The Everything Bitcoin Thread

I think it is because the exchanges are more convenient and give real time portfolio balances rather than hardware or digital wallets. With the hardware/digital wallets there is also the risk of forgetting ones password or key and losing everything like we seen happen many times including myself with Ripple. I prefer using all three options and splitting up my coins based on how much I have invested/risk. -
Seeing him use that napkin and eat pizza like that is hilarious.. rotten old man. He is lucky that his fame saved the day or else he would be rotting in prison right now.

Similar experience.. elementary school teacher thought it was a good idea to allow 10 year old kids hang over a cliff during camp.. Could have easily fallen down. -
As mentioned in my above post I am actually Indian like from India .. or as the government classifies as Indo-canadian.. I was just saying the since you don't like the term "native" it is similar to when the term "Indian' is incorrectly used to describe first peoples. I have heard many first people refer to themselves as"native" even wearing native pride clothing so I don't think everybody has a problem with it. I guess it is a matter of prospective.

It is the same as using the term "Indian" to describe first people which I find insulting because they have no connection to India and as an actual Indian it can be rather confusing/frustrating.. As an Indian we have been forced to adopt Indo-Canadian instead.. which is just at incorrect as the other. I see no issue with the term "native" as first peoples were that before Europeans/others came.. and still are.

Canadian Cops, a thread for policing in Canada
drummer4now replied to Gurn's topic in Off-Topic General
I think you’re a tad bit bias but I will take your word for it. I have a relative who is in the RCMP and he has certainly told some interesting stories. IMO the reason the FBI are glorified is because they have actually thwarted many prolific crimes unlike the RCMP who IMO are hit or miss at times partially due to lack of funds or resources. But no one can argue that the RCMP or affiliates are more friendlier than our US counterparts. -

I believe the difference between the FBI and RCMP is that the FBI is more independent and a separate federal entity in the US, whereas the RCMP is closely tied to various police forces provincially, municipally, and federally in Canada. IMO we need a FBI type of institution to complement CSIS and the RCMP. -

Most people don't realize to be successful in crypto you need to control your FOMO and only invest in legitimate coins/hold long term.. Sell when there is a bull rush and buy when low. Time after time we see people losing their money because they made the poor choice and invest in crap coins that are essentially money making scams for the founders. -
Man people in BC are whimps in heat and cold weather.. lol Imagine living full time in places were it is constantly cold or hot.

I was just going to say Cash has way more blood than crypto.... but crypto is slowly becoming like cash with its inequalities and potential uses for crime. -
Very impressed with this comment! You're right that unless the average Joe is at the level of these folks it should not be of concern to them... unless of course they are like a Facebook investor or something or have some sort of connection to Pink Floyd. I became rather annoyed when the dumb receptionist instead of doing her job was playing Reese Witherspoons audio book.. like as if it is going to help her in someway.

I was speaking in terms of the power structure amongst the ruling elite and what not.. Not what goes in the muggle world lol.. 50 years ago you didn't have many female presidents or pm etc... look at leaders in Europe It may still be a mans world, but things have certainly been watered down with the rhetoric and hormones. Look at testosterone driven societies like in the Middle East where it is mostly male dominated behaviour as strike contrast to a mixture in the West. Remember the West before was as barbaric as the East...

Up until the end of WW2 people were seen as nothing but cannon fodder for the elite or rulers.. It wasn't until the atrocities of WW2 that people started to finally realize how barbaric they were. Another reason was most western societies were purely testosterone driven. The places that are still testosterone driven you can see the strike differences between them and the modern West i.e. Middle East, Asia, etc..
