    3rd line is way too soft. i like a player like crouse on petey's line. i'ld move joshua up to 3rd line with frederic and one of podkolzin, hoglander or beauvillier. move studnika to 4th line with dries and aman. otherwise, not bad.

    according to the hockey news draft preview, most likely available at pick 11 are; sale,cristall,leonard, asp, barlow and wood. and if we go with 19th pick, they have heidt, perreault, gulyayev,danielson, simashev and willander. how do we rank them, cdc scouts?

    that is what toc wants but he went away from it last year. i don't know what he saw, that he didn't like. i really like joshua toc also played burroughs with huggy too but he wants a more talented burroughs with him.

    kuzmenko, pettersson line needs some grit on it, someone who can step up if k and p are getting manhandled. pods might fit in with miller, mikheyev line a play driving 3c with players we got. a tough stay at home rd for huggy, and another for hronek. we got lots of 3rd pairing d men. too many. 4 new players over 2 years.

    allvin told his scouts to assess players on how they will be at the pinacle of their careers? is that even possible? can anyone here judge that?

    i believe that canucks and blackhawks will exchange picks 11 and 19. will the canucks use those picks or trade them along with some bloated contracts to begin the retool?

    i would like to see at least 2 big contracts gone. these moves will hurt in the short term.

      The problem I think now Pavel is that we spent draft capital up when EP and Hughes were younger, instead of saving those assets to either put those ELC to use on our team now or use as leverage to build around our core at this stage, and now we are handcuffed to surround them with much better players,

      They are at the age we have to contend (we may have missed the window with our core, with affording them , or them wanting to stay) They have some tough decisions, either stick with the core and hope for lightening in a bottle with good hockey trades and chemistry or sell core to get very good returns and try to build properly?

      Doubtful that being at the bottom for almost a decade, that the owner, management, fans have a stomach for that though

      To BEGIN the retool? Nothing could be bleaker than rebuilding a failed rebuild. But let's keep giving average players 5-6 million a year.

      aquillinni wants retool. he is banking that rutherford can deliver. it is easy for us to say what should happen but the owner wants a playoff team.

    i'm so mixed up with all the mock drafts and projections that i have no idea who the bpa at 11 is. from what i've read it looks like ASP, moore and simashev, might be available. who can you believe?

    i'm not advocating it, i'm just saying that canucks could go that direction. they talk about a quick turn around.

    there is another direction they could go. trade boeser to chicago for switch of 1st bround picks and a second rounder, then trade that pick and the second for a player closer to their prime, at the position they need help in. owners are looking for a win now team.

    imo, if we pay myers 5mil bonus, i'ld be happy to put him on wavers or trade him for futures.

    may JR and PA make whatever moves that take us closer to being a cup contender. get us the right mix.
