  1. Gillis is here for the long term. If Poile hasn't gotten fired and, there's no way Gillis goes.
  2. He's a good gm. Some mistakes, but he's a good GM in the end of the day. Canucks fans no jack sh!t. You guys don't know anything. You guys are complaining about the Twins, well what do you want? let them go for nothing? silly Canucks fans never know.

  4. Fellow Canucks fans, I am extremely saddened to see the great goalie in Canuck history go. He's the only one that we can label an all star. But it's in the best interest for LUongo and the Canucks. Jacob Markstrom. This guy , is a goalie on the rise. since last year, Panthers fans were unwilling to even move him straight up for Luongo, that trend actually continued into this season. Some clown brought up "the value of LUongo" on hfboards.com, by a panthers fan, all of them responded in a way they will not do Markstrom straight up. This is a very good trade for Gillis. On top of that we solve our centerman position.
  5. Nope. Before any trade is done, MIke Gillis will ask Francisco "We have this deal, do you want to take it.? this is the pros and cons etc etc etc," done
  6. There's no short list. Nick Kypreos joining on the Kesler trade rumors b.s. He has a history of being a follower.
  7. The Canucks also need a piece or 2 to start the foundations of the new core. Unless they think Bo Horvat is going to be the franchice player, I think he's going to be awesome, but he's no rebuilding part, he's a number 2 centerman. We need a number 1 centerman, which I think they should tank for this year or the following year. The following year is the Mcdavid show, or Eichel.
  8. A lot of Canucks fans already pointed it out, and came to the conclusion that Kesler did not demand a trade despite what the media is saying. Don't worry bro, Kesler who is one of my favorite players, will not be traded.
  9. I don't see Edler or Kesler being moved. MIke Gillis will not trade them. Of course he will sit around and listen. If Edler does get traded another dman is coming back. We can't continue to lose dmans and not really replenish the loss. We already loss Salo got nothing in return, loss Ehrhoff got nothing in return (there goes our lethal power play) we gained Garrison but he's no where near Salo or Ehrhoff, and we can't lose Edler for nothing.
  10. the clowns here no jack crap about managing a hockey team at the NHL. They struggle for a half season, and they call for the GM to get fired, and to trade off all core players for a bunch draft picks, and maybe 1st rounders. These place is absolutely clueless when to comes to managing a hockey club. Not that I know how to manage a hockey team myself, but most of what MIke Gillis have been doing to this team is is nothing but positive moves. Edler at 5 millino is a good signing. David Booth was also a good trade, because we still end up with a 2nd round pick, and he's not a deadbeat like Samuelson. Bieksa was a warrior in the playoffs prior to his current contract. Garrison is on pace to a 40 point season. Dan Hamhius... welll... what can I say... he made team Canada despite being the 7th dman.... The Keith Ballard trade was not the best, of course we all make mistakes and Letting Ehrhoff go was probably his worst move. But still. MIke Gillis >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> arm chairs on Canucks.com
  11. As far as I know, as a fan, I don't want Kadri even on this team. Character is important to the Vancouver Canucks. Something Kadri is really lacking. No thank you.
  12. it goes both ways. Carey Price is praised as one of the best goalies right now, however when it was about Luongo people kept on saying, "Well he hasn't won a Stanley cup yet or a Vezina trophy, so before he accomplishes that, he cannot be the best." But they don't ask for Carey Price to accomplish that, so yes, it goes both ways. People were also slamming the Dan Hamhius made the team, probably because he's a Canuck.
  13. If we are trading a player we wouldn't consider , wouldn't that mean they will be considered? hahahah, Doug Mclean is a funny man.
  14. I don't know about you clowns here, I think we will be fine. Of course not this year, but we will be fine next year. MIke Gillis will take advantage of the increased cap and go from there. Trust him.
  15. You mean be a total dick and prevent them from living their dream of playing for their country at the olympics? Thank god you don't have you way.
  16. No he didn't those are good contracts. It's either that, or letting guys lIke bieksa walk free, Not signing Jason Garrison Can't argue the Hamhius signing. Were not letting Edler walk after that season. you guys don't make sense. Hindsight 20/20
  17. joke of a team. Called it in November. called what? I said the last time the team lost 8 straight they missed the playoffs. I stand by my word. This team is a huge disappointment.
  18. Lebrun is 8 months late. We already know it's a re tool season, to an extent this season is kinda write off due to it being year 1 of the new CBA. I actually wouldn't mind seeing the Canucks tank it to land us a good young foward
  19. More info please. Puck awareness skills, puck possession skills, body positioning, his skating, puck control, shot, OVERALL awareness, whats his finess game like etc etc, who would you compare him to? who does he remind you off, blah blah blah. Thanks.
  20. Wrong. MIke Gillis is buying time, and is hoping the "right" player comes a long. A good gm will be patient, thank god you guys are gm's of the Vancouver Canucks! "Bold bold moves! It will cost ya? What????? NO WAAAAAAY. Fire mike Gillis for not convincing other gm to give us their all star for our 7th round pick!" Sincerely Clown on Canucks.com
  21. the problem is, these monkeys on Canucks.com are attacking Mike Gillis for not making a bold move, but they a lot are refusing to give up anything to get one. A bold move will be Horvat OR Shinkaruk along with 1st round pick, and a good roster out of our roster for a star player. At least. But most of us are unwilling to give up Or Horvat or Shinkaruk, I do not want to give those guys up, that said' Im not the one whinning for a bold move. You want bold move? Then your Arm chair trade offers better include a Shinkaruk and a Horvat.
  22. how many deep runs did Dave Nonis or let alone Brian Burke have?
  23. ....... It's just Mere comment harmless comment in regards to a prospect. What do you expect? For us to watch 40 games or so to decide that if a prospect is nhl ready or not? Lets say Horvat had a strong tourny instead, Canucks fans are thinking he will be NHL ready, I can say "You really shouldnt judge NHL readiness by a two week tournament." heck some fans even after 4 point night are saying "we need Horvat right now" and probably haven't even seen the guy play!
