  1. Those look like kids jerseys next to the Burleson one. What's up with that? Galloway played for both teams so maybe it's an apt choice. Although he held out for half a season before he was traded so he might not be a fond memory amongst Hawks fans. They did draft Alexander with the first rounder they got so I guess all may be forgiven. I'd rock the Lynch or the Burleson jerseys myself but you really can't lose, except for the Flynn one, that's a loser. Super jelly man, that is the trip of a lifetime.
  2. They were also 1st in passing defense so it's not just the sacks that matter. They often only rush 4 but still manage to get the QB moving so they have to throw on the move or off balance. That is the key to their entire defense. The Pats ability to maintain the pocket will be the x factor imo. BB always manages to find a steller O line no matter what he is dealt so it will be no easy task for the Hawks D.
  3. The Pro Bowl is in Phoenix this year so they don't even get that.
  4. While I agree that Wilson's hasn't had nearly long enough of a career to consider him for the hall of fame, to say he hasn't had to carry his team like some of the all time greats is a statement that is as often used as it is inaccurate. Take Brady for example, if you compare stats over their first 3 years you will see they are very comparable and Wilson tops Tom in a number of categories. What all SB winning QB's have in common is they have all had great teams to help them get there but this fact is often unfairly used to detract from Wilson's successes while many others get a free pass. It's too early to tell exactly what his legacy will be but if you look at the history of a lot of the "all time greats" you will see that he is right on track to become one of them.
  5. He was tied for 16th but your point is still moot. He also did this with only 118 attempts so there's that too.
  6. Lynch has one more year on his contract.
  7. I concur with your thoughts on NPF, even though I bust his chops from time to time, but most of the Pats fans are pretty good here most of the time. I think the childishness and frequency of one poster here in particular has given them a bad rap. Even some his fellow Pats fans have called him out on his BS. He's got a little growing up to do but I think with a little encouragement from all of us some day he will make that happen. It takes a village....
  8. With the loss of Miller to injury this year Hawks have given a number of TE's a shot this year including Helfet and Moeaki and there have been stretches of success, failure, and injury throughout for all. Willson has only emerged as the teams #1 TE over the last handful of games. Even then, there were a couple of stinkers mixed in there as well. Edit: he has had trouble catching balls in traffic and holding on to the ball after contact for quite some time. He had a few drops today to boot. By no means is he the calibre of security blanket they lost in Miller this season but he looks to be on the move for sure.
  9. Never happens anywhere else? Sounds like trolling to me.
  10. U must be kidding. I see a number of games every year where the visiting team plays in front of an empty stadium near the end of the game. Did you see the Hawks beat the 9ers in Santa Clara this year? There were more Hawks fans in the fourth quarter than 9ers fans. Quit trolling.
  11. Magician likes his turd with a little crow.
  12. Don't flatter yourself. Anywhere there is blind Seahawk hate I will be there. You keep spouting, i'll keep responding.
  13. I think you nailed it on the head with the stumbling thing. As he was in the process of going to the ground, the ground comes into play no matter how long it took. The reach was the only thing that could be considered a football play but the fact that it came simultaneously with going to the ground, the ground was still in play. Tough call and either way it would have been the story of the day and rightfully so. Stupid rule.
  14. I can't even post emoticons so I won't be able to help you with that one. Perhaps I should have chosen a better word than nfl'ers as the ones I saw were mostly pundits and former players. I was looking on nfl.com, si, espn and such and I saw a bunch. Maybe not as many that disagreed with the ruling but I digress. Dungy, Schefter and Neon Deon were some that I saw. I think as per the rule it was the right call but I personally think he had enough possession to consider it a catch. The rule needs a change. I'm sure we'll see something this offseason.
  15. There is also a ton of tweets from nfl'ers saying the call was correct given the rule so it doesn't exactly prove your point. Although many state they don't like the rule.
