[Signing] Wild sign Jordie Benn
Mike Vanderhoek replied to -Vintage Canuck-'s topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
I'd be happy with Ryan Donato if we were choosing an extra center. Injuries happens ure but I think Dickinson is more than capable of playing 3rd line center after many stints in the top six in Dallas throughout the years when called upon. I think Bozak re-ups in St.Louis. -
[Signing] Flames re-sign Dillon Dube

Exactly. He is not a plug. -
You are not wrong. Ules are rules, GMs are expected to check in and knowing I had an rfa that had some " complexity " or " delay " before signing I myself was regularly checking in thinking he may get offer sheeted. I also work like 20hrs a day and was in remote areas at times..... But to be fair simply tagging the GM in a offersheet signing should be minimal. On a personal note knowing the GMs attachment to the specific player here there is like 99.9% no way he lets the player go....I could be wrong.

If you have not received a reply after your initial pm you can speak to a different agent. But once an agent replies you are locked in.

New Jersey is pleased to bring Arsen Khisamutdinov into the organization. With the pandemic stalling his potential ice time in North America where he is still adjusting on and off the ice we feel this is a case of one team's loss being our gain as we were surprised to see Arsen placed into the market. A player with a seemingly underrated high skill set? But is a San Jose Sharks prospect......not going to lie I have no idea where he could project as but an intriguing player we felt worth adding to our prospect pool. Signing Marc as a New Jersey boy coming back home was a no brainer, while his ceiling isn't a top end defenseman, his skills and style of play we like as someone who could be a 4/5 defenseman in the future who can produce on the powerplay! With thanks to agents @Ty Webb and @arby18_ on reaching deals with these young players. New Jersey is finalizing the details of another defensive prospect where an announcement can be expected at any time, exciting times. And word is there has been contact with a goaltending prospect whom may settle in New Jersey as well. Wrapping up the offseason for the most part the team has a couple NHL bubble types that will be coming in to try and make the team out if camp, you can expect those additions to be announced in the coming days. We remain open to trade scenarios, always looking to improve.

That should be a minimum requirement moving forward.

How unfortunate for that GM.

Canucks requiring covid vaccination for staff and fans
Mike Vanderhoek replied to cuporbust's topic in Canucks Talk
It won't be a legit case because the objective of a " mandate " is not a threat or forcing anyone to do anything under duress. It is a mandate to move society forward and get back to normaly and get the economy back on track. The Government has all along offered guidelines and provided instruction for the general public, unfortunately many cannot accept being told or advised to do something because they are hung up on " my rights ", " my freedoms " " my body, my choice " and so on. Alberta until a new bill gets pushed through is a Province that regardless of charter of rights in Canada can enforce vaccinations on their population or treat them as infected until treatments are done to prove not infected. That is crazy, but they are working on removing that law. The B.C. Government using words like mandate and essential vs non essential services has paved the way for the objective of getting through the pandemic as not something that will be viably challenged in court. Challenged yes but won't go anywhere. The end of the day vaccines are going to push our population past this. 110% respect and understanding for those who cannot or have chosen not to get the vaccines due to health reasons, not much time for those challenging things like vaccines and masks simply because they can or feel they are being infringed on its quite disappointing to say the least, but again we all have a right to challenge and ask questions, for many not accepting how things are in society now however its frankly a lame argument. Did you know all throughout school as a child we had wait for it.....vaccine passports, we require documentation in our everyday lives to many things yet trying to find a system similar in nature to help ensure business and normalcy can ratchet up capacity and return to near normal levels is suddenly a problem. There will be hiccups along the way, there will be challenges in court sure, there will be people causing scenes about this in public but this is the reality of our society for now and until covid is stopped in its tracks. We've been smarter about illness and virus in the past, really don't understand the friction and resistance nowadays its disheartening. -
I am going to have to go with Peter Forsberg, there were more than a few on this list who could completely dominate in their prime. But what Forsberg could do, frankly he had the best combination of power, skill, a never quit motor and was clutch. Others may be higher skilled ( Zetterberg ) or in a position to control a game more so by position think Lidstrom on defense but overall I don't think you can compare anyone on this list to the overall package that was Peter Forsberg.

