  1. no crap, their really isn't, there will be someone who will tell you he is ecstatic to draft any of the guys from number 1 to 14. Don't listen to him. It really drops off after the first 6 players. Big time. the rest are crap shoots. A bunch Michael Grabners type of players. (high risk high reward, but the reward is probably a top 6 player) the counter argument will be, "well you never know, he can be the next Sidney crosby, or Ovechkin" a bunch of players that will be average players in the NHL.
  2. I think your dreaming if you truly believe some teams can take momentum into next season. It really doesn't work that way. Of course your right... the Canucks have pride, but I hope you understand my frustration. I believe a higher pick is a much better choice then some "momentum" that probably might not even be there come next October probably a good handful of new players. the 1st 5 is tier 1, the next tier is like the next 4 picks..... the rest is all over the place. Such draft usually represents a weak draft. eg 2006, and or 2004. drafting at number 6 I believe we had a good shot at either, Dal Cole Bennet, or the German Gretzky, one of the 3. My hopes have been dashed now, and we will probably settle for some future second line player. I'm not joking. The only players that have top line potential is the big fowards, (Reinhart, Bennet, Dassarti, and Dal Cole) with rounding it up, of Ekblad, Byron Ritchie is a playmaking version and a sniper version of MIlan Lucic, with a top 6 pick, we will be gauranteed one of the big 5 forwards, then after that it's all crap shooting. Literally. Bunch of potential top 6 players, and top 4 dmans. this sucks. Oh wells. I'm going to kindly remind people this right now, outside the top 5 fowards in this draft most of them are have a ceiling of a 2nd line foward. or a top 4 dman. talk about dman... this year's draft is terrible for dmans, with a bunch of 5 footers. Oh man did we shoot ourselves in the balls tonight with this useless win....
  3. this is totally useless to win games now. In fact Canucks fans are being teased, some of them who thinks we have a chance a the playoff spot. We don't. It's like taking a gun??? yea? you take a gun, not shoot yourself foot, but shoot yourself in the nuts. Yea, thats right, shooting ourselves in the nuts. I thought we had a chance a small chance to drop lower then Nashville, doesn't look that way anymore. Talk about bad luck First everything went against, us with key players being injured, when one comes back, another one gets injured... now we have guys on fire, but at the wrong time, it's like.... we know we are not making the playoffs, but the team is still trying hard to get like a 12th pick or something, unbelievable, way ta go Canucks. Teasing the fans too.
  4. If there's a must win game, it will be tommorow night for the Predators, for the sakes going past them in the draft lottery. Love how I'm scraming the words to confuse you guys? Yes 3-0 Preds tommorow.
  5. omg do you guys actually think we had a chance tonight? Look at the team, i'm surprised they won the game yesterday, give it up. Best interest for the team to give us loser reward, which is a high draft pick Canucks can have some hopes about. This season is long gone, after that 8 game home losing streak. It's over boys. There's no way we will make the playoffs. Not even close. expect the worst so when it happens you guys won't be disappointed or heart broken. Because we already told you so, that they will miss it.
  6. unbelievable. We are thinking long term. These last 12 games mean nothing, while putting us in a better draft position in a position to draft a player that will help us for the next 12 years mean more then a meaningless 12 games. And even if we make the playoffs, do you honestly think we can beat St.Louis without Kesler, Daniel and a number 1 goalie? Now you guys are the crazy ones.
  7. Why are they winning these useless games? So whats the point of coming in 9th or 10th even? Their not going to make it! Even if they do, do they really believe they can beat the Blues or Ducks without the Arsenal of Daniel and Ryan Kesler? It's literally a dream, even they are saying on sportsnet "The dream lives on" they dream is a higher pick, with hopes of drafting a good player that can help the team for many years to come! making the playoffs or coming in 9th with a weaker pick does not help! Why are the stupid Canucks showing up now? Where the hell were they when we needed them 2 months ago?
  8. I love this team to death, I love the Sedins, Kesler, Hamhius, Bieksa, you have guys like Kesler who is whois gotten into injuries by blocking shots! (last year foot, this year Hands olympics), but honestly... there's really no point, in a long term point of view, this years draft they say is not very deep, after doing some following, it's not "weak" as we think, whatever we want? it's available, this draft is almost structured in that manner, that said... they are better off with a top 10 pick, then a pick in the teens. This season is really that lost, Daniel Sedin, Kesler is gone, Santerolli, the list goes on, even if we do come in 8th, we will probably get rocked in 4.
