2019 NHL Entry Draft in Vancouver, BC

I’d be thrilled with him at 6. Would look like another steal in a few years. -
Either way, I wouldn’t mind another Motte on the team

2019 NHL Entry Draft in Vancouver, BC

I've watched him a few times this year myself. I'm really excited at the possibility of adding him to our prospect pool. Don't know enough of some of the other prospects outside of the top few guys. If we end up drafting around 4-6, I'd love getting BB. -
Probably. I kind of expect that. Either way, he's in a tough spot. Maybe if Marky is only DTD, does MD get sent back down once the new guy arrives?

Was excited to see ZM play. First time getting to see him. Could definitely see a little nerves early, but he seemed to get more comfortable when given more ice time. Love the hustle, effort, and most importantly the hunger. Not enough of the latter with this squad last night. Maybe some guys can take notice and remember what it's like fighting for a job. They better take notice, as this team improves over the next couple years some of these guys with drop down the depth chart. Better start fighting for their futures now.

As much as I'd like to see Mikey D get another chance, as well as the team in from of him another chance to show better in front of him, I would be absolutely shocked if he was given another start. Even if Marky is unable to go, don't see the organization wanting to risk any chance of putting him through that again.

General Hockey Questions

What is with this scheduling? No games tomorrow? League just had the all-star break. Seemed like half the league had extra time off and another day with no games? Did the players negotiate this into the last CBA so they could all stay up late to drink and party during the Super Bowl? -
That'd be awesome

If he'd have to take a couple years, he's already a bust
-
People writing off a player that was a long shot to begin with? Oh wait, a 6th rounder with "potential" should be pushing for a job with the big club before his 1st season in NA is even 1/2 over.

Archi has been a good soldier. Just like Biega, doesn't come across as angry etc when he's not playing, but when he gets his chance it's hard to question the heart and effort. The problem is that if this team is to continue to improve and grow, it doesn't just involve improving our top end skill. It also means improving our depth and role players. Despite having some good size and playing physical, we still need to improve our lineup from top to bottom, which includes our 4th line. Unfortunately, Archi seems to be getting squeezed out.

Like the guy, but if he's "scooped up" it's not be on an NHL roster. He's 28 with 43 career NHL games. He'd be going to a team to be competition for younger players to beat out during camp. I wish him the best, but unfortunately it's most likely career AHLer with call up duty. Still not a bad living if you ask me.
-
Somethings wrong, why didn’t he get 2PPG????
-
Could be wrong but pretty sure age only applies to the AHL when drafted out of the CHL
-
The conspiracy theory in my head had the Isles at least getting 1st.....helps Bettman keep Tavares on Long Island. JT leaving would be terrible for that franchise.
-
Dahlin and then Hughes here at home next year
-
I’d take Havlat

Just imagine The Great One with today’s technology, nutrition and training. Possibly could make his 200 pt seasons look pedestrian
-
That’s the point of letting AG play the remaining games. He didn’t look too bad. These games give him and the organization a good opportunity to see where he is and allow them to get him ready to seize a spot in October. He seems to have that drive to succeed. I fully expect him to come to camp and make it very difficult to send him to Utica.

Yeah, they get confusing sometimes. Time to figure it out by then. Even so, don't think our forward depth by then would be an issue anyway. Most guys not named Bo or Brock that'd we'd want to protect would be exempt anyway.
-
I could be wrong. Just going by what is on CapFriendly. 16/17-17/18 = NMC, 18/19 - 19/20 NTC, 20/21 = 21/22 = Mod NTC
-
Was just going through the forward group as the concern was about AG having to be protected if he played this season, as we can protect 7 forwards.
-
In my opinion, it really wouldn't be a huge deal if we blew that year and had to protect AG. The way our forward group is looking around that time, there's not really much of a problem on protecting our forwards.... Bo & Brock definitely protected. Jake = Protected Sven = Either way, but probably protected if continues trending right way and can avoid "injury prone" status Goldy = Probably Twins = Long gone Loui = NMC becomes NTC, so most definitely exposed if still around Gagner = UFA prior to XDraft Granlund = Probably exposed if still around Gaunce = Doesn't matter, couple years to decide....if he's still around Any UFA's = still room for protection. All our other prospects will be exempt....worked out good that Dahlen went to Sweden as he'll be a "2 year Pro" and exempt. rotect Still think we look good for the Seattle Expansion Draft. Only a few "Must Protect" guys, a few "Could Protect" and and bunch of "Doesn't Really Matter" guys. I'm not worried. More than enough room to protect Gaudette.
