could play 3rd and 4th line in Vancouver. He was very dependable in Pittsburgh playing the 3C role and 4C as well. He is the type of player the team needs. They have isolated a weakness and a need for a certain type of player. They added an above average center that will help.
  5. Devils are away until Monday night for a quick camp out. Will attempt to check in and reply to pms as I can. Thanks!
  6. Ian Cole plays top four minutes and eats up PK time effectively. Carson Soucy is a solid # 5. There is a reason these guys are being targeted for certain rolls because thats what they play and will expect. The Canucks need solid reliable defensemen who are smart in their zone and can help with the PK.
  7. @canuck2xtreme The Devils have qualified forward Riley Damiani.
  8. I would not say I feel it is across the board appropriate at all, that is a decision parents can make for/with their children. I meant while someone in drag may be sitting at a library reading to children, its not like they are reading " How to be a drag queen and take over the world with perversions ". Point is there is a lot of misunderstanding around drag even though we as a society have been exposed to it for all of mankind, can't tell me nobody watched M.A.S.H or other shows with men dressing up as women. It would be considered a lot of hard work, entertainment, performance, a form of art and did I say a ton of hard work involved. It can make you feel sexy but it is not sexual, not a perversion people have. Drag can be more risque to adult audiences say in a bar or event for grown ups aimed to entertain, can be innocent enough for children in a library or social setting or event as well. It doesn't all have to mean the same thing to all audiences. Very easy to be age specific. Drag story times were introduced less than ten years ago in San Francisco to promote reading and diversity, the books read to children are children books not scripture or rhetoric if one is concerned. These types of readings has really taken off and again it doesn't have to be for everyone and I think parents can help children along by making decisions on including their children or not. So I don't think this is something being forced or fed to our children, I wouldn't rip someone for not being comfortable with it or not interested either though. Not to derail things here.
  9. Same feeling but thats why the scouts make the big bucks I guess. Seems like we pooched the last couple picks hmm
  10. I don't feel like anything is being thrown in anyone's face. There should be zero issue being around people being themselves. We can respect one another. Nothing is being fed to our children through Pride or Drag Queen storytimes etc. Its just people being themselves. I think the issue that is arising that is continually disregarded is that its fine to express, celebrate, support and live out our lives but its not fine to pigeonhole a person into being involved or wearing the colors or drinking the kool-aid of a cause or event or group only to shred them to pieces call them bigots and the like for them declining to take part. Maybe they are not interested or ready or understanding and maybe one day they will be but villianizing those people doesn't help it only puts up walls.
  11. Knowing nothing of these people's lives except they chose to exercise their right and simply not take part in an event where there is immense media and public pressure to do so they have become " dirtbags ", " not behaving like respectable humans ", and of course are now " bigots ". That is exactly the problem here. This is why people in growing numbers are growing tired of this. It simply is not enough to be respectful or to step aside while people celebrate being inclusive. Unless you are right there along with the group conforming to that expectation then you are a monster. That is pure crap.
  12. RECALLED: The Devils have recalled forward Brandon Saad from the minors and place him onto the active roster.
  13. I don't for a minute feel teams should have abandoned warmup jerseys and I understand the importance of this on people. I don't know personally why it would be a problem to wear the jersey for 15 minutes with your teammates either. The NHL eliminated whatever they felt was an issue by removing the jerseys. Again not something I agree with but as a major business that works with the players union it is extremely obvious why this decision was made. We don't have to like the Staal's, Reimer, Provorov and so on for their decision but my feeling is their choice does not make them a bigot for not complying with what everyone else is doing. That is the challenge it is near impossible to enter debate about it with literally being told your wrong and a bigot. That simply is not how things work. My partner spent years of her life in the westend living in the gay community, friends still live there and we all go to Pride to show our support. But people push so far they start to not realize they are pushing people away and they themselves being intolerant towards debate and discussion. What was once an all inclusive event is now every corporation lining up hundreds of their employees with shirts and whistles to march in the Pride parade showing their support. The police, BLM, various other groups being told they are not welcome or not welcome unless its under their conditions or dressing a certain way. I'm not blaming the left I'm observing things go further and further left to the point its counterproductive to their cause. I wish nothing but good, I am proud to live where people can freely love and be who they are. But you simply can't erase or deny people debate, discussion and differing opinions, beliefs etc....its the opposite of what is being preached nowadays.
  14. Yeah I am not complaining because I don't put that work in and its very much appreciated when its finalized but its kind of lame to see " Trade: Player X to ..... " then you see no actual trade but hearing its coming down the pipe or waiting on confirming other assets etc..... I don't care if Friedman, Weekes or Vintage is first i'd just like to read an actual trade rather than that one is coming or waiting on a movement clause or confirmation from one party etc hahaha
  15. Sorry to hear you missed out on the Draft and extremely pleased to hear you are ok and all is well. That is the important part, the league is always here and that pesky real life stuff always gets in the way. Hope your not too set back by the missed earlier picks and all the best to you buddy!
  16. Buyout: The New Jersey Devils have bought out forward Jeff Carter. The Devils want to thank Jeff for his years of contributions during three different stints with the organization.
  17. Unconditional Waivers The New Jersey Devils place defenseman Kale McCallum on unconditional Waivers for the purpose of a buyout.
  18. 2023 Draft Report! The Devils have been a busy club after earning our third CDCGML Championship. In the weeks since we have moved out twenty million in cap and in doing so brought in 5 draft picks for the 2023 Draft. This year we wanted to focus on bringing in offensive minded and rushing defensemen. All five selections met this criteria for us and we truly believe we have added 5 future NHLers. 2023 Draft selections 1st round, 22nd overall D Etienne Morin - There were some obvious talents in this year's crop, everytime we went through our lists the one name that continued to stare at us was Etienne. Much potential and already showing a well rounded game we felt we had to take the jump and select Etienne at 22. 2nd round, 52nd overall D Aram Minnetian - Not wanting to let a local Jersey boy slip by the Devils felt Aram who has much offensive upside could not be passed over. 2nd round, 54 overall D Theo Lindstein - A very exciting young blueliner oozing with offensive potential with all the tools to produce. Have a feeling taking him at 54 could be later than where he might land on Draft day. 3rd round, 65th overall D Hunter Brzustewicz - Another defenseman we see as a potential producer from the back end for us down the road. Another player we feel was taken later in GML than he likely will go on Draft day. 3rd round, 70th overall D George Fegaras - A highly skilled offensive defenseman that was drafted last year by the Stars and is already showing his promise.
  19. Big thank you to @canuck2xtreme and @Relyt Krets for running a smooth and exciting Draft! Big thanks to those who helped run the show.
  20. The Devils are very excited to select defenseman George Fegaras
  21. The Devils are excited to select defenseman Hunter Brzustewicz
  22. Devils are thrilled to select defenseman Theo Lindstein
