  1. You could even make the arguement that Dickinson is a pretty big downgrade from Gaudette
  2. Dickinson has been absolutely worthless, we might have even been better with Jay Beagle. Say what you want but he did his job as best he could, 4th line center, decent in the PK and very good in faceoffs. Dickinson is not a 2 way player, hes a zero way player, he sucks at both ends of the ice. Seriously, 37% FO for a guy brought in here to help the PK which is league worst by a country mile. And to think, hes here for TWO MORE YEARS
  3. I agree. Miller being on that left side makes the PP very predictable. We all know he's gonna do that stupid back pass to Hughes when JT has a wide open shot. The team can't just keep going back to the routine of setting up EP40 or Hughes for the shot. Teams know what we are doing and the coaching staff and the players aren't adapting.
  4. He's basically EVERYTHING we were hoping out of Jake Virtanen. Take away the goal and Podz still had a good game.
  5. Chiasson is garbage, they need to take his sorry a$$ off the PP. He's terrible 5 on 5, he's basically in the lineup to be a backboard on the PP which is a waste. I'd rather see Hogs or Podz in there. Hell, even Bailey, anybody but Chiasson
  6. What did you think? Rathbone was going to be top 4 when he cracked the lineup? LOL Rathbone didn't deserve more minutes, he's been consistently our worst Dman since the season started. He deserved to be here no doubt based on preseason but he didn't look as good when the competition stepped up.
  7. Absolutely right. Fans and coaches fell in love with the upside but completely forgot that Juolevi for the most part, had a pretty good season. It wasn't electrifying or anything, highlight reel worthy but at least we saw in a much larger sample size, he can play in the NHL. Even if you compared this seasons games of Rathbones and to Olli's last season, Olli was a far better player. Juolevi should've been given a longer leash during the preseason, seemed to me that Travis Green already predetermined that Juolevi was the odd guy out. Better hope Juolevi doesn't work out with Florida because if he even becomes just an everyday player, we lose that trade. Rathbone did look good in the preseason and was well deserving of a spot, but there is no way, no how that Brad Hunt should've been kept over Juolevi.
  8. I'll admit I judged Harmonic too early. Full disclosure, Im very very pro vaccine and I don't think very highly nor do i care for people thats in the ivermectin, Tucker Carlson, conspiracy type of crowd but judging Harmonic's presser, sounds like its way beyond of just being vaccinated or the reluctancy to having to go through the process. He sounded pretty emotional about it, so whatever thats happening must be a very serious family matter. It doesn't sound like a guy thats a full on anti vaxxer.
  9. The TB12 stuff hes been doing really helps. Ive seen interviews of defensive players hitting Brady and they even said it feels different hitting him. Almost as if hes made out of elastic. I don't think hes going to last till 50 but 2 more seasons MAYBE. As long as he's surrounded with talent, he can still be good. Mannings last season, his arm was absolutely dead and was still able to beat teams with just sheer knowledge of the game. Doesn't hurt he had a great defence too
  10. I agree, next to Demko, Garland was terrific tonight. Every shift hes trying to get a scoring chance or at least get something going. He is just begging to get top end ice time the way hes playing
  11. Yeah the team played very well tonight. Give Koskinen credit, he made a lot of big saves tonight. The effort was defintely there, I just hope they can keep it going next game
  12. Same, Bailey is a MASSIVE upgrade over McEwen. Very very good on the PK, his speed really making a difference. I think there might be something there offensively still but I know for a fact, the way hes playing, hes not going back to Abbotsford anytime soon. Even 5 on 5 he's playing well too
  13. I hate her too. I don't think anybody would care if that witch croaked tomorrow
  14. Yeah the way he is playing, I don't think the Q is going to be an option. He just might get a few games in with the big club, my guess is maybe 5 but who knows, maybe injuries come up
  15. If Bailey plays like he did against the Wild, I don't think hes going to be coming out of the lineup. His speed is very noticeable out there, def looked good in the PK.
  16. Remember Frankie Corrado? he was a fairly decent dman when he was here, starting to get his feet wet, couldve kept him in the team instead we let him for nothing (i forgot the reason why but i know a lot of the fans were pissed) kind of gave it a pass to Jim being a new GM and not knowing much about asset management. Didn't realize that was going to be the start of a regular occurence in this regime of letting young players go for nothing. We could've easily kept one of Lind or Gadj had we not signed Tanner Pearson in the spring, was that really that necessary to sign him so soon? Couldnt we have signed Tanner a day after the expansion draft, for the sake of at least keeping one of those guys? For all the good prospects Jim has gotten us, hes made a lot of moves that just make you scratch your head
  17. He and Dahlen might have a point. Look at the guys not in the organization anymore, Juolevi, Dahlen, Lind, Gadjovich, Palmu is in Europe, so is Jasek. Seems like the team is getting prospects straight from the college or European leagues but not getting fed from the farm. There must be wrong with the AHL development, look at our young players now. None of them, with the exception of Demko, and to a very lesser extent, Rathbone, came from the farm
  18. Theres not much options beyond Rathbone, but I think people should temper their expectations on Jack. A lot of over zealous CDCers were expecting this dynamic D-man that can push the pace but clearly thats not the case. Yes he can keep up with the skaters in the regular season but I see a lot of undecisiveness, his puck management skills aren't exactly great, its going to take some time. Makes you wonder maybe would Juolevi been better paired with Burroughs. He'll get better but I just hope this doesn't stunt his development. If we were to rank the D-men best to worst, out of the 6, Rathbone would arguably be the worst one out of the bunch
  19. Yup he did absolutely NOTHING tonight, he belongs in the pressbox
  20. To hell with Chiasson, that guy is worthless. He offers up absolutely squat 5 on 5 and Bo clearly is the better option as the net front on the PP so Chiasson usefulness is gone right there. They need Pods in the lineup to at least give the team options and he's done well enough that he can make plays out there. I agree though with Pettersson, Hoglander does need a shot up in the lineup. Petey was gawd awful tonight, he was probably our worst forward tonight next to Chiasson
  21. OEL has been a big suprise, just a massive upgrade over Edler. Whats impressive is how efficient he is. He's not a great skater like Hughes, but you can see he KNOWS where to go with the puck getting it out of the zone, and when he gets caught, he seems to recover more often than not than Edler. Edler the last few seasons, when its a turnover, he struggles to recover. Even in the offensive zone, OEL just knows how to find a clean lane to put the puck on net with little effort and is very decisive
  22. I think Linus Karlsson will end up in NA next season. Can't really do much about Dahlen, he didn't want to be here. Had we not traded him, he probably wouldve stayed in Europe
  23. The bar for most cdc-ers unfortunately is quite low. Petey is "elite" but hes never cracked 90-100 pts. Brock is an "elite" goal scorer and yet, hes never come close to 40 goals which imo is the bare minimum for great, let alone elite. They are really good players but i consider elite no hesitation, top 5. Lets be generous even and say top 10 unfortunately none of are players are except maybe Hughes
  24. Yup, i remember listening to the draft, everybody got caught off guard with Dubois going #3, and when the oilers picked puuljarvi, i was excited that for SURE we were landing Matt Tkatchuk. When they announced "canucks pick from the London Knights, Olli Juolevi" man was I pissed. Tkatchuk was pretty consistent the 3rd best player in the class pretty much all year, some even had him at #2 and we passed him up
