  1. It's hard to reason with these guys who have a simple understanding of the game. They think the game is just the opposition versus our goalie. In Lu's case, these guys would blame him for an empty net goal.
  2. We're only 7 points behind Anaheim for FIRST IN THE LEAGUE with a game in hand. Win this and it's only 5. How good is that?! The Canucks are always pumped for Chicago. They'll eke out a 3-2 victory.
  3. Lately it's been .... 'The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight'! And, the Canucks are on a quest for 'The Score'.
  4. The last game was really the only one of our 5 game losing streak where the effort wasn't there. It seems the Canucks took Florida too lightly. They won't make the same mistake against Columbus. I expect a good bounceback game with some scoring for a change. Sedins back on track. Canucks win 4-1.
  5. It's just a few Lu haters that haven't gotten over their hero Schneider being traded. They have their Lu hating blinders on and can't find it in themselves to acknowledge that Lu is playing well. As someone noted, Lu has been playing at .918 (his lifetime save%) in his last 10 games... clearly showing that he's trending upward. Unbelievably, they blame Lu for our losing streak while failing to mention the team's scoring drought, the defensive breakdowns resulting in impossible shots to save, the fluke goals.... They rave on about Lu not stealing games when he has, about his 'soft goals' when it's a fact of (goalie's) life, and about his 'belly flopping' in a goal area scramble after a series of saves (something they can see in the highlights every night from any goalie)... not explaining how a goalie is supposed to stay on his feet in such situations. Then they dredge up 2011. Look, these guys are entitled to their hate on Lu. But it's hard to digest when it's coloured by their ignorance of the complete game.
  6. After the game the Panthers laughed 'Now we've all won here'. That's referencing Thomas' earlier comment ('I have') that he has won in Vancouver, ie, the SCF. So that's two little digs at the Canucks. Why I ought'a...! Now if that's not motivation for the Canucks for the next time... oh wait, that's not till March! Grrrrr...
  7. One big win next game and everyone is happy again. Enough of the handwringing. The team has played well lately and the last few losses could easily have been wins. Things are not as bad as it looks.
  8. Waiting (2005) or Deadheads (2011) Or Mission Impossible?
