  1. https://canucksarmy.com/2020/10/24/nils-hoglander-has-been-one-of-the-best-two-way-players-in-the-shl-this-season/?utm_source=dlvr.it&utm_medium=twitter apparently he's one of the best 2 way forwards in the SHL right about now. hopefully we have another soon to be NHLer in our pipe line. I really like to see us do well also out side the first round.
  2. might have a gem, although I'm not one that will hold my breath for 6th rounders. It's been a while since we developed a full time NHLer out of the 6th round. Craig Button is madly in love with this guy. As someone pointed out earlier, projected to be an elite number 1 centreman, wow a word we can use. https://www.tsn.ca/dmitri-zlodeyev-centre-1.1472321 in depth scouting report from Steve. Steve also have awesome write ups for his content. He's also likes him a lot. Had him ranked in the 1st round. https://thehockeywriters.com/canucks-prospects-steals-zlodeyev-jurmo-persson/ the hockey-writers think we have a steal and also have high praises for him. https://thehockeywriters.com/dmitri-zlodeyev-2020-nhl-draft-prospect-profile/ now he did drop to the 6th round, not sure why, maybe the lack of intel? Button and Steve is madly in love with this guy, Button had him ranked 32nd overall, Steve had him ranked 28th.
  3. especially if Toffoli who is 3 years younger went for 4.2, that's reasonable for Hoffmans range and price. When Toffoli's contract ends, he's literally still 32, Hoffman is already 31.
  4. send him down to their Junior or farm team then.
  5. from the information I've seen, Florida, Nashville, Vancouver, and Columbus is interested in him. I like the idea of having more offensive wingers to replace toffoli, we don't have enough offence still, but huge pass on this Hoffman guy.
  6. Would love to see him here. He is 27 next year and before he knows it he’s wasted a lot of years in the khl.
  7. he's not expansion protected as confirmed by himself when he was asked about it last year. that said I doubt Seattle will take him.
  8. you know what's hilarious. He had a 11 minute interview with sports net and he started it off by saying he had multiple teams interested in him. That's bull $&!#. The fact it was 700000k shows no one wanted him. and because he signed with the leafs instead of the Canucks, guys like Dreger and Friedman doesn't have a negative back story like Toronto was the only team interested in signing him. Peddle off the meddle if it's a leafs signing. Rip it hard if it was a Canuck signing. I think leafs fans want to find something good to say about the signing. Who am I to question what a future hall of famer does, but with all due respect to Joe Thornton, what he is doing right now playing at a lowest level in his career is something the Sedin's didn't want to do, which was playing their final years from team to team on a low salary at a low level.
  9. it's funny we were willing to give up more for for OEL then Benning rumoured from Arizona side Canucks final offer 1st 2nd, Virtanen Sutter Canucks arm chair. One of Rathbone or Juolevi, Kole Lind 1st round pick Brandon Sutter Glad arizona turned down our reasonable offer.
  10. 2016 not looking that great of a draft with Juolevi, Poolparty, Logan Brown, Nylander and many others not making much of an impact yet.
  11. Ed Jovanovski. Was the core when we had the west coast express line.
  12. I tell you guys this right now... If we signed him for lets say 800 000k, you will probably see guys like Friedman or Dregger with a so called backstory that no one knows, and say "it looks to me, no one wanted him, and Vancouver was the only team in the NHL that wanted him" type of bull $&!#. But because he signed with the Leafs you don't see Dregger trolling this signing, which was totally useless to the leafs. Dubas runs his team like NHL 2020.
  13. some teams retro jerseys look good and some don't. I was never a fan of the Retro Flames and I like the 2004 flames jersey as their jersey the best. St.Louis Blues another example of a team with not so great retro jerseys.
  14. he's way better then both of them.
  15. we added a top 2 man on our team. that is all. a hell of a trade. he will be 32 by the time he finishes the last season with us.
  16. https://www.futurescopehockey.com/post/2021-october-top-32 a decent write up by a 3rd party on the 2021 draft. he thinks Hughes skates like his brother and is 6'2 we'll see about that
  17. apparently his he gets sent to the minors we save 2 million off the cap. it's not worth it.
  18. that's fine but at some point he has no say, because 3 times hes came back and 3 time he knocked out.
  19. Dubas is such a NHL2020 type of gm its quite funny actually although his signings were pretty good.
  20. lop sided trade. this is better for our team then to give whatever package we have for Oliver Ekman Larrson.
  21. he's drafted to be a top 6 player if not, scouting should be fired oh wait, he left, lol
  22. I never liked these ones for what ever reason. Red and yellow, they don't have good retro jerseys unlike some other nhl teams.
  23. he's a garbage general manager. The accumulated bad signings have lead him to this point. He had no room to sign Chris Tanev that's haw bad it is, and now he is paying the price, his team paying the price and the Canucks next season will pay the price with probably not making the playoffs. There is no replacement right now, the only player similar in terms of what they bring to an defensive game is Travis Hamonic, that's it. His plan was actually Shattenkirk but he has no interest in playing in Canada. JB screwed up, big time, and now he's facing the consequences. screw you Jim Benning.
  24. Plan B was probably Shattenkirk, who signed with Anahiem for 3.9 for 3 years.
