so.....it's a good thing we got rid of a good player so a player who isn't as good gets more opportunity? If only we got rid of Bure..........he was really cutting into Sandlak's ice time
-
..........(sniffle)........I miss him already

HAHAHAHAHAH!!!! "The Benning Factor" I believe, will be synonymous with something FAR different than what you've linked it with here.

Why is everyone talking as though we got some kind of offensive D-man? We Didn't this guy gets what? 45-50 pts in Jr? IN JR?!??!? Think people!! Guys who get 100 + points in Jr are lucky to be 20 goal guys in the bigs We're lucky if this guy tops 25 pts in his career (If he has one) Once again the offensive purge of this team carries on, we did NOT get a key piece here people THAT is why the CB slingshotted themselves ahead of us, because #3 was the LAST impact pick, The Bluejackets beat us up and took our lunch money, and we didn't do a goddamn thing about it.

as opposed to the shady character, mental weaklings other GM's covet? Brilliant!! Thank you for pointing out the genius of JB, Gillis would have never come up with a strategy that clever. Hey, maybe we'll just collapse 5 guys right to the net off every face off this year, just block shots, like having 5 goaltenders? We are bound to score a couple when the puck deflects off our players faces and goes the length of the ice to catch the other goalie napping. That would REALLY be putting our mental toughness to good use, only character guys block shots right? Sweet! Renew my Seasons tickets pronto! This will be so much fun to watch...

People remember Barrasso due to the face that he was tricking' hilarious. One of sports all time paranoid pricks, just a first class tool. I miss him....I wish he would take over coaches corner, now that would be "can't miss TV" -

.....Lou is still in the league? -
Why is everyone so down on this team? Were down 2-1, big deal , remember the leader of 94' is leading this squad as well, be patient and you might be surprised with what our guys come up with, BTW props to Burrows, he is the F'ing man. THAT"S how you play playoff hockey, Crush their skilled weaker players then if anyone gets in your face about it, knock em' the f@#k out. Burrows reminded me what the playoffs are all about today, It should be an all out war, and for Burrows it is, The more time goes by, the more I see 14 raised to the rafters someday,

Exactly, which in my mind makes him redundant, skating is the biggest issue facing players making that final step to the bigs, so we have a redundant asset with a prime handicap, who apparently has worth on the market? Let's fill some slots that are empty, Horvat has shown he can play at the NHL level, McCann with his superior speed will blaze past Gaunce on the depth chart and fight Virtannen for the top prospect title. If Gaunce is attractive to anyone let's hear them out.
-
And this is the situation we have looming, in My opinion McCann is our best prospect for 1st line center duty but we need another high pick, a center specifically, an offensive center. We have 2 way prospects up the a$$ and need someone to take over from Henrik in the not too distant future, Vey and McCann are really the only two possibilities. And I see them more as potential 2C. Anyone south of McCann is fair game to me. I'd deal Gaunce in a heartbeat,if an 1C center prospect was coming back. And I don't project Jenssen to be an NHL regular, I just don't see it.

I've maintained from day 1, Burrows plays with genuine passion and the only thing that will stop him is his own decision to retire. He's what I look for in a player. Plays hockey like he's going to war. I still think he's part of a select group that gets to retire a Canuck if that's what he wants. He may not be remembered like Linden or Bure, but 20 years from now he will still be remembered. Ring of honor for sure.
-
meh, just threw it out there for "crazy talk" But I will say this, Bo looks his best when facing an oncoming rush or zone entry. And in those moments he's shined the most, he looked like a D man, typically a center would cover the slot or the back of the net, and I've seen Bo leave both areas to challenge an oncoming for checker, ....If Fedorov could do it.....(Yes, I know Federov could skate....really well)
-
Also, Vey managed to impress from the fourth line, so I'm not sure I buy the "Better line mates! More minutes!" stuff. The truth is we really don't know what this kid will be at the NHL level, and it may be a while till we find out.
-
Someone brought up "wild n' crazy" so how about this... Play Bo on D, Mobility isn't great, but if reading the play and defensive positioning is his thing, don't those skills usually translate to the D position? Bo as a "Stay-at-home" Shut down guy? Wille Mitchell v2?
-
Ok, that's a decent sample size.
-
How many draws total?
-
I was at the game, but was late so only saw the 2nd half. I recall no highlights, but no lowlights either, I do recall him handling the puck once or twice, and his attempts to stay involved, so I guess those are all good signs. But I don't remember seeing much of him in the 3rd, or De Fazio.
-
I actually had no idea that was a "Thing" Pretty F#@kin' cool actually!
-
I am in total agreement with you.
-
I doubt it, I actually haven't made it out to any Ducks games this year,I should call some Ducks friends and are what they think of him.
-
Kes's minus stat has a lot to do with the role he plays, play against the leagues best night after night for nearly 20 minutes. That minus 2 isn't bad for someone playing in his role.
-
...for the kits men's hockey school. Anyway, we could go on and on with this... He's not staying past this season, so I want him gone at the deadline. But as a player, he's good in his role.
-
No way Bo is knocking Vey out of his spot. Vey is very quietly becoming our break out player. To quote some movie I can't recall, Vey is un-F@#kable.
