  1. Zero regard for human rights, try explaining about the 1.7 million people that actually surrendered untouched from the drug war. You know whats comical? An idiot from St. Catherines posting in a Canucks forum, thats commenting on philippine politics when hes not even filipino. Real bright buddy. Does your high horse eat carrots or crap like you do?
  2. Aquino, the last one NoyNoy is probably considered the worst president of all time. The same guy that OKed a vaccination that killed thousands of children, and padded his bank account with the Hurricane Yolanda funds that millions of people in the world donated to. Why don't you ask you supposed Aquino buddy how wealthy their family is,The Aquinos are the worst and single reason why the Philippines is still a 3rd world nation. Duterte still stays in his quaint home that hes owned, and drives the same pickup truck for the last few decades. The Aquinos live in gigantic mansions with numerous maids and drivers. Whos corrupt now? Get your facts straight
  3. Attacked the news media? How so? Rappler was guilty of tax evasion, and by law, aren't allowed to operate in the first place since they are owned by foreigners. Whos are these politcal opponents that have been jailed are you talking about? Theres only been one, Leila Delima, and she was jailed because shes guilty of aiding the drug lords. The maximum prison in the philippines have been turned into casinos, with satelitte tvs, internet, jacuzzis, hell even concert venues for the head inmates, thats all under her watch As for the bullying, theres a crap load more anti duterte trolls out there getting paid by the LPs
  4. Duterte has an 80 - 85 percent approval rating, sorry to dissappoint, he's nothing like Trump. What makes you say his a dictator? Did you live in the philippines? do you know people from there? Thats what I thought. Trudeau wishes he has that kind of support from his people, let alone Trump
  5. They've had some crappy draft picks too, Connor Bleakley, and Duncan Siemens. Joe Sakic was really on the hot seat until he pulled the Duchesne heist, which single handedly saved his job. Its really unfair that their D-core might have Dadanov, Barrie, Makar, Girard, and POSSIBLY Byram in the same sheet of ice. Good luck trying to forecheck those guys
  6. Did you guys catch the highlights of the Slovakia US a$$ whippin? Im 150% on the Caufield train, hes replaced Turcotte (who I think is still going to be a star) as my choice for the Canucks to pick at 10. 7 goals in 2 games. Nevermind the stats, its the way he scores is incredible, that release is absolutely handed down by the hockey gods, especially the 2nd goal. Doesn't even look at the net, split millisecond the puck touches the blade of his stick, the red light is on. Absolutely special, doesn't take much but Caufield just strikes like a rapier
  7. I just saw the highlights right now of the Sweden game with Caufield getting the hat trick. That release of his on the 3rd goal is incredible. I swear, him being 5'7 is an advantage to him, just the way he gets down quick and the stick just snaps lightning fast.
  8. I agree. His goal a game pace for USNDP isn't a one off like what Dane Fox did at Erie, Caufield has been practically a goal game his entire hockey career. The kid is goal scorer, and I believe he's better than Debrincat. He's a good skater as well, I don't buy the fact he needs to be blazing fast. You don't need to be a speed demon to slide into open spots on the ice because once the puck hits his stick, his hands are in the air celebrating. Caufield may have some red flags, but the box he checks is probably the most important one. Would you say no to an extra 30-35 goals a season?
  9. Gaudette for Bjustad would be a very bold move if it were to somehow happen. A few teams called Benning on TDL inquiring about Gaudz in the 11th hour and Jim shut it down immediately. I really think, and Im sure most guys here too would agree, Gaudette is going to be a pretty good player, but I would think he would be a chip if we were to trade for a BJustad since the Pens need cap room ASAP

  12. I like Jake and I do hope he turns it around, but IMO he might be more suited to play in the east. Just an observation but a lot of Virtanens points have come this season when the games turned out to be track meets. Theres a player somewhere in there in Jake, just sure hope it comes to fruitiion but sadly out of all the guys we have a trade bait, hes got the most value and I agree with the Penguins need to get younger and cheaper. I mentioned before that I can see Kessel being moved and Letang, and just retool with younger guys built around Crosby and Malkin with McCann, Bjustad and Guentzel as the initial supporting cast
  13. I didn't say I agreed with him, doesnt mean I have to discredit his comment either. Whats your assumption based on then? F-all, thats what I thought. Must be lonely in your moms basement in Victoria