An awesome signing, has been a bubble player for so many years but Guerin and the Wild management are going to give him every chance to play as a regular in Minny this year, they love him, solid add for the Kings

The Devils are thrilled to bring Felix Robert into the fold here in New Jersey. A young offensively gifted forward who maybe fell under the radar, we are happy to see what he can bring to the club as he moves into the next stage of his career. Very happy to come to terms with Ryan Graves on a new deal, we feel he is poised for a breakout and has the opportunity to establish himself this year. Thrilled to have Ryan back to solidify the back end!

I assume squeak is hiding out at a safe house until the cops lose interest.......

The Devils welcome Markus to the organization. A once highly touted prospect whose seen his development stall over a couple seasons he really took a big step forward last season. He has pushed himself into a callup option this season and a defenseman whom is starting to show some of that promise from back in his draft year.

New Jersey is thrilled to bring Sami in for the next couple of seasons to help our club maintain and improve after last season's early Playoff exit. A valuable signing we believe, a little perplexed by the irl projections of him hoping to earn a depth or bottom of lineup position at between 1 and 1.5m. Interesting to see how that will play out. In Logan New Jersey feels we have added another potential NHL stopper into the fold.

Sorry, is this aimed at NHL general managers or GML ones ?

Pittsburgh is thrilled to add a reliable productive forward to the group in Mats Zuccarello. We see him as a player who will fit in nicely with our younger group and help lead our team into a Playoff birth. We wish Oliver Kylington all the best, there is still potential but we don't see him getting the opportunity he needs to be in a position to succeed in the next season, we felt this was a very acceptable risk to take. -
Thrilled to be able to bring back Jan for three more years. An underrated defenseman he was originally signed into the CDCGML by the Devils years ago. Another piece to our team set for next season!

I may be out of the loop but I just don't understand this......

I will be unplugged tomorrow until Monday afternoon, something about a secluded wilderness resort accessible by boat only so if anyone wants to talk trade or contract im around all night then back Monday eve. Cheers!

The Devils welcome back Tyler Bozak! Acquired last mid season via trade to add Playoff depth, Tyler has proven a valuable contributor to our organization. Taking on a bottom six role wont be anything new for Tyler, he will help our club maintain a scoring threat from the bottom half of the lineup with opportunity to play up the lineup throughout the season.

The Devils are pleased to bring Jon into the organization. He will bring a reliable defensive element needed on the back end in a depth role.

New Jersey Devils sign two forwards! The Devils are pleased to have come to terms with forward Maxim Mamin over a two year deal to join the Devils. He joins a strong contingent of Russian players in the organization already and projects as a forward that should earn a role out of camp on the big club. We look forward to seeing what Camp and next season brings! In signing OdeenTufto, the Devils have brought in to the organization one of their primary targeted players, a quality individual we've had our eyes on for over a year now. Very pleased that the time involved with Odeen, our management group and his representation agent @canuck2xtreme were able to find a resolution for both sides moving forward. Odeen has a very high skillset, has shown to produce at lower levels and will now get an opportunity to show what he can do in Atlantic City and furthermore in New Jersey.

Pittsburgh is thrilled to welcome defenseman Matt Grzelyck to the organization. Signing a fairly significant seven year deal to play on the team's top four defense we feel we've added an offensive element to our lineup in a player that is still on the upswing in terms of production at the NHL level. Matt helps solidify a revamped back end that has also seen the additions of Esa Lindell, Robert Hagg, and Sami Niku over the offseason. The Penguins are also pleased to re-sign Henrik Borgstrom to a two year deal, an offensive forward whom will be given every opportunity at camp to make the squad. Perhaps a minor or under the radar signing in bringing in forward Jaydon Dureau on a three year deal. The young forward continues to put up solid numbers and show his development is coming along faster than his late draft selection would suggest. An offensive forward who will be afforded time to develop in Wilkes-Barre. -
Agreed, he and Smith really adds solid Playoff depth on the blueline