  9. It's sad to see Kesler go down, but man... is a playoff spot the most useless crap for us right now. ok ok, I think it will be fine.. if we went went into the playoffs with everyone, Healthy Kesler, Daniel Sedin, including Keslers top linemate, Mike Santorelli, and everyone, but no.. it wont, Daniel is gone for the season, Kesler is out 4'6 weeks, (knee injuries like that is 4-6 weeks) so yes, whats the point of making the playoffs? Just so we can get our ass handed to us? We won't win anyways best thing to do? finish as low as possible and draft as high as possible. Were in a rare spot right now, what rare spot? A rare spot to pick very high this season. So yes. lol
  10. don't be all gloomy guys... I think we really do have a chance at finishing well not catching or falling down to buffalo range, but maybe in the top 4, since if you consider the current pattern, which is winning 1 bloody game in every 7 games, we are pretty much on pace to winning 2 games in our final 15 games, which will give us 72 points, I think that will be low enough to draft in the top 3, with hopes of Bennet Reinhart or Ekblad. Reinhart Bennet Dal Cole all have been given unbelievable praises by hockey fans whois seen them play. Apparently one WHL season ticket holder posted on hfboards saying he's the smartest player he's even seen come though the WHL. Reinhart is also according to many WHL followers better then Nugent Hopkins at the same, age, so yes, I think we can continue to tank, pray that we win the lottery and draft a local kid who will lead our team to glory one day with the backings of Horvat and Gaunce.
  11. Remove this clown right now! He pretty much is coaching the same team that won the presidents trophy 2 years ago, why the hell can't we even score a bloody goal?
  12. Please lose Vancouver. top 5 pick tier 1. More beneficial. Die today, live for tomorrow, go all out next year. Capitalize on a rare opportunity to draft very high.
  13. according to some fans who watch Virtanen many times, they think he's a 1st round pick, but top teens material. His hockey instincts is not as polished, a little inconsistent, he does have the speed, sniping skills, and physical game, a lot of his goals he scored in the WHL will be hard to come by the NHL level.
  14. based on what? Did you ever see Virtanen play? Back on topic, this team is projected to finish in the bottom 4, since the Canucks are literally winning 1 game in every 7 games, the worst team in 2014, they will finish the season with 72 points, good enough for at least bottom 4 even a bottom 3, high enough to draft Sam Bennet.
  15. To be honest if the New York Islanders score 7 against you, WITHOUT Jonathan Tavares.... yea....... your pretty a non playoff team......
  16. why is David Poile and Lou Lammeroello still GM's? They are good GM"s. You don't fire the gm after 7 strong years. You just don't.
  17. well we can't just fire the GM after 1 bad season, on top of 7 consective very good seasons. This is pretty much the same team he he had last year, so why fire the GM? What did he do? literallly nothing, yes! Nothing! I don't think anyone including the fans saw this coming. If David Poile and Lou Lamerioulleo still has their job after years and years of failed hockey I think MIke Gillis will not get fired because he's achieved more then both those GM's Since he (mike Gillis) has joined the leauge as a General manger. Why fire Mike Gillis? I don't understand you guys. I really don't. What did you want him to do anyways? He can't really prevent the team from struggling when you can't even anticipate it to happen. LIke all of a sudden they just decided to suck! yes! the team! They decided to suck out of nowhere, we won 7 games in a row, we thought things were fine, then they started to lose and suck! Same team that won 7 in a row, now we are calling for Mike Gillis's head? You guys are unbelievable, I stand by my word. If David Poile and Lou Lammerou still has their job, Mike Gillis will too.
  18. it's actually funny reading your post...it's not the players fault? They are the ones that are playing on the ice, not MIke Gillis! Fail! Alex Burrows? 0 goals? Henrik Sedin? Pointless in 20 games? fail! Canucks fans on canucks.com fail!
  19. Your in for a surprise then my friend.....
  20. I don't think he's the right coach. It's not even close, this is almost the same team as last year, look at the difference in EVERYTHING. from scoring , standings, penalty kill, power play, it's a huge difference, this team literally played better under A.V's system vs Torterella's system. It's very dissapointing, how wrong we are, at this point. I remember back in December we were all happy about Torts, like look at it. Yea, sure you can say this team is hampered with injuries, last year the Canucks lost Ryan Kesler for almost the entire year, i'm sorry to say this. A.V might be a better coach by virtue of having a much more effective "system" in place, vs Tortz, who probably is a better motivator, but the system not equally as effective as A.V's. I'm begging for a coaching change.
  21. I thought were tanking We should tank now. No point. The team is discouraged. Tank for Reinhart.
  22. I think the Canucks will no honor for connor it next year. He's too good to pass up on.
