  1. Goal is the ONLY position I am happy with, Let these two battle each other for the #1 spot this year, If there's a crear winner, that's our guy If they both look good, we trade one, If neither get it done, we are that much closer to drafting a REAL offensive prospect next year. We can't lose.......even if we don't win.
  2. I don't think it's too hard to extrapolate how he feels based on that statement. "It is what it is" always has a negative contention. Used in reference a situation one finds undesirable, but cannot control.
  3. Well, He SOUNDS good. Anybody seen this kid play? Whoa........he just said "It is what it is" in regards to being picked by us? He did not want to be picked by us.
  4. De' Angello seems nice....he comes off well in interviews. Might be the steal of the draft.
  5. Kapanen still falling... Bad interviews? Size? What's the knock on this guy?
  6. I'm with you, Nothing would make me happier than to be proven wrong about all that has happened today, Time will tell.............
  7. 1. "Silly" isn't an effective counter argument, do what you like, but you may want to try backing up your positions, makes for better discussion around here. 2. I understand that we "want" to get bigger/tougher, whether we "need" to acquire these qualities at the expense of hockey skill is debatable. I offer Buffalo's quest to beat Boston at their own game as an example of why getting bigger/tougher isn't always a good idea.
  8. The problem is this, The talent he judged to be most desirable, he failed to obtain. Everything we ended up with today is plan "D"
  9. The benning disappointment has to do with failing to meet the goals he set. Had he not wanted to trade up, or get certain things for Kesler, there wouldn't be a problem, whether we agreed with his decisions or not. But that fact that his objectives were made public knowledge and he failed to achieve any of them, is the root of our discontent. Virt is a power forward, there is higher rate of bust with that particular sub-group of players, It also appears to be a reactionary pick, trying to keep up with LA. "Follow the leader" team building doesn't have a very good track record either. So there you have it, that is the basis for the current malcontent.