  16. Didn't you post the scores for this weekend a couple of pages ago? Aren't you also the guy who bets on the nfl weekly? Last time I checked that was prognosticating. Or are you saying because you weigh the odds you are somehow different from everyone else? Some of those Hawks posters you mentioned also stated why they thought they would win, so there's that. It is fun watching you dance around your Seahawk hatred though. Your recent attempts to seem impartial are much appreciated.
  17. As the prognosticator of all prognosticators you must have threw up a little in your mouth when you wrote this. BTW, did you take Carolina to keep it within 10 points? I can't post emoticons as I am mobile and don't know how but imagine one of them big ol pouty smileyface ones right here.
  18. What's really got to kill Dez is if he didn't try to reach for the touchdown he would have most likely not lost control of the ball.
  19. The last 3 games have been in Carolina with the early start. The Clink is a different animal altogether. That being said, with Seattle coming off the bye there may be a little rust to shake off.
  20. I think it should be a given since so many of these calls/non-calls have such a huge impact on the game. Hopefully they don't use the CFL as a measuring stick of it's viability. They couldn't seem to get the calls right either way last season.
  21. You seem like an okay dude as well (I hope you're a dude) but you need to quit with the homo stuff.
  22. Wtf? I think I knew that. Sorry Tony.
  23. I don't know, I thought the Cowboys had some bad calls/non calls go against them in the first half so I was not too worked up over the non call on the pi. It was obviously a more important time in the game so I get all the outrage. That being said the cowboys fans are going to be insufferable on nfl.com this week so I was kind of hoping for a Lions win. Congrats Tony Romo (cdc version), you seem like a good guy so enjoy the win and good luck against the pack next week.
  24. Man does Arizona's punter suck. Seriously, people can throw a shot put almost as far as some of those kicks. It's a good thing Newton is off his game or this would be a blowout
  25. There are a lot of people on there arguing Romo should be a lot higher or even first. Probably cowboys fans but I digress. There are also a lot of people on there saying given they had one of the weakest strengths of schedule he is exactly where he should be. Saw this on Seahawks.net the other day and it has the Cowboys at 28th in this regard. What do you guys think? http://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/ranking/schedule-strength-by-other 1 Oakland (3-13) 1.6 1 31 4 2 Seattle (12-4) 1.3 1 29 2 3 Arizona (11-5) 1.3 1 23 5 4 Denver (12-4) 1.1 1 31 1 5 San Francisco (8-8) 1.1 2 19 3 6 St Louis (6-10) 1.0 1 32 10 7 San Diego (9-7) 0.9 1 32 8 8 Kansas City (9-7) 0.8 1 28 6 9 New England (12-4) 0.7 3 29 7 10 Buffalo (9-7) 0.5 4 29 18 11 Chicago (5-11) 0.4 1 30 12 12 Philadelphia (10-6) 0.3 12 32 14 13 Green Bay (12-4) 0.2 1 16 11 14 Cincinnati (10-5-1) 0.2 4 28 19 15 NY Jets (4-12) 0.2 9 32 17 16 Carolina (7-8-1) 0.1 6 28 16 17 Miami (8-8) -0.0 6 31 9 18 Atlanta (6-10) -0.2 3 28 15 19 NY Giants (6-10) -0.2 1 24 21 20 New Orleans (7-9) -0.3 4 28 22 21 Detroit (11-5) -0.3 9 30 28 22 Indianapolis (11-5) -0.4 1 27 20 23 Minnesota (7-9) -0.4 4 30 13 24 Washington (4-12) -0.4 6 30 25 25 Tampa Bay (2-14) -0.5 15 29 23 26 Jacksonville (3-13) -0.7 3 32 27 27 Baltimore (10-6) -0.8 9 27 24 28 Dallas (12-4) -0.8 4 31 26 29 Cleveland (7-9) -1.0 10 32 32 30 Pittsburgh (11-5) -1.1 9 32 29 31 Tennessee (2-14) -1.3 1 31 31 32 Houston (9-7) -1.8 15 32 30 Should this be a factor in determing their placement. Romo has played lights out this season but considering who he has faced perhaps it can partially account for his success.
