(Speculation) 3 way trade to land PK Suban
BCNeil replied to Gator's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
Exactly. In the end it boils down to the Canucks getting Neal and Subban, at 15 million a year. Plus we would be giving up decent players to Calgary. Way better off for the Canucks to use that kind of money to get a UFA. Even EK would be cheaper. Deal doesn't make sense for the other teams either. Predators have been a top team in the west, trying to take that next step. Trading a top dman for a 1st round pick, doesn't address that. -
At training camp in Whistler last September, GM Jim Benning and Head Coach Travis Green told me this was going to be a building year for the Canucks. A year to establish a new culture and a faster, more urgent style of play. They felt compromising the future for any short-term gain wasn’t worthwhile. I agreed. We had specific goals this season. Forge a new identity, one not shaped by the Sedins. Identify the foundation players we can build around. Have our young guys, supported by veterans, come together and develop and learn just how tough it is to win in this league. Play hard, entertaining hockey. Never give up, battle every night. I thought we did that, almost every game. We played with a lot of heart. You could see chemistry develop and guys playing for each other. Don’t get me wrong. I hate losing. I don’t like finishing where we did in the standings. When you’ve come within a game of winning it all, that’s the standard. I’m disappointed that we slipped out of playoff contention after hanging tough most of the season. It’s easy to point fingers, but it’s more productive to focus on progress and the big picture. Of course we will do a careful evaluation of the team and the whole franchise. But that’s done to inform the future. We’re looking ahead, and I saw many exciting positives this year. Jacob Markstrom developing into a true number 1 goaltender, and Thatcher Demko coming along nicely. Bo Horvat maturing into a skilled, durable leader who can play with anybody, against anybody, in any situation. Brock Boeser becoming a consistent offensive producer while developing his two-way game. Elias Pettersson stepping into the league with more skill and excitement than any Canuck rookie since Pavel Bure. Quinn Hughes providing an instant upgrade to our offensive game from the back end, looking right at home in the NHL from his first shift. Other young players gaining experience, growing noticeably, solidifying their spots on the roster. Jim and his group brought in some valuable additions who strengthen our team and give us needed depth. And they signed some young prospects we think will help us down the line. I’m confident we’re on the right path. Do I wish we were further along? Of course. But I recognize it’s a long process, it requires patience, there are no shortcuts. We’re absolutely determined to get back among the elite teams, capable of challenging for the Stanley Cup year after year. As an owner and lifelong Canucks fan, that’s what I’m committed to. That means we’ve all got serious work to do—everybody in the organization, on and off the ice, pulling together, focused on the long-term goal. I believe we’re a big step closer than we were a year ago. And we’ll be another step closer a year from now. We’re all looking forward to the entry draft here at Rogers Arena in June, and the many celebrations we’ve got planned for an unforgettable 50th season. Expect more news on that front soon. We’re moving in the right direction. The ownership group—my father Luigi, brothers Roberto and Paolo, and myself—are committed to providing the resources needed to build the team that Vancouver fans deserve. We’re on a journey, and we’re glad you’re sharing it with us. Thank you for your passion and your continuing support.Francesco Aquilini, Owner and Governor

Wish we could see a replay -
I think they will start promoting the draft, after the lottery on the 9th. I can't imagine tickets will be hard to get
-
Well if you got the tickets at the same time, your priority numbers would be consecutive. So you would always be in the same relocation session, I can't see why you wouldn't be able to get seats next to each other. I would also consider full seasons, even if you need to sell some more games.
-
Nothing has been sent to season ticket holders.
-
60 and 80% more
-
60% round 1...........80% round 2
-
Think we would need to be 4-5 points closer for them to bother. Calgary clinched Sunday night when the Wild lost, they charged me for games 1 and 2 about 45 minutes later on my mastercard oh this is on the Flames site.....5 home games left, including Oilers on a Saturday.....probably garbage left, but worth looking into A very limited number of ticket packages are still available for the balance of the 2018-2019 season including a playoff option. For more information please contact our Sales Team @ 403-777-4646.

I hope the gift is a 50th jersey. It would be really cool if somehow they could make the ones the season ticket holders get a numbered limited edition. With the jersey being a little different than the ones they will sell. One per seat too, not one per account.
-
I don't think many people who have stuck around the last few years will give up now. I think they will get a very high renewal rate, like over 95% of current season ticket holders. Good time to add seats Hope it's a special jersey

Both are goalies are better than their numbers. Our team defence is still lacking.

Seattle Expansion Draft - Who do the Canucks protect?
BCNeil replied to lukchin's topic in Canucks Talk
Too far away. We could have a completely different top 6 defence by then -
Should be a DQ
-
There is a possibility of some big trades being made there too. I imagine the Canucks will do something to jazz it up for live fans. Maybe some players will be signing autographs.
-
They haven't announced tickets to the STHs yet. I will go, it will be cheap to get in. I think it will be pretty boring though.
-
Maybe in fall when they send us information about seat selection and payment plans, they will want more cash then. Stuff like that will thin out the heard a bit. I know for Vancouver I pay 10% now for my next year tickets, they payments from july-january. But Vegas for instance, they did have payment plans...but they started months before their first game and you would have been almost paid up in full before their first game was even played. If they want the money early, it will really mess up scalpers with 20 or more seats. Even people with 4 that need to sell half to be able to afford to go, might reconsider.
