  1. Did Bure ever really hit top speed? Usually there was someone hooking him in the beginning of his rushes.
  2. He’s 1 of the 20 oldest forwards in the league now.
  3. This is kind of an irrelevant but something I was blown away by. But did you know that you or I can’t buy nhl level skates off of factories? A guy I played jrs with about 17 years ago tried getting me the same level of skates about 10 years ago that Crosby was wearing(RBK/Ribcore are good for flat footed people). He gave them my name and they wouldn’t sell them to me or him(even though he was playing in the AHL at the time). They wouldn’t even sell them for 4 grand, even though they were stickered at 2. So the only thing I can conclude from that experience is that nhl-grade skates must genuinely help guys skate better/faster.
  4. Exactly. At least the cold keeps a lot of the bad bad people out of those cities.
  5. I’ve actually never heard of that. But I watched a video of him speaking about it to what I’d assume is a group of university/college kids. His main racket was aquiring gas stations then skimming on taxes. But he also spoke about how he’d get ncaa athletes on his payroll and how he’d get NFL QBs and NBA players to change the outcome of games. on a side note* I once read how his dad used to hold “murder seminars” for other mafia guys.
  6. This guy gets it^. Even when Micheal Jordan owed them 12 million and thought he could get away with it, what happened? He disappeared from the nba for a year or two and his dad ended up having an unfortunate incident. Have you ever heard Franzese talk about how they do get college players and professionals to throw games?
  7. The cosmopolitan is owned by the Blackstone group. They just bought the Bellagio a couple weeks ago. Not smart on his part, I’m sure there’s some scary characters in behind the scenes that don’t like being played for $500,000. Would not be the least bit surprised if one day he just kind of goes missing.
  8. I think he might get 5-10 million. But I think that’s way too rich for our management.
  9. There’s currently 17 players in the nhl that are D-men, that are over the age of 33. Something tells me they’ll regret this contract for the last 4-6 years of it.
  10. Unfortunately we can’t afford it. The blue jays will only be willing to spend 50-55 million(not including Tulo’s retained salary). And it’s understandable considering we were a bottom 3 team in the majors.
  11. Amen. We’re the meat inbetween two pieces of unimaginably awful bread.
  12. Thank you. The guy always had endless skill, but his hockey IQ has always been lacking. Waaaay to easy to read. Waaaaay to slow now. Hopefully we try some better options soon.
  13. Yea just every level of jrs I’ve seen and pros I’ve heard all deep freeze game pucks. If you actually look at the time keepers bench they usually have a little freezer to keep pucks cold for when they get shot out of play.
  14. Joulevi might actually see a nhl game at this pace...
  15. Lol thank god that was Jamie Benn and not anyone tough.
  16. Yes at the start of the season there was only 52 players in the nhl older than 31 years old.
  17. Any allstar is no longer going to do a bridge contract as not many players play much beyond 30-32 anymore. So expect to pay a top 20 player in the league a 10+ million/season.
  18. I’d be telling the boys to get 2 handed Justice.
  19. Cameras are really sh***y, I noticed that too.
