@Rounoush Their franchise crashed harder than we did after 2011

Canucks GM Jim Benning is looking to add "speed, speed, speed" in a trade according to Rick D. Rick also believes VAN will be hard after signing speedy UFA winger Michael Grabner. Grabner a former Canucks 1st round pick.

I'm digging that new community poll. But do people really think MDZ is better than Hutton?
-
Can you imagine a John Carlson/Olli Juolevi pairing?

So assuming the Sedins do retire this year do we look at signing Tavares as 14 mill gets free'd up? Yes I do realize, the Islanders will try to resign him asap but just for discussion...
We get a #1C that could replace Henrik allowing us to get an elite forward, speeding up our rebuild....
Thoughts? His points/ game and +/- stat are better against Western conference teams compared to Eastern (yes there is a smaller sample size)
What does a Tavares contract look like no matter who signs him?
-
I would assume that if Tavares hit free-agency he could possibly get McDavid-level money. $100M over 8 years is certainly not out of the question for a UFA in his prime that is arguably a top-10 or top-20 player in the league, especially with teams trying to out-bid each other for his services. I am sure he will get at least Toews-level money. I'd say he'd be worth it.

Might as well. I wouldn't give him $14M, however. Contracts-wise, we won't have anyone over $6M for the next few years unless Boeser becomes elite (which hopefully he does). We'll have ELCs in Dahlen, Pettersson, Juolevi, and Gaudette. An elite forward UFA signing could put us into playoff contention or more, especially if Horvat and Boeser become stars and our ELCs contribute.

Quick Saturday night three way...
EDM: Horvat + VAN 2nd + *TOR 2nd
TOR: Tanev
VAN: Draisaitl + Liljegren
*Edmonton receives the highest of Toronto's two second round picks
Draisaitl + Pettersson + Gaudette down the middle. Juolevi + Liljegren dictating play from the backend.

Had fun playing against Stecher over some paintball. Made sure to not hit him - don't want him getting injured haha. Side note: dude looks jacked as hell.
-
Quick three way:
COL: Hutton + Goldobin + MTL 1st
MTL: Duchene + VAN 2nd
VAN: Galchenyuk
Fair value?

@Alflives Three way trade Montreal trades out Galchenyuk and their 1st rounder for Duchene and our 2nd rounder

Where an you get a N64 for now? How much would they go for?
-
Drouin + 14th overall pick for Tanev + 5th overall pick?
-
I think a lot of people are sleeping on Jonathan Dahlen. I can see him in his young career taking a similar path to that of Sebastian Aho of the Canes.
-
How the times have changed, sad. I still and will always blame Gillis for not trading Schneider after the 2011 season....
-
Goldobin to debut on the 3rd line. Willie says he doesn't want to disrupt the chemistry on the top 2 lines. Thoughts?
-
Wtf Jordan Subban a healthy scratch tonight in Utica...
-
I like the Virtanen pick, but something in my gut tells me that if we drafted Ehlers instead Benning would have drafted Tkachuk to get that physicality. Imagine our top line... Tkachuk, Horvat, and Ehlers with Boeser and Baertschi on the second line...

RIP Larsen. We hardly knew ye.

Time to bring back Henrik Tommernes
