  1. IMO the way Russia annexed those regions was not in tune with international law but they do have legitimate interests and reasons to want those regions because of the Russian speaking populace/majority. These areas have traditionally self identified as Russian. However the USA and allies have no legitimacy in Afghanistan or any central or middle eastern country..
  2. Enough with your air strikes you know how many innocent people die because of those.. This isn’t Syria or Iraq where you can bomb to oblivion.. It is basically over now and Sharia law will take over… So much for 90 to 30 days..
  3. Kabul is a large metropolitan city even 1 airstrike would be devastating.. Why this tactic worked in Syria is because a lot of fighting took place in the desert and small cities and towns... I think you're right on this one. Only bad thing is it will be a blood bath in Kabul.
  4. Hmm interesting... Thats not what you said when we were debating about abortion you said I need at least a health degree or Biochem... for you to value my opinion. For this thread I laid down the cards and told about my credentials. I am genuinely surprised you believe in this conspiracy about oil war and Afghanistan when I could provide you pages upon pages of peer review journals proving otherwise. Do you actually believe Joe Biden and the US government is lying to the public about their reasoning behind the war?
  5. Yes but Afghanistan is not known for Oil.. they just find some deposits in 2010... It is mostly known for Opium, Minerals, and Natural gas. I have studied this conflict in school and the evidence points to the legitimate reason of fighting war on terror. I don't want to be rude but do I take your father in laws statement or Joe Biden? Now of course Biden is going to be try to save his ass, but I believe him from what Alf posted that the end goal was war on terror. Unfortunately you can't defeat an ideology like radical Islam without blowing the place to pieces.. Interesting fact one Canadian general said the Taliban will become the Tali once they take power as they will begin fighting amongst themselves if they secure Kabul. There is just a temporary truce to secure power. I am starting to think they all have.. Certainly not what the various prophets or founders preached about.
  6. Yes I do and I know others view the same... Don't forget that the US was not the only country/force in the region but NATO and including Canada. You think they were all interested in that lucrative Afghan Oil or opium? This was simply a mission to remove the Taliban and fight terrorism; put in a more western friendly government that would be happy to give away all its resources to the west. The taking of resources was simply the spoils of war. They tried the peace talks route because both sides were at a stalemate and there was hope maybe a resolution could be established, but since the Taliban don't play by western standards it turned out to just be a waste of time. People say the USA and allies lost in the Afghanistan but if you think about they were winning up to a certain point when they got rid of Osama, weakened Al Qaeda , and removed the Taliban from power. And to your last point; many major powers throughout history have left behind stock piles of arms when they retreat whether it be the Soviet Union or the USA. It is just too costly and time consuming to try and take everything back. For me to have a different view point especially from you I need to see at least a political science degree or history... One of which I have.
  7. This is finally that rare occasion you're wrong on all accounts... First off the opium and oil are just the spoils of war or think of it as profit.. The point of the invasion of Afghanistan was to get rid of the Taliban and Al Qaeda/kill Osama Bin Laden... Anything else is pure conspiracy and lunacy at best. ISIS mostly got their start in Syria and Iraq so nowhere close to Afghanistan... Iranian back insurgents would not be common in Afghanistan as the Taliban and the Iranian regime have traditonally been enemies. Hell Iran even backed the Northern Alliance for a time being. Afghanistan is not known for producing oil rather natural gas and minerals. The opium has been traditionally used by the Taliban to fund their campaigns. Comparing this conflict to Iraq, Syria, or anything else is entirely foolish.
  8. Don’t forget that also have “Allah” backing them up.. as if he would support anything they’re doing…
  9. Calling them terrorists is so early 2000’s more like violent opposition.. The problem with the Taliban and government is they’re both corrupt and not serving of their peoples but only themselves… one is medieval and other is weak puppet of the west. The fact people don’t trust either and would rather flee says something about current state of affairs there. The place needs another revolution or something too bad the world doesn’t care enough and Average afghani suffers especially the women and children.
  10. Hmm interesting.. Yes I don't smoke, nor do I drink. Not really garden to plate vegan but I try my best with less local meat. Cut the fast food/processed out awhile ago too.. My original point was I don't want to put something in my body if it is deemed unnecessary, it is bad enough I had to get two lol.
  11. So I got my second dose.. and the nurse administrating the shot was talking about the booster shot and I was just rolling my eyes the whole time. Yes lady lets put more chemicals in our body.. Sorry two is more than enough.
  12. There is also the issue of people making or acquiring fake passports and there being no international standard for such. I am actually surprised the UN, five eyes or WHO haven’t come up with a solution yet. I rather have the current system in place proof of vaccination/ negative PCR test.
  13. Well to answer your question… 1 person died of the astra vaccine in Ontario from the blood clots and a women became crippled in the USA. That is all I am aware… But seriously how does one even know if someone died from the vaccine or not? Aside from dying from the known side effect of blood clots with astra: how would the coroner know/not if someone died from say a heart attack or something due to the vaccine? Anyway second dose on Tuesday… And that is the final dose no third or fourth shot because big pharma and the gov and suck it..
  14. Essentially sums up the upvote brigade on these forums.. where if you go even against the grain or established narrative you're deemed a nut job or stupid.. To make themselves feel superior they upvotes each others posts to quail rebellion. To think -DLC- was lecturing us that Canucks policy states vaccines and mask mandates and we should all adhere to that like as if we work for the Canucks on these forums...
  15. Yes have you seen what Ontario and Alberta are doing? BC, Alberta, Ontario are essentially closely related.
  16. Are you talking about the BC services app? It is pretty good. I wish they made our licenses digital.
  17. My best bet is let us not jump to conclusions when there is no such thing There is issues of how vaccine passports will be accepted internationally as there is no national or international standard… As a person who had the vaccine I don’t want this to come as people have become too gullible letting the government strip away their freedoms. I just annoyed some courier lady at the post office delivering mail because I wasn’t wearing a mask with some others as well. She had the nerve to ask the post office lady what the mask policy is only to be told there is no mask mandate in BC…
  18. Must be the forest fires.. the smoke must getting to their minds.
  19. People are already shopping visiting venues etc.. without a mask and proof of vaccine.. So I don't understand how a sudden change in policy will help. IMO should of been implemented early; allittle too late. All this does is split society up in the have and have nots and we don't want a two tier society...
  20. In your Alf dreams... I predict BC will follow suite with Alberta and Ontario and say no all together or hold off.. Vaccine passports for international travel YES Vaccine passports for domestic NO... Business are already desperate for customers and workers I don't see them doing this if they're cash striped. For example, I received like 5 emails from a gym I signed up for 10 years ago practically begging me to come back. Businesses are struggling.
  21. Private sector has the right to make their own decision but most likely it will come down to what the government says.. As of right there now are no plans for such an arrangement. At least in BC, Alberta, and Ontario. Except the vaccine is voluntary so this would never work… I don’t understand why people can’t grasp the idea of it being voluntary… That means theoretically there is no consequences or guilt for not getting one. I.e it is optional. Thankfully most of the people in charge know this and know about the ethics surrounding limiting peoples freedoms…
  22. Meh it is just a poll and like anything else overblown… the politicians have said no for now so why should I care what people want? I will be waiting for action from the federal and provincial governments in the coming months.. after an federal election we will know for certain. Vaccine passports for international travellers fine but not for domestic.
  23. Alf you know better than anyone to post something without a source...
  24. Please don’t jump the gun and think because I support some elements of the anti vaccine cause that I haven’t received at least one dose because I have. Anyway we will see how the governments will handle this…
