i think we should trade for centre boo nieves from the rangers...then we'ld have a bo and a boo....
-
i'm not suggesting we pick up kane and his off ice troubles, but on the ice, he is probably, just what we need.......that 2nd line lw, with grit, speed and scoring ability...his life has been sad....

how many canuck fans are there on here that never have a positive thing to say about the team?
-

so many differing opinions..we need someone to identify those opinions and put them into a survey..we would learn, how many, want a scorched policy; being competitive in the rebuild or any other opinion on how to build a successful hockey team...i don't know how to put one of those together...maybe someone can do that.

i wonder if the canucks ever make a trade with minny, if they can get gudbranson's little brother added to the deal...?
-
how about a trade with buffalo for marcus foligno? lw...gritty..

how come benning hasn't come out and tell us who he's signing...keeping us in the dark...
-
benning is well on his way to stabilizing our defense....still need some scoring wingers...boeser and virtanen...and a center to take over 1st line duties.....it will take time...as linden says, they have several area's to fix...

I can't see Horvat being a 1C, maybe as a journeyman 1C, but not as a true "number 1 Center." I hope he proves me wrong because Bo is by far my favorite Canuck.
It's hard to say where the Canucks will finish next year, but if it is near the bottom of the pile then maybe that's something they should seriously consider. I don't want to say Nolan Patrick, because obtaining the first overall pick is very unlikely, but there's lot of talent up the middle like Maxime Comtois, Kailer Yamamoto, Gabriel Valardi, at this moment in time anyways they look good.

i think, montreal will grab the 4th pick and take dubois....dirty baskets.
-
i hope we keep #5 and take tkachuk or dubois but still, if the right offer comes along....?

I want Kevin Shattenkirk though or a D like him. God this team is gonna be boring to watch unless they try to make some signings and trades and draft some guys with offensive potential this year. Please enough power forwards grinders or 2 way guys. Let's add some guys with some offensive skills and skating who are not afraid to play physical and battle in the corners or in front of the net.
-
ok, montreal want dubois, they have 2 2nd round picks...so how about a swap of 1st picks and a 2nd and mccarron..coming our way?....

@MJDDawg sounds good in theory but Benning seems more of a straight shooter prairie guy while Gillis had the background as a lawyer so he had no problem flat out lying.
-
from what i've read, the next few years will be interesting to see which one of this year's 4 to 12 draftees will turn out the best...
-
-
we don't know...it sounds like he is still open to trading down....if a deal gives him a player that can be a top 2 lines player and switch picks...he said he is listening to all offers and there has been mention of players not mentioned before.....whatever that means...
i have a funny feeling columbus might change their draft pick...they want a centre...if with the canucks, the 2nd round pick they owe us could be ours this year us sweetening the pot...seems like no ones talking about pujijarvi lately....less than a week now.

in the hockey news draft book, dubois is likened to jerome iginla. at least his style..they don't give a comparison for tkachuk, but i would think, he has some of his father's attributes ...

i hear the lions play tonight, but i can't find it showing up on my tv guide...anyone know?

@ShakyWalton Buono has a well known policy you can't be split return duties and play rb he feels it's one or the other all or nothing. He wants Rainey and Canadian Shaq doing all the return game stuff and 1 American handling every down rb duties in this case it looks like Allen from SSK will be cut And Johnson from OTT will be the #1 to start next week. Coleman probably gets stashed on injured list or practice squad.

i wonder how interested benning might be in moving to #3?
-
canucks and columbus could help each other at the draft...with several moving parts..

Stamkos, you're right. Add the 5th in my "take" of the proposal.
Smithers joe, I would add Burrows, but the Blue Jackets are looking for cap relief so I wasn't sure they'd want Burrows nor would Burrows waive to go to a team coached by Torts. (I suspect he wouldn't, considering Torts wanted Burrows to be bought out when he was here). However, a Burrows for Hartnell move is pretty lateral in terms of cap and gets the Blue Jackets off the hook in terms of cap space after this year. (And in fact, they'd be paying less then what the cap hit for Burrows is because his actual salary is quite small). My gut says that if we do a deal with CBJ that Burrows won't be moved, though, and that Higgins will likely be the "contract dump" guy.
I could see Burrows being moved to a team needing to reach the salary cap floor or who have an internal budget. Anahiem seems to the land of misfit Canucks toys and I could see Burrows fitting in nicely there or potentially Ottawa (who are another internal cap team) as Burrows would likely be a good fit on Ottawa's third or fourth line.
Needless to say, I see Burrows being moved. I just don't see him going to Columbus.