  14. You spelled cupcake right! bravo! Did you need help with google doing that?
  15. At the bottom half of the 1st round, and the rest of the draft for that matter, yes its a bit of crapshoot thats why the scouting staff has to be on point with their evaluation. As for quality of picks, yes Benning has been getting high picks but thats just the nature of the game, your team sucks, you get a better pick Gillis on the other hand had a great team under him and he pissed pretty much every pick out the door and made the excuse that being a good team, means lower draft picks, means crappier players. Whats actually ironic is that, this is according to TSN (im pretty sure it was mcguire that brought this up) theres an infographic, around the time of the Gillis era, the teams with the most prospects that graduated to the NHL during that time period was Boston Chicago and LA. All 3 teams have 1 or multiple cups during the Gillis era and were still able to draft good players and get them to the bigs so I don't buy Gillis excuse
  16. While that is true, I disagree in a way. Yes Centres have 4 jobs, but the supply of centres is absolutely abundant especially 3rd to 4th liners. Defencemen on the other hand, is more scarce, theres a reason why in the summer, teams go nuts on top 4 Dmen and over pay. Theres dmen to be had, yes, but dmen that can actually play and play well, thats a different story. As pretains to the Canucks, I think theres a whole lot of holes in this team other than in goal, our D core is mostly crap for the most part, but we've also gotten shut out 10 times so goal scoring is a problem too
  17. Keep in mind too, as much as a Defenceman is a worthwhile investment, and hold the highest value if you hit, they also bring the most risk being a bust to go with them having to take longer to develop. Its such a crapshoot that the scouting staff have to really do their due deligence on whos gonna translate to the NHL. Some might be busts (ex: Pouliot, Griffin Reinhart), some might be decent but never live up to their (Bogosian, our own L. Schenn). For all we know, Seider ends up being the best D-man in the draft when all is said and done. Many great defencemen, Subban, Weber, Duncan Keith etc. come from various rounds in the draft so you'll never know where that stud Defenceman will be
  18. Thats the million dollar question, which the Canucks are going to have to face at the 10th pick. Do you want to take the 8th best forward? or the 2nd best defenceman? Defenceman right now are such a premium especially how the games played that even if the forward is slightly better than the Dman, you'd opt to take the d-man since they are important in this style of game, defending while pushing the teams pace up the ice. Hitting on a defenceman in the first round and them becoming cornerstone players have such high value, with the exception of ultra elite level mcdavid type players, that they can fetch an incredible ransom in the open market if you choose to trade them
  19. I dont think any of us were complaining that we picked Shinkaruk at that time. If you recall, he was projected top 10-15, and even in, if i recall right, in the preliminary rankings in the beginning of the season, Shinkaruk actually was in the 7 - 10 range. Some guys just don't work out once they got into higher level of competition, just like Jordan Schroeder
  20. yup. OHL and USNDP is much different. Imagine taking the absolute best players in the CHL, putting them on one team, playing against everyone else. USNDP is the best players USA hockey has to offer from coast to coast
  21. Yup and you win the "nobody cares what you think" award. Lets hear the speech! Im sure your grade 1 hooked on phonics can be put to good use
  22. Well that "idiot" has played over a 1000 games in the NHL, scored probably more points than most Canucks have in their careers. How about you Kanukfanatic? What makes you so credible. oh thats right. NOTHING Stop acting like you're smarter than everyone else because you an inbred moron
  23. Yeah I know, that why I agreed with him. Im pretaining to the other mock drafts im seeing from the experts had only 1 Defenceman in the top 10
  24. Heres hoping you're right! But it is a possibility the last 4 you mentioned might fall to us. Im almost guaranteeing that another defenseman will slide into the top 10. There is no way the draft ends up with the top 10 with only 1 defenseman drafted, its too much of a need for a lot of teams, especially the Red Wings, Oilers, and Ducks. Turcotte could drop because he missed games, kind of like Matt Barzal who was also injured for some time during his draft year who talent wise, was easily in the top 10-12
  25. Theres always a good team that underachieves in the playoffs because of goaltending, and heads to the season with an itchy trigger finger. That being said, 1 good year from Markstrom isnt gonna land a 1st rounder or a top D-man. Most likely a 3rd and a B level prospect, MAYBE a 2nd rounder,
