  1. Thanks. I think it's a simple but strong distinctive design. Maybe not as low-plunging though. It's V for Vancouver, and the stick in rink shoulder patches for Canucks.
  2. I'd like to see the flying V's again except with the current blue/green/white instead of the ugly yellow. Add stick in rink patches on the shoulders. Do away with the orcas. No Johnny Canuck. Let's keep it simple. Can someone put this together? I'm no techie.
  3. A laughable comment if you're not being sarcastic ... to suggest that losing in the SCF is somehow a shameful thing. Many other coaches wish they could have achieved this. Stigma? I think not. Pride maybe, to have gotten this far twice in recent years with two different teams.
  4. I'm thinking all Canucks and their fans wish they were in 'poor AV's predicament.
  5. I'm disappointed no Canuck wailed on Byron after that hit.
  6. I'm betting on their revival after Torts goes. Actually, I'm betting on the whole team's revival!
  7. Ditto for Hansen. It was uncomfortable just watching him get screamed and poked at by Torts on national tv. Hansen wasn't the same after that. And singling out just a few guys for that kind of treatment doesn't sit well with the players. They all make mistakes. I'm betting his disrespectful treatment of players cost him the room.
  8. I do remember how well the team was doing till the end of December. But I also don't think it's a coincidence that bodies started dropping like crazy after that ... including ironman Henrik... and multiple players were having their worst ever productive seasons. It has to be the system, which includes overplaying the core players. While Henrik wasn't injured by blocking a shot, he was fatigued and that made him vulnerable to taking hits to the body.... something he was good at evading for years before.
  9. Is this based on his 20 mins of play so far with the Canucks? Or his ..874 save % in 12 games with Florida last season? I WOULD be surprised if he gets a 3-0 shutout.
  10. Maybe Trevor can don the skates for this game and inspire the team. Hey, he's the same age (43) as Teemu and seems to be in great shape. If Teemu can do it, so can Trevor! I'm only kidding of course, but one can dream! I'm calling 4-1 Colorado with Markstrom in net. 2-1 Canucks if Linden plays.
  11. Trevor brings instant class to the organization. I trust him to bring a classy guy in as the next coach. I think he could just change some players' minds about playing for Vancouver.
  12. I'd love to ride that one trick pony now! And this is not hindsight. I knew there'd be trouble with Torts coming in and I said it. On the other hand AV has the Rangers playing well and going into the playoffs.
  13. Yup, it means that the joke's on us for getting rid of him. He has his team on the upswing while we're destined for our worst season in recent history. Still, I'm calling a 3-2 SO win for the Canucks.
  14. I would say so. Wild have outshot us 2-1 (24 to 12). We'll have to pick it up in the third to avoid blowing this game.
  15. Badly outplayed but winning. Lucky goals. Unlikely heroes Booth, Edler. The god are messing with us!
  16. Doesn't mean a thing. How many times have we lost to a 'weaker' team we SHOULD've beat? The Wild will take us lightly (sigh... how times have changed) and we will win 3-1.
  17. Too bad. The longer Markstrom sits, the tougher it will be for him when he finally plays (maybe out of necessity). I think he should play if only to see how he can play.
  18. The rookie played 'as good' as a backup. You're finding out it isn't the same being a starter, aren't you? The workload and pressure have an effect on performance, no?
  19. Most likely because the Canucks' play has been Lacklustre for the last while.
  20. I'm guessing our defense will play well and shut OV down. But as usual, we'll have trouble scoring. So I'll say 2-1 Canucks in another shootout win. This time Burrows with the winner. Just an interesting thing I just noticed: Luongo, Lack, and Schneider all have an identical save % of .918. It's Luongo vs Schneider on Friday, and Luongo vs Lack on Sunday. It's weird that Lu plays against his former understudies in two consecutive games.
