That was the guy I was originally focused on. I was hoping Trev/Benn would trade up for him, due to the fact that he sounds like a cornerstone player, and I believe in building from center ice out. But since the "Chin-up-gate" scandal broke..... I'm not sure anymore.....

[Report] Canucks wont ask Alex Edler to waive NTC
terrible.dee replied to AriGold's topic in Canucks Talk
I guarantee they are on the same page, It's clear that in the division of labour between them, Trev is the P.R guy You're going to hear a lot of stuff through Trev in the coming months that you would expect to hear from Benning, a lot of which may be regarding decisions Benning made on his own. Don't sweat it, Trev is the face and mouth of the Franchise going forward, As he always should have been. -
[Report] Canucks wont ask Alex Edler to waive NTC
terrible.dee replied to AriGold's topic in Canucks Talk
That article tells me a lot, The Edler quote where he talks about trusting his instincts yells me that he's the type of person that needs to NOT think about what he's doing to access his best. This is a very common trait of right brain people, they must bypass their left brain thinking center to perform. It's clear how having a coach ask him to constantly be thinking about what he's doing would destroy his game. Most people may not relate to this, but I certainly do, working in the music business I encounter it all the time, Certain people, when micro-managed, can't perform. It's then up to the producer (or in this case the coach) to pull the necessary perfomance out of them, without asking them to constantly self-analyize. Edler just got a pass with me.- 274 replies

I think next year he should be given the second line center spot. Put him Kess and Kassian together in a room and say "You're together all year so figure it out" Treat him like a top 6 player, give him time to grow into the role and watch him become one.

[Botchford] Kesler gave a list of 6 (revisited)
terrible.dee replied to HunterHorvatBure's topic in Trades, Rumours, Signings
That's it really, depends on whether they want to keep Stastny or not. Kess's salary saves them the money they would need to do it. Also, with all the youth they have they might actually want someone who is a little older, been to a cup final ect. Very interesting. -

If O'Reilly for Kess is possible then make it happen Benning! -
And exactly what information are you in possession of that the poster you "replied" to is not? This is a discussion board so if you have info to the contrary we're all ears. I'll expect you to provide some hard evidence of trotz coaching an upbeat offensive style, or just assume adding useless comments like "So uninformed" J@cks off your ego.

We better no see any of that trap BS if Trotz is hired. I don't even believe the way NASH has played at times should be legal in this league. Fine, he coached what he was given, like AV when he had the Nucks trapping in '08 But Linden (Not that you'll be reading this) if I see the Canucks dump the puck in and clog the neutral zone you will not get ONE DIME out of me. And if you think I'm the only one willing to withhold dollars based on style of play. try it and find out. Clogging the neutral zone to force turn overs is NOT HOCKEY it is method used by less talented players to STOP the other team from playing hockey. It should have outlawed after the devils won the cup in 95' and it's a joke that we even need to be concerned about it in 2014

[Report] Torts wanted to buy out Alex Burrows
terrible.dee replied to hockeyville88's topic in Canucks Talk
That was the moment I went "....wha?" The guy had been hired for weeks and didn't seem to know a thing about Edler, I found that very strange indeed -
Well, the NFL is a separate issue. No guaranteed contracts and very short career spans. Job security in that league is a concern so any non-superstar would be wise to finish his collage degree before entering the draft. However, to those players who compare it to slavery, I'd say this: You are paid huge money, slaves were paid nothing. You can quit if you don't like it, slaves had no choice but to work. You party away your earnings on strippers and blow, slaves worked for a meal and sometimes didn't even get that. Their ancestors should come back from the grave an b#$ch slap them for saying that.

[Speculation] Kesler to remain a Canuck
terrible.dee replied to TheRussianRocket.'s topic in Canucks Talk
I would assume most veteran players with families are better off passing on the world's. The body takes time to recover and a long off season every now and then goes a long way towards extending a NHL career. Really surprised Bieksa is going. He has recent injuries and kids, -

Do you have a link to a quote for this? Not trying to cross examine, but I would like to see it. It would back up the speculation that the teams leadership wants Torts gone. Kesler in particular, and that his "trade demand" was a political powerplay against the coach. -
That's how businesses work, if I were one of his employes I would certainly hope he was making money, means I would still be receiving a pay check. As far as working with people who aren't fans of my race, I have worked with several black musicians who aren't particularly fond of whitey. Their checks cleared just fine.

The title says "Don't bring black people to games" But the quote states " Don't bring HIM to my games. Meaning Magic Johnston (Wow, I just now realized his name is a double entendre) Am i missing something here? I know it makes us feel all smug and superior to dog pile on a "RACIST!!!" but before I get my finger pointing fix for the day I would like to know what this discrepancy is about?
